Arley and Ansley Big Local Legacy

Arley and Ansley Big Local is one of 150 areas across the country to be part of the national Big Local initiative and receive a National Lottery grant of £1million.
The initiative is resident led and had approximately 10 years to use their funding. Officially starting our community project in 2016 and first known as the Leys Millionaires. Our mission has been to ‘make Arley and Ansley Village an even better place to live for residents’.
Arley and Ansley Big Local closed on 31st August 2024.
Through consultations, engagement events and feedback we have used the £1million National Lottery funding to host community events, fund the Leys Youth Project, deliver a grant giving programme, commission advice and support projects and invest in many community initiatives. The programme has been run by many local volunteers, forming the Partnership Board, supported by CAVA and Local Trust.
Arley and Ansley Big Local have been keen to focus on providing lasting change and opportunities for the villages.
