Ireland is a very interesting country. My daughter has visited Ireland and loved it. My daughter believes that we have Irish ancestry on my mother's side. Whether of not she can confirm that ancestry link, I still think Irish. I wear Irish sweaters and flat caps, because I look good. And Saint Louis has some good Irish celebrations, such as St. Patrick's Day.
Luckily a previous Athlone town official didn't get his wish to demolish the castle and create a car park. True... go look it up The Batteries, were demolished around that time Oh dear . Vandals
