when I was a kid I thought those cars looked super cool and really wanted one but now as an adult I went to a dealer and sat in a few and the garbage visibility just makes it feel so claustrophobic even in the convertibles, definitely a "don't meet your heroes" kinda car for me the lack of visibility and the awful steering wheel were deal-breakers for me
The tr6060 comes in 07-14 gt500 not just 13-14 everyone always says 13-14 as if its totally changed from the earlier 5.4 cars when its not. Its bored to 5.8 and has slightly better oem cams and a betrer stock blower. Heads are the same and the trans is too other than the taller gearing for 1st and 6th in 13.
I always wanted to love those Camaro. When you look at them, i like them. But i really hate driving them. The windows are too high. It feels like i am in a coffin. The visibility is not great, you sit too low, and i cant put my left elbow in the window opening? F that. P.S. It was a souped up SS that i drove. Engine and mechanics were great. Just not that car. You feel trapped.
Hi guys i have a 4.0 V6 mustang as my project car here in Dominican republic and i want to swap it to a v8 but i just don't know wich one bc the 5.0 are very expensive especially here, any advice? I'm thinking about a 5.3 or 4.8 what you guys think?
@LaloVazquez-nj7pc exactly idk why everyone thinks it's so cheap to swap it into a mustang. Might as well get a 351 and build it to a 408 if you want a pushrod. I just hate how everyone puts the wrong brand engine into the big 3 I think Ford should have Ford gm have gm and dodge have dodge power plant. To swap an ls into a mustang and do all the stuff you gotta do to make it make and take power you could have just got a ford engine.
The reason I don't have a Camaro is because I like the 14-15 best in looks but 5th gen interior is so bad. The 6th gen is also such a better car in all aspects aside from looks. I couldn't win regardless of which Camaro I chose. That's why I ended up with an S550. There was no choice between s550 and s197 for me personally. Plus coyote.
i remember this one night i was scrolling aimlessly, feeling like i had hit rock bottom. it felt like nothing i wanted was ever going to happen for me. i don’t know why, but i clicked on this link about the book Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, and something about it drew me in. the more i read, the more i felt like it was written just for me. it’s wild how much a single book can change your perspective.
All of these people are talking shit about the man's car. The problem is it is his car and not anyone else's. If he likes how it looks and drives, then that's how he wanted it. Sounds to me like people just love to hate.
@904Saleen i suspect diffrent. It wouldn't even need building the way 4.8s come from the factory lol. I could see the cam addition, but that's about it. It can handle 800hp on a stock bottom end. Building it seems pointless...... unless compression is raised. With pistons...... that's often the case. That turns into head work being done or replaced.... you end up with bigger cubic inches without the need for a stroker kit. Most people don't consider how simply rods require head work and you get more cubes that way inadvertently

do many bots in these comments, car is awesome tho :)
Nice holden❤
I know what i'm doing to my 3rd gen after the 350! Lol
Any car that has the exhaust coming out the front bumper is NOT to be effed wit
After you said it had v6 brakes on it. It tells me a lot about the owner, have that much power and not being able to stop is useless 😂
The Brembos aren’t much better in terms of pad size and contact. We just swapped SS Brembos up front on it and it stops better but it’s not like it’s a night and day difference
Man some of those turbo LS set ups have a weird sound like a dead hole. That car especially off boost sounds like it has a dead hole .
Who woulda thought, that a Silverado truck engine inside the Camero?
You should do more American, budget style, hot rods.
How do you feel about 6 liter, t56 6 speed manual sierra?
i thought it was going to have the 8L bbc 😅
I always wanted a camaro but test drove one and those blind spots are ridiculous
Thing is awesome but needs alot wider wheel and tire set up or a drag pack. I can tell he wanted to get a full 2nd through 3rd gear pull but it was impossible
Tht steering wheel is more thicc than bmws😂😂
The 4.8 and the 5.3 are the same block so I guess it really depends on how it was “fully built”. Did they retain the 4.8 stroke and rod length? You kind of glossed over that.
My 08 Silverado has the 4.8 you can see on my channel what they sound like stock
Very cool
That was a much better intro
My buddy’s dad has a 5th gen SS N/A,big cam, tune, and supporting mods. Makes around 600+. I’ve been looking for a later style gto, any reviews?
Can’t wait to see LS swapped corvettes soon
I have a 4.8 sitting in my shop and ive always said if the engine goes in my 92 obs im going to slap it i. With a cheap turbo kit. Just something to play around with.
Shorter tires should help with the gearing (26 over 27).
Supercharged it to a
8-71 blower!!!
Daym. I'm almost finished with the same swap. Guess i shudda been faster
It’s a viable platform if you’re only going toward because you see anything to either side or back of that thing
Why a 4.8? Why not a vortec 6.0 lol
4.8 is way cheaper and looooooves boost.
Why not, its making 800 hp
There are many 4.8s out there vans trucks with 15 pounds of boost if setup right the 4.8 is a 5.3 with a 3.25 crankshaft it will rev and make some real good power it has so much power that it needs suspension and tires or your spinning
@DeathtrapQ60 this one has been built the bottom and top end.
@midnight347 l know guys who buy good used LS 4.8s at the junk yard for 700-900 dollars complete put a turbo on it and if the motor gets smoked they buy another one these engines stock can take a lot of abuse a friend years back had a 2002 Silverado 5.3 with head work new valves a LS1 camshaft and and valve springs otherwise a 100,000 mile engine he bracket raced it and was whacking it with a 150 hit of nitrous over 80 times and it still ran good his daily driver back 10 years ago try that with a new GM target 350 engine see what happens
You should buy a draggy and add those clips in your videos
Does anyone know what size exhaust he has with fender exit? Is it a 3, 3.5, or 4inch exhaust?
4”
@ is there a big sound or power difference between going with a 3 vs a 4inch? I’m curious because I have a fender exit (3inch) but have always wanted to go with a 4inch.
@ probably not a big difference. The Turbo might spool a little faster due to less back pressure
@ ok cool. Thanks for replying man
when I was a kid I thought those cars looked super cool and really wanted one but now as an adult I went to a dealer and sat in a few and the garbage visibility just makes it feel so claustrophobic even in the convertibles, definitely a "don't meet your heroes" kinda car for me the lack of visibility and the awful steering wheel were deal-breakers for me
Love it but sound like a clappy truck some times haha
I sat I'm it twice because my body fits perfectly in it me personally I don't see nothing wrong with the car most people won't like it like I do
That's intake pipe looks like it's collapsed
She slide
Hi guys i have a 4.0 V6 mustang as my project car here in Dominican republic and i want to swap it to a v8 but i just don't know wich one bc the 5.0 are very expensive especially here, any advice? I'm thinking about a 5.3 or 4.8 what you guys think?
Put a 4.8 with a turbo and a t56
Or if na put a 5.3 with a cam
LS swaps into S197s isint cheap
@LaloVazquez-nj7pc exactly idk why everyone thinks it's so cheap to swap it into a mustang. Might as well get a 351 and build it to a 408 if you want a pushrod. I just hate how everyone puts the wrong brand engine into the big 3 I think Ford should have Ford gm have gm and dodge have dodge power plant. To swap an ls into a mustang and do all the stuff you gotta do to make it make and take power you could have just got a ford engine.
@@midnight347 the cheapest swap is always going to be be LS into a GM platform wether it’s Camaro or into an old school GM car
build the 4.8 ( ring gap and ARP rods bolts ) 😂 and it makes 800hp lol gen 4 rods can take a beating
The 5.3 is just a 4.8 with more stroke, they have the same block.
3rd gear slowly get into it come on man 😅😅😅
The reason I don't have a Camaro is because I like the 14-15 best in looks but 5th gen interior is so bad.
Did you build a Camaro afterwards?
🐱 driving
All of these people are talking shit about the man's car. The problem is it is his car and not anyone else's. If he likes how it looks and drives, then that's how he wanted it. Sounds to me like people just love to hate.
I think people be sleeping on the 4.8 because of it's displacement. You can get them super cheap
Tub it.
I miss my 1969 Camaro!
....must....gamble...
Let’s be thankful the transformers films let bumblebee sound like a Chevy v8 and not just a generic v8 sound lol
I agree
Silver- WHAT
the owner should put street e/t r's on that thing
It's likely not a stock displacement 4.8L anymore if the motor is built accommodating built rods and ported cylinder heads
Its still a 4.8. Simple Rod, Piston, And Texas Speed Cam kit
