- We demonstrate an easy way of beating Monastery on Crushing difficulty.
Dseem27 is my go-to teammate when it comes to this map - we always beat it when playing together. The statue part starts at 18:10.
Best U3 video, I've seen. A good player, good gameplay, good commentary, and good quality. It contains all the qualities of a good video.
Awesome. Thanks for sharing the "secret sauce" with us! Just a couple things that I do differently. Letting the chokers and heavies (after helmet is off) come through the door and grab someone to boost medal count. Melee them from behind for an instant "Let 'Em Go" and after 3 stealth kills a "Covert Ops." Stealth kills also count toward a "Punchout" medal. Also, before hanging on the keys inside the monastery, leave just 1 enemy alive and everyone will get a "Hang In There" medal. Kudos!
Yeah, you're right. I finally understood the Treasure system, you kill the boss that has the treasure, you let the two other guys pick it up, then you pick it up, it's easy; and you must be concentrated in that guy, you cannot kill other henchmen if you already started shooting at that boss. It's easy :)
I'm a big Victor Sullivan fan too. Makes me wonder why they don't make a game where a badass old guy is the main character. Me and my brother got through all the stages but only on normal mode. You on the other hand did this level on crushing. Impressive!
Great vid, you guys are really good at co-op :) Don't know why i never thought of running out of the room in the beginning, it's seem way more easy lol. And thanks for the tip on where to find the PAK in the courtyard, and every other tips too ^^
The bead gets dropped by hammer guy after the statue part.
The dancing thingy on a buffalo gets dropped by clusterbomb guy on the beginning.

No problem - great game, and the first time I've seen the statue not lose a single square - which is why we all got the Curator medal afterwards :).

I made that video when beating the map for the 5th time or so. Now that I've done it close to 40 times, I do a couple things a bit differently. For example right before the last boss fight, I stay by the TBolt, so the game starts with me there. This way, even if my teammates die they can always respawn. It's also a great spot to take out initial wave of snipers and heavy RPG guys.

After playing through the map a number of times, I noticed it's not really needed. Especially with a decent team. You won't run out of ammo if you're using AoT. I often get through the statue with more than 100 bullets left (remember PAK guy drops another gun with 100 bullets in it). Also - if you run out of PAK ammo, you always have your Wes-44, with 12 bullets in it. That's enough to take down 2 heavy RPG guys, without AoT.

I used to be really good at this game, yet even I couldn't beat Crushing co-op. All about teamwork, and none of my friends had ps3 for me to team chat my way through crushing.
I miss this multiplayer :(

This is the hardest Co-op Adventure level to beat on Crushing. I must have tried at least 10 times.
@Carl-Renat Ventsel Yeah it can take out any boss if you throw it right [: so maybe we can switch the kickbacks when u get back home?

Is it okay to use Scoped In and Ammo Award instead of Team Safe and Regeneration? I ask because I go for the Dragon, Wes, and Tau, which are all compatible with Ammo Award and give 5-6 rounds every 5 kills with Ammo Award Gold.
Right now I'm getting pissed off that everytime I pick Crushing Mode for Monastery, someone picks hard or normal. Then finally when I find someone that choose's the same Crushing mode difficulty, Nathan goes into his buddha state & glitches in the church..........but we were down to 3 lives anyway so it doesn't matter. Right now this guy beat Crushing mode 55 times, you're the only one I can trust to beat this map, my friends have the star and they won't even help me beat it. I feel so lonely.

You never need team medic (the only map I use it on is Syria as a backup for the Helicopter part at the very end). Other than that Ao3 is always a good choice, because it helps all your teammates instead of just you. I also like Cluster Bomb for the Mega Bomb boss at the very end of London Underground. Other than that Ao3 should be everyone's kickback.
@RediRules But if you play with your team on custom to get the star do you get still earned the money and the medals you get from playing?

The star does not disappear when you legacy.
can u do a video showing how to keep the statue with no damge? on hard and crushing so i ll be ready to get the trophies
would a level 3 Overstock suffice instead of Team Safe? I'd be using AoT instead of my usual Cluster Bomb kickback.

I still need to beat this ... This is the only one I havent completed on Crushing
I was thinking, maybe we are trying to kill the wrong enemies. I mean, in Borneo I got the Ivory Lion, which was dropped by a NORMAL ARMORED GUY (no boss). The Yama on Buffalo is dropped by the first two bosses, I already got it from there; but no one has got the Skull Bead and still some people say you get it from the M-32 Hammer guy. Maybe that's wrong, maybe we can get it from a random RPG guy or maybe you have to kill the 3 last bosses... I think we all are trying to kill the wrong enemy :/
but which is the best Elena's G-MAL Flynns m9 or Drake's AK-47
What about sparing the hammers in the church or the Dragunov's for the armored RPGs? Have you tried that, does it work (better, at all, worse)? You can easily run out of ammunition with your PAK before having killed all three (?) armored RPGs, eventually with the other PAK the brute dropped being too far away to refill it.
Maybe you can take out the snipers and the armored RPG at the boss end with the T-Bolt that was apparently still left to the far left back of the library.
How do you get the smiling end treasure set to unlock doughnut drake?

Took my two friends and I 50-60 tries before we finally beat this one in Crushing LOL.
I think we had The damage thing, the protection one, and the medic one... (I could be wrong cuz I haven't played this game in a very long time)
I have the cluster as my kickback but have them all i realize army of 3 is a must..LETS DO THIS who gonna help a brother out?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rockets aren't hard if everyone has their own personal area to take care of. Grab the pak 80 and then u can take out any of them, you just need to know their spawn locations.

Well, It took me till last weeks to get all Co-op skins.
Mostly because Francis drake's ring, and Skelzor's mask were glitched.
Its all fixed though.

Ask for his help, he's a really experienced shooter, you'll need it to get past the annoying statue part.
Lol okay I've got the rest. We farm first boss, get that treasure and then second. After that we farm second boss in Syria and third. Which one do u need?

I joined him and one of his friend this afternoon, we beat it on first try. 8 lives left (2 mistakes of mine), statue had 5 out of 6 slots left.

yeah I know, I got the Yama on Bufalo by killing the first two bosses (I had to kill them both), and for the M-32 hammer I was about to kill him and some guy came with an sniper and killed him ¬¬... anyway, you are right it takes A LOT of luck :/

i know why people dont like monastery because its very hard for them and its the reason why they dont get the star and i like the the beginning the church and espesicialy the final part.

i allready have the star, now im trying to complete all maps on crushing with only 2 players. allready finished borneo and london, and omfg we were so many times so close at airport :( , i guesse syria gunna be tough but we can do it. monastery is to hard i guesse with two, but we'll try it!

But ok ill try to unlock it then i think ill unlock Drake's AK-47 too cuz i start with G-MAL clip size then get unlucky then try to get kill with G-MAL i cant get kill then switch to M9 cant get kill and then switch to AK and i get a kill but when im gonna start unlocking do you want to play with me? but if you cant then i still have buddy to play with so you dont have to play with me to get guns

@VGTheater after playing all maps i think monastery was the hardest to beat
overstock will help you get kickback quicker than bargain and regeneration will help me get health when you cant help me

Sure. Syria's actually pretty easy. Cluster bomb is the way to go with it though. And Borneo you need a really good team lol. At the end, I threw a cluster bomb when they were really packed together and they died so easily. Then you kill the easy guys.
