Hola... que consideraciones hay que tomar en cuenta con respecto al voltaje ya que veo que la conectas diresctamente pero hay quienes dicen que no pude trabajar así... es decir para que no se queme hay que conectarla a 3.3 Volt y las sañales deven ser tambien de 3.3 volt.
Yo conecte una igual a como tu lo haces y funciono unos pocos segundos y luego la pantalla seque blanca (encendida) y co muestra nada mas...

El modelo que presento va conectado a 5V y el LED a 3V . Funciona sin problemas

Can it be used without sd card, and by datasheet this display has 3.3v logic i/o, but nano is 5v?

You don't have to use the SD in it, but most need to run on 3.3v.
You can use resistors to make voltage dividers on the spi wires

You need to use an SD card and insert it behind the display. I will make a tutorial if my SD card reader is still working. Last time I checked, I had a malfunction, but I don't remember if the problem was the card reader or the SD card.
