I really like this controller. With previous control units, it was too easy to accidentally press the wrong button and power forward at full speed when you just wanted to tilt the chair. This resulted in rather a lot of damage to walls and furniture.
My controller will not lockout and I really need it to bc i have an autistic nephew who likes to try and run me into walls I've followed the instructions and still doesn't work. The only features I have is till and the seat elevator is it because I don't have every feature that it doesn't work?
I do not recommend this chair. They have embedded software into the joystick that makes the chair impossible to control safely, smoothly and pleasantly. The chair behaves like a wild horse. They screwed up with this software. The rear wheels are of poor quality, they slip even when dry. They have added a thin and very hard cushion. I have written to the Invacare company and they do not answer you, they ignore you.
I just got a new Aviva power chair with this Linx controller yesterday and I’m having the same slippery tire and wild horse issues. It’s not leaving me feeling too comfortable. Can’t go, can’t go, can’t go, and then whoosh! Hate it.
