Looks pretty good overall, well worth an afternoon of your time. If I were doing this, I'd probably use less dye so that hopefully that pattern was a little more visible. Good job

I might try that whenever I get around to dyeing the tarp

I think it turned out great for your first attempt! Perhaps a little darker wouldnt be bad but like you said in the leaves it would disappear lol, for something you'd use year round brown might be better because green can stick out in brown, but brown typically doesnt stick out in green. You can even mix colors for different effects and rit even makes dye remover too for even more options, if you heat the water to boiling then pull it off the fire you should be able to do that tent body. The mesh should be made of nylon which would resist the heat the same as the fabric, ive heard of people adding just a touch of vinegar to help absorption but ive never tried it so not recommending it just saying lol. Very cool! Cant wait to see the rest, thanks for showing!

When will you do an Altoid do-over? Where you demonstrate using more of the items?

I’d love to see what happens if you used green dye on the acu.

Do you think you’d be able to dye the main bug net section as well or would temp compromise it ?

I don't see any reason it wouldn't work. I just didn't have enough time to do both.

Im curios as to what caused that to happen? What company made the piece of gear you was trying to dye?
