The "job qualification requirement" is just a trojan horse for mass immigration from India. This needs to be investigated further. (*) Australia blindly imports truck drivers from countries like India with supposedly sufficient credentials. On arrival into the country they get their foreign license converted into an Australian MC license (All weights and configurations i.e. BDouble, Road Train etc) and clearly most, If not all, have never driven long, heavy trucks before and in some cases no truck at all. It's a scam that's putting Australian road users at risk and for some reason, It's one the government turns a blind eye to. I noticed 9 out of 10 Uber drivers are Indian. The government have said the IELTS requirement is being increased yet some of the drivers I've had recently hardly spoke a word of English.
