Four Overtime EPIC GAME! Chicago Public League Heavyweights Simeon v Curie! City Semis = Block Party

Chicago high school basketball powerhouses met in the Chicago Public League Playoffs.
Chicago Curie narrowly defeated #1 Simeon on a buzzer beater a few weeks ago. Now they met in the City semifinals at UIC on the city's west side.
Curie defeated Whitney Young earlier in the week to earn the trip to the final four.
This game went FOUR OVERTIMES! In the end Simeon edged Curie 64-60 setting up a Simeon-Kenwood City final. Simeon was led by unsigned senior guard Jalen Griffith (21 points) and also Loyola signee Miles Rubin whose blocks were game changers!
Junior Carlos Harris was key for Curie who look to be a threat in the upcoming Illinois 4A state tournament. Kros Barrett and Jeremy Harrington also stood out for Curie Condors. Simeon head coach Robert Smith was honored after the game as this is his final season coaching at Simeon.
