@@Deejay-e2f It is a little known side effect, but it can result in a higher rating so definitely point it out if you are getting reevaluated for neuropathy!
@@thevocalveteran They recently diagnosed me with Peripheral Neuropathy in feet. and i guess now i know why no hair on my legs. My feet and lower legs also swell up. I have 10% hearing loss. 10% tinnitus 70% mental health 10% acid reflux. Was curious as to if this could be secondary to any of these other issues. Thank you.
@@thevocalveteran In my case I have CIDP next best thing to MS. last summer my claim on my own behalf and with a scathing DR. Note was granted. Based on the Camp Lejeune toxic water for Both legs, one arm , and Sciatica 40%. I had 2 C&P exams and each time they were pushing for me being borderline Diabetic. I am 64 and never been diagnosed for it and examiners trying to wiggle in a lie there. My leg hairs are wiped out too, I am now going for a secondary of anxiety and depressing.
Unfortunately this happens to many veterans who have jobs that should make it very obvious it caused their injuries. I would recommend an appeal and personal statement.
I have radiculopahty and neuropathyin my lower extremities. I only see rating for radiculopahty. I just filled for the neuropathy and they said yeah, you have the rating for it. I'm confused and frustrated with this back ally raters.
Call VA (1-800-827-1000) and ask for your rating code sheet. That will give you a clear picture of what you are rated for including the diagnostic codes.
Same here! I filed diabetic neuropathy and radiculopathy but was rated for only radiculopathy. I filed radiculopathy secondary to back pain. The rater told me it's the same; however these are separate conditions so I refined and waiting on results, which they noted as an increase?
@@Deejay-e2f I would call VA (1-800-827-1000) and ask for a ratings code sheet. They can email it to you right away. Then look at the diagnostic codes they used for your ratings and see if any correspond to neuropathy. If not, then you know how to argue back when they say you are already rated for it.

Most common reason is diabetes but it could also be from nerve damage or exposure to extreme temperatures.
