Isn’t it amazing how just the music itself can be so descriptive? In this first listen, I heard ONLY the music, and yet, it conveyed ideas which I found out afterwards were in the video clip!
Here’s the link to the original song:

Thumbs this up so she’ll listen to I Am Not A Vampire (Revamped)!
Yes I think that would be more for her as well as “The drug in me is you” reimagined
Agree. Try the reimagined or revamped songs by Falling in Reverse. I am Not a Vampire Revamped is extremely different than Watch the World Burn! And you HAVE to show the videos for Falling in Reverse videos because they are all fantastic and entertaining.
Yes! I'd love to hear her insights!
Absolutely!! Any re-works would be perfect!
Yes please!
Last Resort (reimagined)
Piano, cellos, right in your wheelhouse! 🤘🏼
THIS!!!!
Your ability to step so far outside of your comfort zone and still speak so eloquently about it is the main draw of this channel for me. I'm not surprised you didn't like it, no one with two brain cells to click together should have expected you to like it. But the fact that you listened and still found at least a few mildly positive things to say is very respectable. This is a pretty unique reaction channel and you can't say that very often, lol.
This band is multi zanras and Ronnie the lead singer can sings everything. Check : ARTISTIC CLASSIC OPERETIC Songs : The drug in me is Reimagined & Last Resort Reimagined, I'm not a Vampire Revamped only singing with PIANO, CHELLO, VIOLINS...... Much ❤ things are written here that they don't know about the band
Genres* 👍😁
He may have said that he wasn't going to write about love but he actually wrote a beautiful piano ballad called "Brother" it's about his brother who passed away and left his family behind. So moving.
That one's a tearjerker for sure.
Listen to The Drug in Me Is Reimagined by Falling in Reverse, or Last Resort by falling in reverse. Same singer, same band, WAY different style that you’ll love
I Am Not A Vampire (Revamped) really is in your wheel house I think, amazing video as always!
I wasn't expecting to see a falling in reverse song on your channel lol. They're one of the best bands out right now...
I know this was something completely out of your comfort zone so I understand how you feel.
Since you want something more artistic. I recommend you check out some of their reimagined series. They're more of ballad songs then heavy rap metal like this one.
Great reaction either way though. Hope we see more of falling in reverse in your channel in the future. 😌✨
I find this channel very interesting. It was a huge step to go so far outside of your comfort zone. I'm not sure I would have started you off with 'Watch the World Burn' LOL it was a very bold choice. Falling in Reverse gets a lot of its popularity from straight talk about mental health and the struggle inside your own head to maintain any kind of 'normal' life. The cursing is actually necessary in a lot of ways I think, because this is how a lot of people talk and if you can't relate to their way of communication it lessens the impact of the message of the song.
The song starts in spoken word, transitions into rap, then transitions to rock, and then transitions into metal.
Ronnie does combine multiple genres of music in basically every song, including classical/opera.
His cover of last resort just might bring a tear to your eye. He sings so well. His falsetto is beautiful.
Another interesting band you can react to is Sleep Token, particularly a song called "The Summoning" or "Take me back to Eden"
which mixes genres (as many other bands) but in that case mixes metal and rock with R&B and ambient music
It was interesting when you talked about the background music making you feel like it's in a church, when in the video, he is in a church. I know your focus is the music, but so much of Falling In Reverse's musical experience is to see the video with the music. If you do react to their reimagined versions of songs (I'm Not a Vampire Revamped, The Drug in Me is Reimagined, Last Resort Reimagined), I would recommend you also watch the video. Excellent reaction.
Please more falling in reverse ❤❤
I never clicked on a video so fast 😂. You absolutely MUST check out the live version of this. Or at least check out some of his nearly operatic vocals in I'm Not a Vampire Revamped. His cover of Last Resort is absolutely stunning as well. Ronnie is a truly talented artist.
Crude expressions. The point is this, in my opinion: language is beautiful and ever growing, as is the human emotional state and a great way to communicate certain ideas and feelings, as are all other words. I really enjoyed your reaction, thank you!
First time seeing your channel because of the falling in reverse reaction. It's really cool to see all these different genres of music reacting to music they don't normally listen to. I'd really like to hear what you think about falling in reverse "Last resort reimagined" would be way more up your alley, also Im not a vampire revamped and the drug in me is you reimagined.
First time aeeing your channel. Very refreshing to see someone so out of the loop and from a much more classical background. But yeah this band is crazy talented and i would suggest their revamped or reimagined songs. Last resort reimagined has a real classical feel to it.
I understand your reticence to enjoy the foul language. One of the things that can help maybe bring that into focus is understanding that certain songs like this one are harnessing your pain and rage to Express it in a healthy way and sometimes you can be in so much pain and have so much rage that foul language is the only way to get your feelings across. Otherwise fantastic reaction can't wait to see more I agree with every other comment the re-imagined/revamped versions of his songs are way more up your alley!
This is my favorite band. I resonate so much with the lyrics especillay in the reimagined versions. You should definitely check out The drug in me is reimagined and Im not a vampire revamped. Also last resort by falling in reverse. Seems like something youd like more and as far as the crude expressions. It is the way he and millions of people talk now. Cussing is more common now than it used to be. Also i think adding the crude expressions in a song like this or the reimagined songs, it really conveys emotion to me. I think its great he adds them in and in the reimagined songs of his original rock songs he kept the crude exoressions in it and it really just adds to the songs and makes it so emotional. Just give it a chance and try not to get hung up on the cuss words. He really does write beautifully.
Another unexpected reaction! Bit sad, it's not music video reaction
You've definitely got to check out the drug in me is you and a drug in me is reimagined they are the same song 11 years apart just with a completely different spin I guarantee you you will love the reimagined person
Great reaction! "I'm not a vampire"(reimagined) "Last resort" "The drug in me is you"(reimagined). Incredible displays of Ronnie's singing talent, absolutely no disappointments. Their videos are unbelievable. Cheers.
Think you would enjoy his reimagined version of last resort…. Originally a papa roach song that he remade into something that just gives goosebumps listening to it ❤
Great reaction, Amy! As soon as this suggestion popped into my feed, I had to click. To tell the truth, this is my first time listening to the song without the accompanying video.
The drug in me (reimagined) and Im not a vampire (revamped) you will definitely love. And people go crazy for them reaction vids!
I'm SOOOO here to see you delve more into the more modern rock/metal scene. one group I'd throw into the mix that I think you might find enjoyable would be Sleep Token. Their latest album really brought them in to popularity and I think they offer more musical elements that you're familiar with, while still having that more modern sound. The Love You Want, The Summoning, Aqua Regia, would be some of my recommendations.
I enjoyed your reaction to this song, You should check out the LIVE video of this song, its amazing and truly shows his range in concert.
I love your reactions and another interesting one
Covering the classics?
Where are The Moody Blues? The band is credited with starting the progressive rock movement 18 gold and platinum records. Over 70 million album sold.
Thanks for giving it a chance. The first part is indeed pure hip hop.
Please check out The Last Resort Reimagined by Falling in Reverse (maybe listen to the original by Papa Roach first). Ib think you'll like it a lot more.
It's rock. Swear words are normal. And honestly - I don't mind. It's just words.
You can indeed get used to understand vocals like this. I don't understand opera lyrics, but have no problem with metal lyrics. It's only about what you are trained to understand.
Greetings from Germany
Sooooo glad she opened this can of worms, will be fun to watch her experience the Ronnie rabbit hole...
Check out I'm not a Vampire (Revamped), The Drug In Me Is Reimagined, and Last Resort (Reimagined) from Falling In Reverse. You might like those. They do all kinds of different genres. Some of them aren't everyone's cup of tea. I like all of their music regardless of genre.
You almost had the metal head bob going on. You just needs to know that you rock your head forward and backward, not side to side, in order to conform to the appropriate and expected standard behavior. Oh yeah, metal is supposed to be the anathema of appropriate and expected standard behavior. So good job Amy. You are a true rebel.😉
Sleep Token would be a nice band to dig into as well. Idk how to explain what they do. They are a rock band though.
Falling in Reverse is famous for mixing genres and blending multiple things together that no one would expect. Their music mostly lies in the metal wheelhouse, so its all heavier, but he shows his ability to perform pretty much anything you can think of with his portfolio.
As soon as I realized she’s doing this solely on the music and not watching the videos she had me, love videos don’t get me wrong but critiques that solely care about the audio are rare gems. Will keep watching
Ronnie just released country-metal song. Talking about variety
This is a song to watch, not listen to w/o video.
Their “reimagined” songs are for listening. 🤙🏼
Modern you say?
Sleep Token is the band to check ;)
You might enjoy their cover of Last Resort, it's more mellow than the original and is primarily on piano.
I think you’ll enjoy “The Drug In Me Is Reimagined” & “I’m Not A Vampire Revamped”. I actually would like to see you react to those, I’m very curious on what your thoughts would be on them
The general theme of Radke's songs boils down to "I am sorely put upon, and quite angry about that". Bit like John McClain's swearing in Die Hard, when he's not running hard as self destruction.
I'm not sure I'd have started with 'Watch the World Burn' as an introduction to FiL - while I'm not a huge fan, the Reimagined versions of The Drug Is Me and I'm Not A Vampire gave me something of an appreciation of the originals (emo/pop punk not being a genre I've often listened to for pleasure across a wide selection of bands - Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance being about it).
Probably good she didn't watch the video! She seems like she's from another era like 1950.
Definitely do a video on their songs the drug in me is reimagined, I’m not a vampire revamped. It’s in your wheelhouse
I would LOVE to hear you examine any Hella song or maybe Chon! No vocals, just instrumental "Math" rock :)
If you want to hear this band in a more classical sound, try The Drug in Me Is Reimagined
I’m not a vampire revamped
And their cover of last resort from Papa Roach enjoyed your reaction. You should really try these three I think it’s more your style.
Last resort. You’ll like it. It’s beautiful
I would make the argument that Ronnie cares quite a lot about relationships and that some of the raw emotional energy of his music reflects the pain and anger of being misunderstood and rejected. Also, the visual aspects of the music videos are an essential component to understanding the music. They are meant to be experienced together. Greatly appreciate your willingness to step outside your comfort zone in a non-judgemental way.
Many of them do have, as you say, crude expressions. These expressions are really just part of modern vernacular. I am not a big fan either. But as much as I would prefer no cursing (as there is probably a 'better' way of expressing the thought), I like electric guitar more. so I put up with it. I feel like an old man saying, "it's just how the kids talk." While a bit cliche, it is also accurate.
Also, this is quite the song to use to dip your toe into Falling in Reverse it is a very "in your face' song. They offer a wide range of musical offerings. hope you do more, the group and Ronnie really are amazing. Other comments are already leading you to various other songs of theirs I am sure. All the best.
Falling in reverse " drug in me is you- reimagined" or "I'm not a vampire revamped" then "last resort reimagined" you should definitely check.them out
Classical music was/is metal. Look at how Beethoven wrote music for instruments that didn’t exist at the time. Vivaldi was metal (La Folia). You should listen to Wolf Hoffmann’s album Headbangers Symphony.
You should listen to I’m Not a Vampire and Revamped (I’m pretty sure the guitar solo in the original is from a classical piece that I like, but can’t place). The Drug In Me Is You and reimagined, Last Resort by Papa Roach and Last Resort reimagined by FiR.
Great reaction
Those "crude expressions" are intensifiers. It's one thing to say "I hate you" versus "I _fucking_ hate you". As long as those crude expressions aren't just there to fill a void, I have no issue with it. Anywho... now that we've walked into this musical landscape, when does Amy react to "Bury The Light" from Devil May Cry 5? No fear; zero crude expressions to be found in that track.
Mozart and Beethoven were metal as fuck, they would love this.
Some say sleep token…. I say architects, start with royal beggars or gone with the wind.. or any, love that band
Oohhhhh I think a good rap intro to you would be
Hope by NF
Very cinematic musical feel
This is awesome. I hope you do more. Thanks for the reaction
Why hasn't anyone told her about the song by the band Jinjer, "Pisces" yet?? She needs to watch the music video of Tatiana in the studio singing that one. Lol
Falling in reverse has become more of a visual experience with music, the videos really make the song worth watching but I wouldn’t throw this in a playlist. And this may be the most jarring choice out of falling in reverse’s discography to choose
Falling in reverse last resort next!
i would like to humbly suggest Underoath - Thorn. Thank You for considering my suggestion.
Amy, with you now focusing on more modern bands here's some suggestions with songs to best introduce them:
- "Cirice" by Ghost, who are currently one of the top metal bands.
- "Everybody Sins" (album version) by Andrew WK, who plays all the instruments.
- "Dead Memories" by Slipknot, a 9 member band and Corey Taylor can sign anything.
- "So We Can Stay Alive" by Garbage
- "Every Day Is Exactly The Same" by Nine Inch Nails
- "Satanic Cyanide" by Rob Zombie
- "How To Be A Human" by Powerman 5000
- "Dani California" by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Watch the video where they portray all the eras of rock.
- "Eat Me" by Demi Lovato, who can sing anything.
- "Last Patrol" by Monster Magnet
something more your style by FIR
should check out The Drug in me is you and then the reimagined version (double feature to compare them) then i'm not a vampire and the revamped version (again double feature) lastly Last Resort reimagined originally by Papa Roach
I believe you would really enjoy 'Last Resort (Reimagined)' or 'The Drug in Me Is You (Reimagined).' By the way, Ronnie is perfectly fine with people reacting to his music, and there are no copyright issues.
I have a Gemini star sign and once had a friend who also liked playing the guitar. We both love playing Song For You by Chicago instrumentally. By the way, there is a song by Michael Jackson entitled Black Or White, this song also includes rap music.
Thank's.
Sleep Token, specifically a song called The Summoning, is a very good option for this contemporary rock reactions you are starting. Please react to it
Saw FIR in January one of the best concerts I’ve been too. Whoever compares them to someone like ABBA just needs to stop it 😂😂 I curse and use crude expressions because 98% of people do not understand eloquence and big words. Studies have actually shown a correlation between people who curse and having a larger vocabulary than those who don’t.
Haken, Riverside, Bent Knee.. I'd love to hear your reaction to them.. or Univers Zero.
Yeah, Amy! I agree on everything you've said. I struggle to understand modern music often and this is one of those popular songs that I rather skip. And yes, no need for so many bad words, but I'd say it is a common thing in some of heavier metal bands (at least those that I know) as well as in rap in general. So it doesn't surprise me.
Btw, I am really happy to see more of your reactions/analyses to modern rock/metal. However, I am not sure what is modern. To me it is music from late 90s until now. But in any case I am looking forward to it.
Good to see you Jovana. I have been meaning to chat with you lately, since it has been a while. I was actually going to reach out to you this last weekend, but I forgot. I wanted to see if you were able to make the Rammstein concert. No need to answer here, unless you want to. We can chat outside the comments if you prefer. I did tell Amy in my comment that she almost has the metal head bob down. She just needs to know that it goes forward and backward, not side to side. Just shows she is a true rebel.😉
@@LeeKennison Hey dear Lee!
Haha, Amy has it in her and she is just discovering it. 😋
Yes, I went to Rammstein concert and it's ok to talk here about it. I have very mixed feelings. On one hand it was amazing, it was surreal being there, I went through every single emotion, from joy and laughter, to saddness and tears. And it was simply beautiful. But on the other hand, I was too far from the stage and it was killing me. For me, along with the music, the members of the band are the most important when it comes to Rammstein and I just wanted to see them, but I didn't. They were so close but yet so far. And I know that this all might sound silly but it is how I feel. I love those guys as my family and not being able to see them was really hard for me. It was almost the same as watching theim live on the phone screen with high volume.
So... yeah, I would not change this experience for anything, but at the same time I am sad. Anyway, if nothing else, this made me love them even more (if it's even possible).
@@jovana_r I'm so glad you were able to make it. That is the main thing. Now you have a memory of being there. I know you knew ahead of time that you weren't going to be able to get close, particularly the standing area. Too bad the venue didn't have closer seating that would have worked for you. But then again, that would have probably cost a fortune. At least if concert prices where you're at are anything like the outrageous prices here in the US. Do you know if it was recorded on video? If so, maybe it will show up on YT so that you can see the up close view.
@@LeeKennison You're right. And I am much calmer now. Time has passed and I am more and more just happy that I even had a chance to go to the concert.
I don't know if they recorded it. They always record a lot of stuff, but I don't think there was any of the concerts fully recorded. I know that they recorded concert in Mexico in 2022 but it hasn't been released yet. However there are lots of fans' recordings. People are crazy about holding their phones instead of watching the show.
@@jovana_r I know what you mean about people and their phones. People no longer live in the real world. They are stuck in their virtual worlds through their phones, even when they are outside in the real world. Whenever I am out going for a walk or I'm in any public location, everyone is walking around staring at their phone. Nobody is engaged with the real world or the people around them. It is no wonder we live in a world filled with mental health issues, anger and depression.
🤘🙌👌
I’d like to take this time to recommend a Rap video from Ren titled: The Hunger. It might shed a little light on the genre that is rap. (Hi Ren was mostly rap with guitar and singing)
you should check out Scorpions winds of change and send me a angle.
You should react to falling in reverse popular monster, or ronald, or all my life, or zombiefied or his remake to last resort
PTCBMF Studios CEO is here.
I am glad to see Amy taking interest in more contemporary rock (although this is not the first time). I wish she would try out some other subgenres besides metal. I appreciate the musicianship in metal but I don't like to listen to it. My favorite genre is post punk, but there is so much diversity in rock music now. Rock is no longer the most popular music genre and I think that has allowed a lot of subgenres to flourish because they don't have to conform to what is playable on the radio.
Musically this song is a bit of a mixed bag with a shift from the rap styling at the beginning to the heavier rock at the later half, Ronnie and Falling in reverse have many genres under their belts, “Ronald” one of the more recent releases is very heavy and the last third of the song would be very difficult to understand without having the lyrics in front of you, “all my life” also a recent one is a lot easier to understand as it’s a country/rock styled song, and the phrasing and instrumentation is a bit different, a lot more mellow, but still reflecting on his less that perfect life, a lot of these songs are far from being love songs, they are more like a voice for anyone who has been through similar experiences or feels like they have been given a poor go at life. However, “the drug in me” and “I’m not a vampire” re-imagined and re-vamped are the closest you could probably get to love songs. I recommend watching or listening to the original song and then the re-work for each in the same reaction to get a sense of how a song can be interpreted one way depending on the tempo and instrument choice, or a completely different way when all of that is changed. And it also shows off their fantastic musical ability to show they aren’t a one trick pony and they can do it all.
Yes, I would probably call this 'rap-rock'. Not that I'm an expert in rap and related genres. It's well put together of its type with some interesting features. The more modern rock and classical feel it developed as it progressed reminded me a little bit of Muse, who are much more musically interesting, melodic and lyrically intelligent IMO which I think you might enjoy.
their live version is so much better than the studio
I liked all about your comment about this. There's always an opportunity to learn. Doesn't the title have meaning in particular works more in the style or purpose like Pink Floyd ?. I don't know.
you should check out "to the hellfire" by lorna shore
Check out"Drowning Pool,Fall apart
Welcome to the Ronnie Rabbit Hole™️
Just make sure if you do do any Revamped or Reimagined songs you do the originals first!
Enjoy the ride.
I really need her reaction to graal by ne obliviscaris
feels like you missing half the story without seeing the video that goes alongside their songs, they're very highly produced and help tell the story
At least she didn’t start with “Ronald”
I like to think Beethoven would have been all about Falling in Reverse and metal in general. A lot of classical influence is entwined into most metal.
Great reaction. Ronnie Radke watches the reaction to his music videos. Hopefully he will see yours.
modern metal bands that you should check out
DEVIN TOWNSEND
JINJER
GOJIRA
MASTODON
ELECTRIC CALLBOY
I don't know if this song is a good example and good introduction to modern metal/rock. I love it, but even for today's standars music that FIR is releasing is quite extreme. You shold try Goija,Animals as Leaders, maybe Leprous, Dream Theater even, or Devin Townsend etc. for a much more common feel of modern metal. Ronnie Radke in Falling in Reverse is just mixing opposite genres, it's cool, it's creative, it's good, it's crazy at least for me but it' not a good ambasador of metal in 21st century imo.
Next , Ronald
A good choice not to view the video as it would have been a major distraction. This is probably not the best song to be introduced to but it is an amalgamation of different genre's and is something that is not traditional, but a new way of making music.
I think you would appreciate "I'm Not a Vampire" Revamped. that would probably be more in your lane. You need to do both thou, the original and then the remake.
Radke does seem to have pushed hard into being multimedia for his work, in that he contextualises the song with the video in quite a conscious way, certainly with things like The Trilogy, or the Reimagined series.
Dont forget FIR dont copyright slap reactors, so you can share/watch their video's.
I admire your willingness to step outside your experience but I think this wasn’t a great introduction for you to Falling In Reverse. From one classical musician to another I’d suggest listening to one of their reimagined songs like “I’d Not A Vampire”& it’s “re-vamped” version or “The Drug In Me Is You”& it’s re-imagined version. Watch the World Burn is a pretty heavy song of theirs to begin with if you’ve never heard anything like it before. I think that’ll leave you with a false impression of the band. Ronnie Radke is a very talented pianist & vocalist & is very diverse. I hope you give Falling In Reverse another go, but perhaps with one of their less heavy pieces that you’d be able to follow lyrically.
And the message of this "music" is: Everything is a copy of of a copy of a copy. We need more illusions, because there is no reality.
When the Beatles are "Neo", this is "Mr. Smith".
Metal can get very melodic. I think someone as musically intelligent as Mozart would find it interesting as, in the end, it's all musical evolution.
This song is definitely a wide step out the Classic Rock environment! Falling in Reverse has much softer material 😅
at this pace it will take a while to get to skrillez (jk)
Next channel "virgin rap" 😁
Falling in reverse is considered a multi-genre band since they "revamped" (covered) their own rock songs from early 2010. Not sure if this song is the best to introduce this band to you given your background, other songs (I am not a vampire, Last resort incredible cover...) may better resonate with what you've already listened to an enjoyed in my humble opinion. Another band you might want to check in order to explore the "multi-genre" trend is "SLEEP TOKEN", definitely the most promising for me.
Can you react to the band Bring me the Horizon. They are very good.
I've been waiting for Amy to get some exposure to more modern heavy music. On one hand, I'm disappointed as Falling in Reverse is a band that I don't admire at all. On the other hand, the song did bring some qualities characteristic to modern heavy music - genre bending, metal core elements, modern post-production (for better or worse). Even the crudeness is somewhat common to many (not all, though) modern artists, but this is an artistic/expressive choice as well. I think it might have been a bit too much to swallow at once for Amy. But then again, she's just exploring and this is what she signed up for, and this is why we watch her :D
Don't give up, Amy. Keep exploring.
Oh he was around a church alright 😅
Welcome to the genre that is ronnie radke 😂
Wait until she listens to some Infant Annihilatot😂😂😂
