    I worked for a state university for several years, and on day one I was told that everything I do at work is public record. I was further told that since I had control of most of these public records, I was to provide them without question or delay to anyone that requested them. The only exceptions were things with any student information, and any personnel issues. It was made crystal clear to me that if I failed in my duties as a keeper/creator of public records, I would be terminated the same day. Why are our "police" not trained the same way?

      @@Jimfundercover2 Well, not to be giving the City, the County or the State any ideas, but FOIA is LAW... and "if" the Feds want to hand out "Private" phones to employees, there may be a way for them to circumvent the FOIA... but I'm guessing that the farthest they could get with that is "delays" in releasing the evidence, or "editing" or Redacting, like they do with everything else.

      Firstly, I don’t believe that there is any proof that the officer was actually recording the encounter. The officer said he was, but that could’ve been a bluff. So in my view, the officer could’ve erased it and claimed he was never really recording. I love that james followed up on what he said he was going to do and FOIA-ed the recording. Brass balls as always...

      John Banks Why yes I did watch the entire video. Frankly, my favorite part was when the officer said “This is my video”. The very next scene was James saying, “Now it’s mine”! Hilarious. Obviously the officer is nearer retirement than he is the beginning of watch and he wants to go along to get along. If you recall, if you are old enough, late 2015, Apple refused to reveal the San Bernadino terrorist attackers phone passcode to authorities. However, so I’ve heard, that municipality paid up words of one million dollars for a hacker to break into it.     ANY photo taken by a government employee on duty is available via a FOIA. The ownership of the device taking the photo is not relevant. Deleting it is a crime.

      @@fedimusmaximus2454 it is the responsibility of the government employee to know that as soon as they push record or click the shutter that whatever is captured is government property. The employee gets to keep the phone of course but the images captured belong to the government if they were taken while he was on duty performing his job. The sticky issue is whether or not the government employee actually took a photo or made a video and was not just holding up the phone to create the image. you can certainly bet if the government employee slipped and fell well taking a photo he would be eligible for workers comp.

      I have people walk behind me nearly every day...I dont have, nor have I seen anyone else in that normal situation have panic attacks over it.

    The brickwork was awesome as were 'most' of the staff there. Plain view doctrine and not even any signage saying 'stay out of the your gardens'. I bet theres a 6'ft fence around that garden now 😆😆🤣...

    Edit: The instant that I submitted this comment he called you a sovereign citizen. I hope we all know who the real sovereign citizens are in The United States by now and it ain't those who are trying to defend their Constitutional Rights; it's those who use "qualified immunity" claims in court to say that they're above the law after violating Constitutional Rights of others...💯

    Hey man, thanks so much for showing the FOIA request form and how you filled it out.
    I watch a lot of "auditing" videos lately, and have learned so much from watching the common patterns across different channels and videos or interactions. I'm learning the law through you guys.
    However, this is possibly the first time I've seen a video where someone has actually shown me some of the paper work side of these processes.
    I think a lot of people are anxious about the idea of doing what you do, for themselves, because they do not have a clue about the paper work, and with regards to anxiety, I suspect many people naturally go for the videos on handling interactions, instead of handling paper work.
    Lets face it, most of the exciting drama is not the paper work! I know this fro myself.
    But it's really nice to be gently walked into the paper work side of understanding our rights and becoming familiar with practicing the art of protecting everyone's rights.
    I'm from Ireland, so the American stuff only assists me so much.
    Over here though, we do have what is sort of like a constitution. It's called that, but it's Glossa'd (or glossed) from what I can see. However the fake courts here Act like it's a common law constitution.
    We appear to have a similar common law "constitution", with legal Statutes and Acts applied on top.
    So in many ways it seems I may have this same ability to stand in the common law of the land, as well as step into the matrix of commerce, to be a citizen or person with a surname.
    Still figuring out what it is I don't know that I should know XD
    I do not want to interact with my government and let them know what I might know and use later, as they are more dangerous than what you guys might be used to.
    It seems best for me to gather knowledge outside of the states watch, as much as possible(spying on me through social media not withstanding).
    Anyway, I appreciate the inside view of the FOIA request process, and hope you can explain more about these types of processes, and how to avoid certain paper work tricks, scams or issues when interacting with the state or it's agents/agencies.
    I watch these videos mainly for the education, not the entertainment. Although, they are very entertaining too :)

Yes James has lots of other things he would like to be doing but unfortunately in this day and age with the government unwill to hold themselves to a higher standard he and other citizens are forced to hold a camera so they can do the job we expect of them to do.
