Thank You So Much!! I'm a 79 year old land lubber from Washington State, U.S.A. I would never have dreamed to travel to these exotic places without this Great video. Here in my twilight years, am so blessed to have this opportunity.
Good old Great Britain, we’ve been here independent from 1066 the last time these lands had been successfully invaded, no other country in the World can say that!
I only found this channel a couple of days a go. David attenborough eat your hat. If i'm not mistaken. These videos were created by Tony fleming himself. Sailing on his own yacht. Built in his own boat yard.I bend the knee Sir.
Dear Tony, Your expertise in making these videos should be held as a bench mark to travel documentary makers everywhere, I enjoyed every single second, with your wonderful knowledge and passion for everything encountered on your sojourns, just like we had been there with you, bless you for posting this, I shall look forward to seeing more, take care and best wishes for calm seas and prosperous voyages
@@davemccorquodale5148 Thanks Dave, there is far too much mediocrity abounding with the so called celebrities and bad presenters....take care and thank you for your support
As a Scot I suppose I’m biased, this was absolutely stunning ! If the weather is half decent there is no where I’d rather be than the west coast of Scotland . It’s utterly beautiful!
Maybe we could get him to do a trip with a few of us fans onboard lol I would definitely pay for the chance to experience a trip like this. Ive watched all of the videos of Venture and dream of someday being able to do the same. Cheers mates
such a gift for telling a story....a good eye for scenes and beauty, s sense of how to tie all together, great selection of music to set a feeling, and that voice....sage, calm, knowing. God has certainly blessed him w/such gifts, and not to mention the ability to design great boats, and I am glad to have come across these videos.
As a stick and rags sailor I have to thank you for a wonderful travelogue. Every aspect, photography, sound, music, narrative, choice of shot and seamanship was unquestionably superb. Thank you for sharing. Capt John
Tony has done a fantastic library of films and his dialog is great! We sold our classic 40 foot Matthews 15 years ago. We spent 25 years cruising Washington and British Columbia and thanks to Tony for being able to relive the many places we cruised, as we are now 80 years old.
People seem so nonchalant about passing in front of the ruins of a castle in a modern day vehicle be it boat or car. Just seeing these magnificent structures gives me goosebumps, I am so impressed. Everything that I have seen in these wonderful videos emphasizes the cohabitation between the ancient and the modern.
Each time I have viewed this wonderful video, I am so moved. There are so many reasons why, but I think what touched me most is your visit to your great-grandfather's childhood home and his story of so long ago. I believe that our Mr. Fleming, has most definitely inherited his great-grandfather's poetic spirit! On to Part two, again!
I've lived next to the Atlantic ocean my whole life, boating, swimming every season, this is a great series of videos I enjoy very much, these boats are well thought-out and stable ocean going vessels, thank you for virtual cruises and great scenery and ports of call. 🙏🌎🇺🇸🇨🇦
Oh wow! What an amazing record of a journey. I would so love to be a part of that. Superbly narrated and edited. I shall watch part two tomorrow, until then I shall lay in my bed tonight dreaming of sailing those waters......! Well done for putting this together and thanks for sharing this.
Tony, thank you for such an expert documentary. What a pleasant and relaxing evening you have provided me, form your spot on music, knowledge, photography, your spectacular focus on presentation and your extremely calming voice, all put together in such a natural way as to perfectly match the beautiful natural surroundings you have shared with us. I have learned over time that one must put a lot of time and effort into making these videos and to accomplish such quality, one must love what they are doing. I admire and respect the position that you have accomplished in life to enable you and your family/ friends to do these adventurous trips, you deserve it as I can feel your enjoyment, taking us along and sharing something that we will not get the chance to do. We owe you, CHEERS. Jim Young Halifax Nova Scotia . By the way, it sure would have been nice to visit with you guys when you were in Halifax awhile back.

Very well done video record of a remarkable trip. Unlike too many travel videos, you keep the focus on the scenery, not the traveler. The narration is lean and informative. My only regret is that you lost your primary, higher definition camera relatively early in the trip.
The cinematography, musical scores and narration in your documentaries are stunning and on the level of Nat Geo. Thanks so much for sharing your journeys!
Man that was heaven, I felt like I just had the best journey of my life, just something about this documentary, the way its narrated was just relaxing.now I want to be a sailer.
Amazing opportunity to join such a journey even in screen during our restricted seasons. And what an experience it must be, if the spectator mate is a yachtman! Thank you very much for the sharing, Peter, Hungary (67, used to sail 420, 470, Dragon, Elliott 770)
I am stunned and delighted to come across this series. Two years ago My Wife and Daughter Toured Scotland, including many places that you visited. I will return, soon and for a while so as to know the people. Thank you for the memories.
Thank you from Adelaide, South Australia, Australia ❤ the journey ❤ Robert Louis Stevenson & his father. Learning every day about my Great Nannie family.
Most people think British weather stinks but give me this any day; the atmosphere and changing mood is simply stunning in the right locations - no such thing as bad weather in UK, only bad clothing, preparation and equipment. Thanks for a lovely reminder for some of the places I have visited over the years. Gary: North Wales,
How lovely to see the beautiful coastline of our wonderful British Isles. Your narative is reminiscent of Sir John Betjeman, a gene you have obviously inherited from your great grandfather. It is one of the best documentaries i have seen for a while.
What are great documentary! Beautiful. Cheers to hard work, and good decisions in life that allowed you to make such an awesome journey and the skills to turn it into a wonderful documentary for us all to enjoy!!
A very beautiful video which I really enjoyed thank you! It seems that you have inherited your great grandfather's poetic view of things. We have had visits to many of these wonderful places, including Jura, Mull and Iona. The guys piloting the tour boat to Staffa are very skilful in mooring at that jetty, it must take a lot of practice and no room for error! The puffins on Staffa were so lovely. Loved your picture of Poolewe 55:44

@@FlemingYachts oh thank you!!! I’m currently watching “Part Two-Venture to Iceland.” Absolutely love this series. “Alaska to Nova Scotia” is my favorite though. I’m watching from Oregon 🥰
Tony, been a fan for long time but I am HAPPY beyond belief you reUploaded your original VENTURE video, making them longer and in a higher resolution (1080p), too!
All videos created over the past three years have been shot in 4K although this has been reduced to 1080p for uploading. However, if you are into HD, quite a number of videos have also been uploaded onto the Vyou channel on the Roku streaming service. Some of these videos are in 4K-HDR
I really appreciated your straightforward approach and you sound very much like people I grew up with, and adventures I have had. At 78, soon to be 79 sailing alone for me is no longer an option, and although I held a USCG 100 ton ticket years back, I am no longer qualified. But your documentary certainly brought back many memories and for an old man, DrakesPassage on a cruise ship was spectacular.
I was entranced from start to finish. It's just brilliant. I have so much admiration for anyone taking a trip like this. The video is perfectly done. Thank you so much! Greetings from the west coast of Florida😊😊😊😊
Such a wonderful piece of art, thank you so much for sharing. I have sailed those waters many times in my time with The Royal Fleet Auxiliary. I would love the chance to sail them and take in the stunning beauty of the west of Scotland at a leisurely pace like you have. Interestingly, for all the seas and oceans I have sailed upon, the passage from Rosyth to Glen Mallan in Loch Long was the worst seas I ever encountered. Hurricane force 13 in the treacherous Pentland Firth with it's 16 knots tide is probably the only time I have ever been in fear of my life at sea.
This is certainly a most enjoyable video. As I wannabe boater I'm living vicariously. I was just brought up short however when I realized that I knew the name Isle of Jura. I once had a bottle of single malt scotch from that distillery. Of the three that came in that gift box, that was the one I like the most.
Your documentaries bring a smile to my face! Thank you! "I've slipped the surly bonds of earth" (Richard Bach) through a career in aviation...but my desire to learn to sail is in my blood.....how about a tandem kayak with a $17 sail? Reckon that would suffice? The waters are calling! Ocean liners don't really count, although they provide a joy upon the seas....I'll settle for a catamaran with a gib and main........or, a kayak with a $17 sail. Or a seaplane rating.......my bucket list has done spilt! And "1984"....with George Orwell.....and we're sitting here watching this come into fruition....but just a retro thought to a 70 year old in November....Again, thank you! The music is always a plus!!! Mendelssohn! I've played a bunch of his piano works. Guess I should shut up until the end of this presentation? And, Behold! The beauty of His Creation! The shark, I thought, at first may be a whale shark, but clarified in your commentary. Basalt formations abundant in this video.... Shuddup, Sandy! Cash? Eve our convenience stores have been not accepting cash......oh, well....again, shuddup Sandy. Don't rock the boat.
Absolutely fascinating. The best maritime travel documentary I've seen yet. Brilliantly edited. This voyage is on a priority list of places to visit. Thank you

Great commentary, with all the hype of today it's refreshing to hear straight forward, intelligent commentary. Much appreciated.
