If someone is trying to save lives they wouldn't use the same needle on another person. They would just empty the syringe before the injection or just use an empty syringe.

Apparently, there was no second check performed of the syringe as that would incur a higher cost. Even an empty syringes with a retractable needle will still depress when you press the plunger. The extra pressure causes the needle to retract into the barrel. So when you press the plunger on a retracting syringe (that's what she's using) it will still depress. Also, that syringe wasn't completely depressed. They come out of the box with the plunger at about the 1cc mark. It looks to me like that is what she injected.

There are countless videos of other countries tries having the same thing happen with older patients as well. The person injecting would have known before injecting. They noticed a photo was taken so wanted to cover their basis if that came back. Other issue was it was used on someone else and infected with who knows what.
