Monster tune!
Hi Davy i see also simularitie's between the Tunes Stable Mates: the chromatic chain of Dominants I see also some influence of Charlie Parker of course in the Theme and in #9 b9 b13(b6) b7...Kind Regards, Ivor
Yeah and of course the Coltrane Change-alike concept bVi or b III what is it?
Hi Ivor, If Davy sees your question he can weigh in. Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.
hi davy! thank you for this video- i have been working on this tune for quite a while🤯… and i wonder, because you are talking about coltrane changes- Dbmaj7 Bm7 Amaj7 but then the Ab7 isn’t part of coltrane changes anymore right? i find the transition from Ab7 to Abm7 really difficult…. maybe at that speed one could ignore the Ab7?
Hi Tina, Hopefully, if Davy sees your questions he will have a response. In the meantime... Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.
