Common ground: Bridging Cultures through Spanish

Learn how VPTL’s grant helped to expand community engaged learning in the Spanish Language Program at Stanford. Ali Miano, Lecturer in Spanish and Coordinator of the Spanish Language Program, and her team questioned the stereotypes of service learning - what are we doing when we get involved with a local community? VPTL and the HAAS Center [ link haas.stanford.... } provided theoretical tools to analyze what is going on in the community, providing student enrichment and the opportunity to learn together.
