- Scream VI, the one where Jason goes to space! Wait, that's not it. Ghostface goes to New York City! And he drops sins all over the place.
Thursday: animated sins from the aughts.
Remember, no movie is without sin. Which movie's sins should we count next?

Quinn being their roommate deserves 100 sins! The way that Sam is so overprotective of her sister that she followed her to college and she couldn’t even go to a frat party by herself but they get a promiscuous roommate that has strangers coming in and out all the time?!?? Why would they even have a roommate???
Why weren’t the core 4 roommates???
@@newflower8974Ethan was assigned to be Chad's roommate. Meaning they lived in the dorms. And if Chad lived in a dorm, it's safe to say Mindy did as well.
@@newflower8974Right? With how protective Sam is, I'm surprised she didn't demand the four of them be roommates 🤔
*QUESTION: What do all of the Scream movies have in common with all of the Stab movies?*
*ANSWER: There's a lot of Stabbing & Screaming or Screaming & Stabbing in each.*
I was literally asking myself this. 🤣
I do get that it's pretty common in Scream films for characters to survive fatal attacks after for sure being dead, but this film kind of took that to ten because they all did lol. There do have to be some stakes you know.
Still, most of the people who gets stabbed in the first 4 movies ends up dying. Just Dewey and Gale always survive cause they are coprotagonists and still they get stabbed like once, so it's not even that absurd they managed to survive. Chad, just to say one, got stabbed in the previous and in this movie multiple times, realistically having damaged a lot of organs and probably some vital also, but fuck it plot armour.
@@JOEHHxFMJ If you get stabbed and survive, you develop scar tissue, like Dewey, that will protect you from subsequent stabbings. Also, the future killers always stab in the same spot as the last killer in an attempt at a homage to the previous killer, as they try to succeed where the previous failed.
My biggest issue with the film is everyone getting stabbed and walking around like they just came home from the beach. Like wtf
I feel off a mechanical bull and i can barely walk wtf
Same here the original 2 screams when they got stabbed or shot they acted HURT here it’s like a walk in the park 😂😂😂😂
@@thomashutson7205 its called adrenaline.
IKR? I get a papercut and I feel like lying down for a couple of hours, crying!
@@сесилияалександрова Weak ahh
My biggest issue with the movie was DETECTIVE BAILEY RUNNING AT SAM WITH A LOADED PISTOL like shoot her. And the whole ghost Billy loomis thing completely ruins the feel of scream being grounded
I about lost my mind when that happened with the gun, and then the clerk in that convenient store yelling "HEY!" right before firing the shotgun at Ghostface.
i think its not his ghost- sams just hallucinating because she feels like she has to be a killer because her father was
@@ghostfaceishot876that was explicitly stated in the 2022 one. idk why people are acting like they dont know that was said.
@@Wispectre It doesn't matter WHY there is a "ghost" Billy - it matters that he's there at all. REALLY stupid.
Also, I have so many questions about Quinn and her dumb fake death scene:
1. Her dad said they used prosthetics to fake her death, so why didn't the autopsy people say anything about how they have a fake death body in the morgue?
2. How did her dad switch out her body for the fake one around other cops????
Because reasons.
But really, I don't know why Quinn had to be thrown in as a killer. It didn't change anything in the finale other than make viewers ask "How?!"
Just having the detective and Ethan be the killer would've solved a lot of plot holes.
Yes, Exactly! You're being nice just listing 2 reasons! lol
The whole fake Quinn death thing was ridiculous.
Honestly when I got around to watching scream 6 I was like hmm it's ok, but then when the killers got revealed i was like "who tf are they" I didn't remember any of them. The killer reveal had no impact at all
@@ComedyBros5most of the movies have one or two killers. I’m just guessing that maybe they thought the idea of three killers would be super cool/badass… that’s just my assumption.
I won’t lie, I thought it was pretty sweet. Course I’m a hardcore Scream-obsessed fan, so near it everything about the movies is great to me lol.
"This movie about stabbing doesn't understand anything about stabbing" LMAOOOO
2:14 also, just want to point out: the TV's playing Jason Takes Manhattan, which is a pretty accurate way to describe scream 6: Ghostface takes manhattan (minus the boat)
Have to say, if it wasn't for the ridiculous, over-the-top attacks on characters that then ended up surviving, I would have really enjoyed this film. Either have the guts to kill them off or make the attack actually look like they had a chance of surviving it. You don't gut someone on-screen and then have them limping back in for a sappy reunion. You gut someone and they aren't limping anywhere. Might even survive after many, many ops but you'll not see them upright for good while. And then you have Chad . . .
Exactly!
I mean, the probability of surviving multiple stab wounds is a lot higher than being stabbed once in the back and immediately dying... Something that has been done at least 15 times in this franchise, but I digress.
I honestly think the end was supposed to be comical. There's no way they all just no sold their injuries. I'm really hoping Christopher Landon understands why suspending disbelief is important
@@ProphetMisfit09there's two issues with that theory. 1: they stabbed him everywhere from the heart to the stomach to the kidneys..
2: never in this movie has somebody been stabbed in the stomach and ran around like nothing happened
Even Sid at least held her stomach and moved slowly. 4 she kind of no sold the Injuries but 5/6 were ridiculous. Sid,Sam Gale all suffered deep ass stab wounds and or shot
Meanwhile Mindy is rolled out on a stretcher for her stab to the shoulder
@NationalSportsEntertainmentNSE
1. Billy and Stu stabbed one another multiple times in the stomach and still were able to walk, run, and fight. Roman was stabbed twice and was able to keep fighting.
2. Gail was shot in the stomach and was perfectly fine by the end of the movie.
3. Sidney was still able to fight and kill Jill with a stab wound.
4. There was no indication that Chad was stabbed in the heart. The filmmakers said he was stabbed 7 times. One in the side and 6 in the chest and abdomen area. That is survivable.
5. Jill and Sam were obviously running off of adrenaline, very plausible.
love how characters just walk off multiple stab wounds
Tis merely a scratch!
This your first Scream?
yeah, i still remember the time Dewey walked off multiple stab wounds as well.
@@deadlykilla39Huh? When did that happen?
@@thewinner7382 Scream I and II
I loved the setup at the beginning. Doing something very different. I would love to see a scream movie where it follows the killers and how they plan and go about their killings. And you can still have twists.
That's actually a very interesting premise.
Hey I want to add something to your idea. The Movie is shot and directed from the perspective of the Killer. Then the suspense throughout the movie is when and how are they gonna caught or are they gonna get caught? It can also, be done by having the first act of the movie be the killer stalking all of the intended kill targets and making plans but, not showing who each plan is for or which order the kills will come in to help drive suspense as well. Tons of fun ways to reveal the killer immediately and make it still an extremely fun movie. It's really cool getting to see the characters on screen figure out what you the viewer already know. Provided it's written well anyway.
I thought they were going to do this, then they immediately said "Just kidding! We would never dare do anything that interesting." :(
So knives out or peeping tom but its scream
That was the original direction after Scream 4 before Wes died. Scream 5 would follow Jill in college not knowing Sidney survived and lost her memory. Then the killings would start around Jill not knowing who's doing them.
The main issue I had with this movie is that it wanted to be subversive to the genre, even going so far to have a character state that in the movie, and then does nothing of the sort. Not to mention the main character plot armor, and the ridiculousness of the killer reveals.
I thought the Therapist door was open because they’re in a room in his home, not like an office building.
They were 😂
OMG the stabbing pissed me off! It seemed to not bother anyone like it was just a scratch or something lmao
they all have superpowers I guess.
The whole advertising for this movie was how different it was from the other Scream’s. But it ended up being the exact same with a relative of a former ghost face getting revenge. Only the intro was different and it was great!
How did you not take a sin off for the synchronized knife-cleaning swipe after both of the Ghostfaces stabbed Chad??
Because it was corny fan service
@@elizabethschubert7803you sound fun
@@elizabethschubert7803So you’re telling me every recurring detail in a Scream movie is “corny fan service”?
@@azazelsvideos8298 Where did I say that? There’s always going to be Easter eggs and callbacks to previous Screams because the killers were copycats but let’s face it, the more this series continues, the more it stretches credulity. That scene was particularly silly because how would both of them even know that’s what Billy did in the first film if Gale wasn’t the one that witnessed him doing it. The original Scream had grit, now it just feels like watching a Marvel movie.
Its crazy how every character was fatally stabbed at one time or another, and yet at the same time, not fatally stabbed. In fact, they appeared to be completely fine after the stabbings. No undue pain (at least, not for long), can walk and talk normally. Damn, wish it was like that in real life 😂
"Actually, we're a family"
"And I don't see a single Corona bottle"
I love these little references
I don't know why but the littering sin at the end made me laugh too hard
Same
I'm surprised that terrible therapist didn't get a sin for violating Sam's confidentiality.
Therapist are told to report authorities if they deem harm to themselves and others
@@Zonaaaaa101 Threats of violence are to be reported, yes, but Sam just wanted help with disturbing thoughts, and the therapist lied about her making threats to excuse getting spooked and straight up refusing to help her.
With the amount of bodily injury some of these characters just shrug off, I'm starting to believe that Scream is secretly part of the MCU.
Hadn't seen a Scream movie in a while when I watched Scream VI and was questioning whether ghostface having supernatural abilities was canon.
2 stories about how people with asthma are not hindered by the condition.
In high school gym we had substitute that made the class run a mile because they didnt want to deal with us. One student with asthma (who was on the track team) raced one of the cross country runners. He ran a mile faster then everyone else in the class, with asthma.
Last year i broke down on a hill in a car. The girl behind me in traffic jumped out of her car and helped me push the car out of the road to a safe place. Only after the both of us collapsed from exhaustion did he sister run up with a rescue inhaler.
Both of these people with asthma outperformed my athletic abilities and didnt even think twice about pushing their limits. Asthma is not the crippling hinderance movies make it out to be.
It depends honestly. As someone with asthma, if I am sick or have allergies my breathing is worse. If it’s cold out my asthma is worse. And similar to most medical conditions asthma is a spectrum. Not everyone will struggle with it the same.
I had someone try to attack me with a hammer and I couldn't fight back because my asthma kicked in and ended up almost getting choked out and then who knows what would've helped.
I was like the people you mentioned, but My mom gets crippled as soon as there’s even a chance of Fog
@@daks8888 Gosh dang. Glad you're okay and I can't imagine going through something like that, but how the hell do you not share all the context of that story with a reveal like that?
They should have an asthmatic in a movie just ONE time that has a slight weeze and it's just a "hey are you alright" "yeah I'm good" 😂 the end
You mean portray asthmatics as they really are?
Nah, it will never happen. Directors and writers love making us look weak.
4:11 definitely a sin to say it can’t happen to the same person twice…Gale, Sidney, Dewey would like a word!
i did enjoy that the second film with these characters mirrored Scream 2 where the killer's motive was just revenge and not tied to Stab. It was a fun nod.
One of my biggest issue is how a detective has access to all that evidence and can take it all.
And how the hell does the killer get into a secured condo
Watch some of Lock Picking Lawyer.
Secured condo? Not all apartment buildings require key fobs to walk inside. For all you know Gale's building could've just had a dude standing at a desk in the lobby.
@DavidKen878 possible with the lack of info.
But she's well off and has made plenty of enemies along with being part of the ghost face killers.
One would think she'd have thought to live somewhere that was secure.
@@argoth231Other than Sidney, what enemy has Gale ever made? 😂 Gale's only enemies have been those who have been Ghostface. And they're all dead. So why would one think that? Especially since Ghostface has never even called her, let alone gone after her.
@DavidKen878 .
Speculating with how she performs her job as a journalist/investigator
Probably gets alot of people angry with her.
*point is, I don't believe Ghostface got into her place as easy as it did.
As someone who was born and raised in Syracuse, NY not only was this shout out incredible but it’s 100% accurate. Thank you, Cinemasins. Syracuse is the sin.
Dude, have some orange and blue pride!! When he chose to only sin Syracuse and not the other middling, sad, upstate NY cities he mentioned along with it, I knew it was to needle people from central NY! It's the only upstate, central city worth visiting. And I hated growing up there so much, I would NEVER move back. But I'll be damned if he talk smack about only Syracuse!!
Love the 10 sins for the audacity of referencing Sidney but not paying the Titular Scream Queen her due. ❤
I love that cinemasins is an actual movie fanatic, he’ll sprinkle his knowledge on movies/actors in his videos
Also, a few other plot holes about this dumb film that bothered me:
1. How did Sam not meet Richie's family before Scream 6 when she was dating Richie for 6 months?
2. How was Dermot Mulroney able to work as a cop under a false identity?
3. How did Gale the reporter stumble upon the dumb shrine before Kirby aka the FBI agent did?
4. Why did Richie's family kill the therapist?
5. How did Gale not hear her boyfriend being murdered behind her and why doesn't she have a security system in that apartment of hers?
6. Why was that dumb shrine built in NYC? NYC has nothing to do with the Stab films
The irony of you calling this movie dumb while also asking six of the dumbest questions you could ask and calling them plot holes. 😂😂😂
How did Sam not meet Richie's family? Umm.. probably the same way he didn't meet hers. Not only is that NOT a plot hole, but not everyone introduces their family to the person they're dating.
Remember Richie tracked Sam down with the sole purpose of gaining her trust before he and Amber did their murders. He wouldn’t introduce Sam to his family when he fully planned on framing her as a murderer then killing her himself. The therapist was killed because they were once again trying to frame Sam as a sociopathic murderer like her father.
@@DavidKen878 are you on drugs
@@DavidKen878 did your ignorant self even watch scream 5 and remember that Sam was estranged from her family so that’s why Richie didn’t meet Sam’s sister until scream 5 so you’re telling me Richie lied to Sam about being estranged from his own family???? Were you dropped on the head as a baby?
@@DavidKen878 you call my questions dumb yet you answered one of them lol get a job
I loved this when i watched it at the cinema but i can't see myself going back to watch it again tbh
No Scream movie deserves more sins than this one…yessshhh what lengths they went through to lie to us….Annnnd it still be painfully obvious who ghost face was.
It was the most random thing to bring Kirby back and make it feel like a big reveal.
I think it made sense the detective pulled the sisters' cases bc the one girl's I.D. was found at one of the murder scenes. So why wouldn't he pull the case?
"Has this movie even seen the previous six movies?"
-DING
There are five previous movies.
16:40 I know movies don't understand anatomy, but that stab either sliced open her lung or possibly her subclavian artery. If it was the latter she bled out and was dead in minutes. This is like when people think it's harmless if you get shot in the arm or leg...
I gotta say, this was the most fun I've had with a Scream movie. Not saying the franchise is terrible, but this one was just awesome.
Happy Halloween from cinemasins
I’m definitely jealous of that opinion. For me it was my least favorite.
you gotta be gen z...
Awful
Ending was trash.
Sometimes you sin because you don’t understand it lol the reference to the franchise was breaking the fourth wall which Scream is actually known for, being a horror movie that references itself and other horror movie tropes, and breaks the fourth wall.
I don't understand why Detective Bailey decided to run at Sam WHEN HE HAS A LOADED GUN. Like he could've shoot her bruh
One of the siblings is lined up to have the most brutal ends in the next one.
This is the closest I'll come to seeing this movie.
Are they just repeating the patterns of the original 4 films?
#1 - killers were the heroines' boyfriend and friend. (The Sidney role was essentially filled by both girls in #5)
#2 - Killer was related to one of the previous films killer. (Billy/Mrs Loomis and Ritchie/his dad and siblings)
I'm guessing the next one will reveal Sam and Tara have a sibling they never knew about and the one after that it'll be their never mentioned before cousin.
Can you do What Lies Beneath (2000) at some point? With Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer.
Couldn't have said it better. Happy Halloween.
@@williamsummerson1204Thanks. Happy Halloween 🎃
Thx.
This feels more like a parody of scream 5 than a sequel
Couple things.. Chad getting stabbed a gazilion times in this movie as well as the previous one and still surviving. lol Also How Sam and Tara got stabbed and walked away like it was nothing. lol Plot armour is strong in the Scream franchise.
Despite its flaws, and they are definitely there, it was still my favorite of the six. Granted, the original was a more well made film, but I think Scream VI was the most entertaining. Sam as an increasingly unhinged anti hero, the city setting, the three killers, that opening kill, and Tara coming into her own as a supporting hero in the final fight. It kept the action and attacks pumping until the finale.
😂😂😂
yeah!
It amazes me how the most worst written, illogical full of plotholes and saturday morning cartoon villain performance can be peoples favourite
@@jameslarkin3859 once the mask came off, pretty much every scream villain hammed it up. i dont see how thats unique to the 6th movie.
6 better than 1? Kid, the original scream tripled caller id. The killers were literally right in your face the whole time and it actually applied to the story. These kids, I feel no sympathy for. To each their own.
Lol! Love you 🤣Biggest annoyance was the killers were easy to call. Scream 6 needed way more characters and deaths tbh
Scream movie beginning with a phone call ‘CLICHE’????? Bro missed the whole point of the scream movies.
I loved scream 6 much more than 5 tbh. It was a great movie, even though some things didnt make a lot of sense
RIP Matthew Perry.
samee
I love the sin additions for them referencing Sidney when Neve Campbell was not paid enough that’s ridiculous.
Scream never disappoints. Scream 2 was a bit weak, but the frnachise is goat
This franchise is never the same after wes craven dies
11:53 "thats a shame" 💀
For a 6th movie in a franchise, this was a fantastic film! 🙂 I really loved the chase and tense sequences in the film
Yes, all dumb plot holes aside, it was surprising how entertaining this one still was. I really like this whole anti-hero bit going on with Sam.
Wes Craven made these movies for Cinemasins.
It's all one big loving slap in the face to horror ❤️
Can you finally sin Scream 3 already?
Bailey watching BOTH of his children die, and not even shooting at Sam.
If he just dropped the ladder there’s a chance she could’ve held on and they pull her up. Ghost face shaking it like that ensures that she falls off cuz he can keep shaking until she does
No way she's holding on if the ladder falls three stories and hits the ground
There was zero build-up to Tara and Chad being together in the 5th one. It was heavily implied that Tara and Amber were a thing.
2:59 That line gave me hope damn it! Then it lied to me as the movie went on.
6:58 Scream movies why do not give us more of this!?
Can’t believe dawg survived that double team on the train , jus rewatched this last night perfect timing to c u posted this
Scream 6 was ridiculous unbelievable.
Sooo glad i found Th3Birdman
Really not gonna sin the fact that Jason kills someone in Manhattan while his TV is playing Jason Takes Manhattan?
The "stabbed someone multiple times" was a nursery rhyme my Dad talk me and then told me he knew a kid who did that for not letting him borrow the car. That seems like it could be part of these movies.
2:58 although i gotta say, that one liner title card lead in deserves at least a sin removal, hands down.
You should do commercial sins on UA-cam shorts
The only Ghost face face that matters is billy loomis the best and most iconic and the one from Scary Movie LMAO!!! WASSAAAAP!!!!!
At 4:15 a little picture comes up for a fraction of a second and if you watch it at .25x the speed and pause at just the right time you can see it, but I have no idea what it's a reference of. Anyone know?
It's Roy Sullivan. He was struck by lightning seven times.
I actually particularly liked the Billy Lumis gimmick. Worked surprisingly well in five, still worked for me in this one
I agree. It's a great way to keep Billy in the franchise, and it also shows the trauma of being in this type of situation by having her experience hallucinations related to the scenario.
@@captianlucky I mean just thinking about it though. Why would you target her? Daughter of a ghost face and granddaughter of a ghost face
That "littering" line got me in a way none of the rest of the video did.
Love ur videos cinemasins ⭐️⭐️
"It's totes yeet fire rizz goated with the sauce!" 😂😂😂 Absolute gold. This is literally what the old farts making teens/early 20s target audience films say while high fiving each other. 😂😂😂
I was expecting a sin for them copying Sidney for punching Gale in Scream 1 and 2 but oh well.
This movie was great
Hey man! I love your channel, love your videos…LOVE these extras at the end too. Made me laugh WAY to hard 🤣🤣 Thanks for sharing ❤️
Listen, I love the first scream movie, but how many movies are they going to make?? I really thought that this franchise was going to be done after the 2011 scream movie
Honestly this is the best scream sequel.
The moment I saw a picture of the actor who plays Ethan I rolled my eyes and said "Richie's brother" 🤭 It couldn't have been more obvious!! These last 2 movies have been kinda lame, I'm hoping the next will just get back to basics and give us an old school slasher!! 🗡️🗡️🗡️
Happy Halloween 🎃 erryboby
The extendo ladder 😂
This movie and Scream V existing are the biggest sins.
This movie could have been game changing and it fumbled every opportunity.
Did Bailey leave the keys in the ignition? I'm surprised you didn't sin that 😂
Or are we supposed to believe Tara stole them lmao
The director must've watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail a few too many times because holy shit the number of lacerations, deep cuts and stabs all the characters took just to brush it off like it was nothing makes it look like an entire movie based on "Tis but a scratch"
I like the movie, the killer was unique and ruthless and i like the good old fashioned revenge plot because the movies get famous plot is kinda of overrated, my biggest issue of this movie is how they treated Gale's character.
Better than the movie. Happy Halloween Cinemasins. 🎃🔪
The real mystery is how a teenage crime thriller is always catalogued as horror classic
How many screams before they just say “alright we’re done!”🙂
As many as they want until I am done liking them--and I'm not
All i see is flash now thank you for that 1+ sin for cinamasin
For me this may be the worst scream movie which is safe because it only needed two changes
1.) Keep the idea of us knowing who 1 of the killers is throughout the whole film
2.) Kill off major characters such as: one of the twins, Kirby and Gale
The Billy Loomis gimmick is horrible. The more interesting movie was the fake out we got at the beginning, seeing a Scream movie KNOWING who the killer is right off the bat would've been great. This is likely the weakest plot out of all 6.
I don't see a corona bottle
Fast and furious😅
That was good
Cinemasins
This movie was horrible gen z is screwed
Lol
Their culture is non existent.
Hoodwinked! I'm surprised to see you guys haven't covered Hoodwinked
"Littering" describes this movie well. It's disgusting litter of the movie franchise.
Great video
13:04 LMAO
THEY MADE 6 OF THESE???? WTAF I thought they stopped at 3!

Cinema sins should get a sin for the video being 19 min but the title says 18 min or less
Been a quiet year for slashers. This should hold me down for Halloween
I want the five minutes of my life back that it took to pause it at exactly the right time to see the image of the cop at 4:15. AND I DON'T KNOW WHO IT IS 😂
