Whoever came up with the idea to get rid of ranked playlist and implement SBM in core playlists at Activision is to blame for the fall of COD. He/she single handedly made at least half of the COD community leave.

If Activision really wanted more money wouldn’t it make more sense to have your player base happy and having fun in your game? It would encourage everyone to play more, buy skins, cod points etc.

I started playing CoD in Black Ops 1. I got literally destroyed for the first month or two. I could barely get an RC car. And that is actually what got me hooked. Had I been playing other noobs it wouldn't have been so addicting.
I reverse boosted for maybe ten games, and then had three excellent, fun games, and then back to pro league again. With SBMM, those of us with with some skill live in a different world, away from those who are mediocre at the game. Our paths never cross. It’s sweat lobbies all day every day, and it SUUCCKKKS.

I swear ever since I started using the vkm suddenly everyone uses it 🤦🏻♂️ I’m not saying only I can use it or only I have been using it. But I’m positive I have influenced a lot of the players using it because I was obliterating lobbies with it. I’m sure that happens to you guys as well. You start using a gun almost no one uses, they see you do good with it, then everyone suddenly uses it.

I came across so many players using god mode in matches that I gave up on the game. I sold that game and went back to black ops 4. That game was a waste of my time.
I am well below being a Pub Stomper or Nuke dropper but the lobbies I now get are insane, unless I play at 100% I get destroyed, add in server lag and it is a miserable experience. Doing any challenge or having a play with a non-meta gun is a nightmare. Every now and then the SBMM will give you a break and chuck you in a lobby where you will do well and then the next match will be back to a lobby sponsored by G-Fuel.
Thunder. regarding you getting paired against someone in Canada. The issue isn't you guys not having enough American players. Problem is there isn't enough Canadian gamers to justify Canada specific servers most of the time. So we just get stuck in American servers in these cases (west or east coast American servers depending on which side of Canada we live in).
This is why I can get a lobby faster on WaW when there is 700 ppl playing in the whole world, than I can on BO3, when I'm sure there are 10s of thousands of people online.
At this point, I don't even know if it's sbmm or the fact that everyone is actually better nowadays. I got noobs doing the same things as the high level guys in my lobbies which I don't necessarily mind, but gets annoying after a while
Not touched CoD in months, got Doom Eternal recently and been having WAAAAY too much fun on that, it’s got a little 2vs1 MP mode but the Campaign is the main focus and aw man, it’s actually too fun.

SBMM doesn’t really bother me but I do agree that it would be better if it were only in ranked league play lobbies. What annoys me the most about this game is how frustrating it is to rank up weapons. We all know that the M4/MP5 and 725 are OP so using anything else is painful when you are constantly up against those weapons. It’s no wonder people are pitching tents.
