Through the years of listening to this I always thought that the outro of the song was a sax but hearing it live was the keyboards doing it al along...my mind was really blown this time
It's indeed a sax in the studio version, played by Spyro Gyra's Jay Beckenstein. During live performances, Moore used to play Beckenstein's melody on keyboards.
