I'm 5'2" as well, put on 7 kgs since I turned 60! Highest weight 62kg,OMG Time to start losing! I was 55kgs for many years. Thank you so much for all your ideas and inspiration, I have watched a lot of your weight loss videos!
Congrats Frédérique 🥳 I used this almost year long lockdown to cut out my biggest enemy, sugar. I was having 1 in tea and I wasn’t thinking it’s a lot but I tracked how many times I drank tea in a day and it was an insane amount of sugar. So now I’m at none 🙂
Calorie deficit, consistency and movement. You nailed it....sounds simple but it is always so hard. But if you stick with it, it will work. Whatever way you choose to be in a calorie deficit will work, all diets will work, if you are consistent! This was a great video Frederique. X

A gluten free kitchen is key. I married an Italian man who is celiac. I didn’t grow up eating pasta, so I don’t miss it. Part of our gluten free diet (house of 2 hunger teenagers) is that I make breads, cakes, and all baked goods by scratch. I make fresh pizza dough, focaccia, cookies, pancakes, you name it. I focus on meals that don’t call for wheat flour rather than making gluten free versions of recipes. Rice based, potatoes based etc. I’m 5’6, 47, 135lbs, walk in city center daily, always take the stairs, water & crackers for lunch, full 2-3 course meals for supper and a piece of fruit or ice cream. But, I also live in Italy, which access to proper fruits & veggies is a stroll away. I read Le francesi non ingrassano (French Women Don't Get Fat) years ago. It taught me about the good fat, the cheesy stinking type of good fat that Europeans do so well.

The first 10 days of lockdown last year, I didn’t eat at all out of stress and lost 6kg in a little over a week...so I know it can be done. Now that I’ve gained that weight back, plus extra kilos, I’ve been worried 😟 about losing again. You have given me hope that it’s possible.
great video. I, too, gained weight during lockdown .....30 pounds on a 5'6" frame. yikes. My gym closed, I didn't leave the house, I watched too much Netflix, I snacked and I got depressed. The more I gained the more I got depressed. Then 6 weeks ago I found the perfect eating plan for me and I have lost 15 pounds so far. My goal is to lose 30 more. I ate no fast food or carry out during lockdown and I have continued with that. I fix all my food myself, no processed food, no red meat and very little dairy. I do eat three meals a day but each meal is only about 300 -400 calories. The diet allows two snacks but I'm never hungry enough to eat them. I eat during an eight hour time frame with my biggest meal at 1:00. Sometimes I skip dinner because I'm not hungry. I have so much more energy and I am starting to feel better about myself. I should reach my goal by the end of October. I was always thin so this really got to me. Oh, and I'm 72! But I seriously feel like I did at 35 and most people who meet me for the first time think I'm 50. Age is just a number. Eating well and taking care of ourselves is everything. My Dad is a healthy vibrant 96 year old and has exercised every day his whole life. I hope to be like him. Thank you for your videos. I look forward to them so much and I love your style. You did good for your health as well for your well being. That’s what really counts in life. Feeling good about yourself. I’m now 52 and although I’m still slim I have body fat I was not used to. I work out, always have but really need to eat. I use loads of energy but even so a lot less than I used to. working from home and not being able to go out freely has changed my everyday life drastically. I work home from home, do my best but still not getting the weight i felt ok in. I have gained 2 kg at least so I can imagine your struggle. I congratulate you for your strength and results. You look wonderful. I lost weight (20 lbs.) a few years ago with IF, too. I’m 5’3”, and my best weight is about 125 lbs., size 6, any smaller and I look gaunt. Only you know what weight you feel best at. Sounds like you’re going about the weight loss in a healthy way. 💕💕

At the moment sugar is my problem. I will change this now that the Spring is here in the UK! I know I can lose it again, just cutting down my sugar and not eating after 5 or 6pm. The idea of intermittent fasting I took from you 😘
and not just sugar but empty calories and can lead to overeating, PLUS, the body has to work hard to burn off the alcohol before digesting the food thoroughly so it creates a sluggish metabolism!!!! And BTW, you look so healthy and gorgeous!!!!

You look fabulous, not just slimmer but healthier and happier. I always eat less when I'm busy out and about - that was the problem for lots of us with lockdown. I also do intermittent fasting. For sleep, I use the twilight app on my devices to reduce blue light before bed, it's a good reminder to switch them off too.

Yes! drinking and nuts are a great combo for gaining weight. Also, sitting on the couch during a pandemic , too😂 I have been doing intermittent fasting too, and I have lost about 10 pounds since January. I have a way to go, but I'm pretty happy with the journey because my clothes fit better. Maybe one day I'll do a video about it. Great content as always, Frederique!
Frederique, you talk about your weight 'blowing up' but I've been subscribing and watching your channel for the best part of a year and in all that time I didn't see any huge weight gain at all - but so happy you have found what has worked for you now. I'm in my early 50s and have maintained a 25lb loss for almost 10yrs, it is getting tougher, even being active I've had to cut my calories a bit more but once we figure out how much we can eat to maintain/lose we can get results - I hear ya on it being slow, when I was losing I was lucky to lose 2lbs a month/1kg -THAT is slow for sure!, it takes consistency and patience. You look fab, but you always do and you look sooo freaking good in your undies! go you! :-) I prefer not to drink my calories in general and maintain effortlessly now with the 16:8 method. Your weight loss of 7kgs in 3 months when you didn't have a lot to lose in the first place was a LOT. I will say be careful you don't lose any more, as we get older we do look more haggard and wrinkly if we're too thin - you look to be at your optimum weight now :-). We're similar height/stats, the lightest I got to was 56kg but that was too light for me. So what looks good on one person might be too thin for another. I was so excited to watch this video. Guess what, I ran to see what you looked like when you were at your highest weight because we are about the same height and I can never find a French blogger who is my size! Either they are extremely thin with 'boy hips' or they are plus size. The last few years I went from a US 4/6 to US 10/12 but even when I am smaller I have 'hips' so your figure is more relatable for me. And I love Oscar - he is so loveable.
Well done Frederique, you look terrific! I lost weight on Keto and intermittent fasting and feel much better than I did years ago. I do eat a lot of fat to maintain my weight as I don't want to lose any more.
Lockdown weight gain...a lot of us experienced this. I was going in and out of hospital dealing with multiple surgeries and painful recoveries along with Covid sooooo yes I gained 5 kilos too...I am now doing I.F. it suits me. Enjoy your new body 🌻

So i will try - intermittent fasting, no gluten (bread, pasta, what else?). I like to use dairy products - cotagge cheese and kefir. i need to lose 20kg but 7kg in 3 months would be soo great!!!

YOU LOOK FANTASTIC! Intermittent fasting is the best way I know how to lose weight. Obviously eating healthier...but my struggle was eating after dinner before bed! Now, after dinner I fast until lunch the next day and it has helped me out so much. I’m pretty tall, 5’8” and have lost 15 pounds...want to lose some more. I am in my late 40’s and IF works the best.

Intermittent fasting is very good for your skin as well. I do it from noon until 7 AM as I just can't go without eating first thing, and I've never liked eating supper. Sleep is way better too.

Gah, I also eat no meat, eggs dairy or processed food. I do not drink alcohol. Still managed to gain almost 9 kilos over covid!!! Started swimming and trying to reduce, but I'm over 50 and it's a challenge.

I'm 52 and 160 cm hight. My weight is 50 kg as I remember I was always slim. What I eat? Fat, fat, fat, meat and fish, green wegetables and that's it.

I have been doing intermittent fasting too, and I have lost about 10 pounds since January. I have a way to go, but I'm pretty happy with the journey because my clothes fit better. Maybe one day I'll do a video about it.

Frederique, you talk about your weight 'blowing up' but I've been subscribing and watching your channel for the best part of a year and in all that time I didn't see any huge weight gain at all - but so happy you have found what has worked for you now. I'm in my early 50s and have maintained a 25lb loss for almost 10yrs, it is getting tougher, even being active I've had to cut my calories a bit more but once we figure out how much we can eat to maintain/lose we can get results - I hear ya on it being slow, when I was losing I was lucky to lose 2lbs a month/1kg -THAT is slow for sure!, it takes consistency and patience. You look fab, but you always do and you look sooo freaking good in your undies! go you! :-) I prefer not to drink my calories in general and maintain effortlessly now with the 16:8 method. Your weight loss of 7kgs in 3 months when you didn't have a lot to lose in the first place was a LOT. I will say be careful you don't lose any more, as we get older we do look more haggard and wrinkly if we're too thin - you look to be at your optimum weight now :-). We're similar height/stats, the lightest I got to was 56kg but that was too light for me. So what looks good on one person might be too thin for another. I was so excited to watch this video. Guess what, I ran to see what you looked like when you were at your highest weight because we are about the same height and I can never find a French blogger who is my size! Either they are extremely thin with 'boy hips' or they are plus size. The last few years I went from a US 4/6 to US 10/12 but even when I am smaller I have 'hips' so your figure is more relatable for me. And I love Oscar - he is so loveable.

Lockdown weight gain...a lot of us experienced this. I was going in and out of hospital dealing with multiple surgeries and painful recoveries along with Covid sooooo yes I gained 5 kilos too...I am now doing I.F. it suits me. Enjoy your new body 🌻

I’m 5’ 5” I’ve lost 32lbs. Still 15lbs to go. I can’t imagine weighing below 135 lbs. we’ll see how I feel. Stopped eating bread and sugar. Zero processed foods!!! Thank you for sharing your journey. What was your business you lost due to COVID ?

So i will try - intermittent fasting, no gluten (bread, pasta, what else?). I like to use dairy products - cotagge cheese and kefir.

YOU LOOK FANTASTIC! Intermittent fasting is the best way I know how to lose weight. Obviously eating healthier...but my struggle was eating after dinner before bed! Now, after dinner I fast until lunch the next day and it has helped me out so much. I’m pretty tall, 5’8” and have lost 15 pounds...want to lose some more. I am in my late 40’s and IF works the best.

Intermittent fasting is very good for your skin as well. I do it from noon until 7 AM as I just can't go without eating first thing, and I've never liked eating supper. Sleep is way better too.

Gah, I also eat no meat, eggs dairy or processed food. I do not drink alcohol. Still managed to gain almost 9 kilos over covid!!! Started swimming and trying to reduce, but I'm over 50 and it's a challenge.
I am 50 and fully menopausal. Don't use age as an excuse.

Have cut them out and doing some exercise and slowly starting to lose a few pounds. I tell myself it didn't come in in 2 weeks and it's not going to leave in 2 weeks 😂. Patience....

I love how honest you were in this video! Thank you for sharing. I would love to see how you lost weight with this disease, as you know you get very tired.
