You should have watched how the Asians - particularly the Japanese and Koreans move to a new place. They clean it first, thoroughly.

Exactly! I good deep clean to sanitize and disinfect the place. But, maybe this is a newly built apartment or it doesn’t bother them. As long as they are comfortable in THEIR apartment is all that matters.
