The comments on this video just make me sad for Red. You all are putting them in a music prison and refusing to let them out and be themselves and maybe keep the actual band alive since this is the last album they will have under their label! So lay off the criticism, it's killing the band and hurting the fans who actually like Red unlike you and your vision of what Red should be. Red is Red, and no one else.
What comment section are you even talking about? I've read through probably over 70 comments on here and I could only find 2 or 3 that were negative and rude--the rest were talking about how much they like the song and are hyped for the album. The reception for this song has so far been surprisingly good, considering how different it is. I think you underestimate RED just a bit--a tiny bit of critism won't kill the band, especially because this little bit of backlash is nothing like they experienced with RTP, and that didn't kill them. I'm pretty sure they can handle it ;D
Even if they lose their label, it's not necessarily over. There are several bands/artists I follow on Facebook that self produce via kickstarter. They raise the funds from fans and always raise way more than they need. Not having a label doesn't mean anything in the age of kickstarter, lol.
It might be, but they said in their live Q&A on Facebook that this was the last album in their contract, but that as long as they have such an amazing fan base, they will keep making music and albums, so hopefully this won't be their last album! :) In fact, getting into a new contract that doesn't involve Sony ( a company that usually doesn't produce Christian artists ) might give them a wider range of opportunity to be more outwardly Christian as far as lyrics. From what I know from other Christian bands of the past, your label greatly affects what you can actually say in your songs. The bands under outwardly Christian labels like Disciple, Nine Lashes, Demon Hunter etc. usually are able to have clearly Christian lyrics and that's what I'm hoping for for Red. For me, I just need some clear and God inspired message for me to really get into the song. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Redhead all the way and love all of their songs like they're a part of me, but lyrics that are pulled straight from the book that gives us life? That would push their music to legendary for me. Honestly that was one of the best parts of "Breathe Into Me", the song that sparked their fame, was that in the Bible it uses the same picture of God breathing His life into everything. So anyway, I hope this isn't their last album, and hopefully this could be the beginning of the Red we've all been waiting for. The Red that we secretly have wanted all this time but never knew what it was we were looking for. :)
I'm LOSING CONTROL because Red will LET IT BURN, so there's no reason to HIDE cause you'll just be WASTING TIME as Red's legacy continues, other bands will be BURIED BENEATH as Red comes OUT FROM UNDER.
I am beginning to *Step Inside, The Violence* of the wait for this album. I'm glad I'm *Still Alive* and not *Losing Control.* I'm glad Red isn't *Gone,* I'll be *Coming Apart* if they leave, but as of now I'm *Unstoppable.* I feel the *Fracture* as the wait is almost over, I'm *Chasing Your Echo* as the *A.I.* takes over as I put on a mask and fall into *Singularity.* But the wait for the album is about to end, and when it does is when *The Mask Slips Away.*
That feeling when you hear new song by your favourite group... it's awesome... Yeah, I love RED, RED 4ever! I love all songs and all CDs, how this should happend...
Before everybody throws a fit over this song: there are SEVENTEEN songs on the deluxe version of this album. You really don't want a SINGLE DIFFERENT sounding song? Come on, let the band do what they want. This is a phenomenal song, especially considering how different it is from what they usually do. It's still RED. It's unique. If you don't like it, listen to Losing Control and Still Alive.
The majority of the bonus tracks are remixes/acoustic versions. While I don't dislike this, people have a right to be a little concerned based off a track they don't like. People can not like music and even the band admits that that's okay. Being different does not equal automatically worthy of acceptance or automatically worthy of rejection. Saying "go listen to track 2 and 3 if you don't like 4" isn't a good argument. This is a pret-ty big tone shift compared to what we've heard of the first 3 tracks of the album.
Lol I hate comments like this. Like we can't criticize music? So far all the songs have a bit of a style shift with this one being the most notable. If it was just meant to be a filler song they wouldn't have uploaded it as a single. Not feeling this album so far.
nick supreme they need something more radio friendly from time to time to get more people interested in the Band, at the end of the day, music is still business, also, one of the bonus track of the album is an acoustic version of this song, I'm sure that people Will love that version because It won't have the electronic element, still, I enjoyed this version, Very starset-ish.
"When I'm gone, When I fade away; Is the air I breathe my only legacy? When I'm gone" I've really been feeling this lately. I keep feeling like my whole life is meaningless and nothing I do will make me be remembered. This song is really comforting because of the reasonableness and upbeat sounding music that accompanies it- I really needed this.
ElegantExcalibur Life is all about having cool experiences--that's what a friend of mine told me recently. I like that way of thinking; it's more meaningful.
"Man is a part of the whole, what we call the "universe", a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest - a kind of optical illusion of his consciousness." - Albert Einstein
Tired of seeing comments saying Red uses Starset's style. They have the same producer People. I would say Starset's built on Red's legacy. Dustin acknowledges that. So it's a two way benefit now.
John SaintLyrics except both bands have a unique identity. And producers aren't required to make the same kind of music between fans. Nothing wrong with wanting Red to go their own direction instead of borrowing heavily from another band. I dont mind this I'm just playing devils advocate to so many comments writing off long time fans for not liking this track.
been following this band since '06 and Starset since Transmissions. yeah it's not like Red to do electronic save for a couple special edition remixes, but it's still good. they're experimenting, they're branching out. at the end of the day Red is their projects. after sseing people blowing up after every new Linkin Park album because it's a little different than the last, it seems like fans believe it should be up to them, which isn't right. have your opinions, but don't disrespect the artists you're "fans" of just because they did a new thing. and from my understanding Dustin from Starset is pretty tight with the members of Red, it's possible this could be some collaboration :o or just them trying something new.
I literally hate it when people HAVE to compare songs to other songs. Why can’t you just accept and enjoy this as a new experience? Why are people so dependent on using past experiences as a crutch to enjoy something? I think this song is great and I hear it for what it is- new and fresh. I dig it! So glad that Red is still putting music out! 👍🏻
exactly. i have seen people bitching about this kind of style, but its red. listening since few weaks after their 1. album came out. Red has followed me trough my teeny years etc. There is nothing better than RED. There are just very few bands that have the same quality. breaking benjamin would be a example. would love to see them making a song :D
This is your typical fantastic Red song, has their sound all over it, it just has some experimentation, which turned out great. Excited for the rest of the album.
Liking how they're expanding on some of the sounds from each album. Still Alive is very OBAR, Losing Control is very much EOS, and this definitely has RTP vibes. Release the panic was definitely a different album, but I really enjoyed it. Then again, I'm very much into the synth of bands like Starset. Rob Graves also does Starset so I'm liking what I'm hearing.
Also the preview of "Step Inside the Violence" sounds like Until we have faces. Also, this song is raising some good emotional notes I expect rest of the album to expand upon. I've been struggling with such questions as such, so it's nice to see I'll be having an album to relate to.
This brings me immense nostalgia.. My father used to listen to it in the car days on end, but when we moved to this place, he just stopped listening to it, and he just changed.
This is the song that got me into this band and I like it. Great vocals, good balance between elements of pop and guitars, solid rhythm. Nothing I can really dislike.
I've been repeating this song over and over for half and our and all I'm going to say is THIS IS A MASTERPIECE Thank you, Red, I was your fan for almost two or three years and now I'm even more into your music. Amazing
Thank you RED for continuing to push your sound and being willing to take chances, I am LOVING it! It all blends so beautifully, once again you guys bring new music that is totally RED while being something completely fresh and inspired.
Been a fan of RED for a long time. Just saw RED for the first time last night at Club LA in Destin, Florida. I didn't know what to expect from these guys live. Happy to say they didn't disappoint! I can't even begin to explain how bad ass this song was live! It was unreal to experience the power of the Electronica/Techno when it kicks in....
I absolutely love this band!! A little bit of electronics isn’t gonna keep me from listening to them. I’m a huge fan and if they want to experiment, well, good for them. They know what the industry wants to hear, and honesty I am glad they did a few like this so maybe they’ll finally get some radio play. If you add electronics to a song it’s more likely to get put on air, so I hope this works for them and they can even get cross over play! Go RED!
Holy crap! I love this...actually, I kinda love each and every one of their songs. And those Starset elements nailed it, for me at least. The Red feel is still going strong here
I really love this song and the techno vibe is awesome in my opinion. Don't know why so many people don't like it. Keep it up RED! You guys are awesome!
Disappear, without a trace A treasure lost, I can't replace The only piece that still remains Is in these scars, is in this pain I want to save it all I want to take it all My heart is holding on I bleed, I bleed for love When I'm gone When I fade away Is the air I breathe my only legacy? When I'm gone In the dark, I am a flame A passing light, all in vain I feel the pull, I feel a change It's over now, it slips away I want to save it all I want to take it all My heart is holding on I bleed, I bleed for love When I'm gone When I fade away Is the air I breathe my only legacy? When I'm gone When I'm gone When I'm gone I want to save it all I want to take it all My heart is holding on I bleed, I bleed for love When I'm gone When I fade away Is the air I breathe my only legacy? When I'm gone When I'm gone When I'm gone
To all the people hating the song... check your senses because this song is amazing... yes I like screams and guitars but the electronic part was done in a very tasteful way that is not overwhelming. I bought it yesterday and damn I have replayed a million times.
Glad they were able to put some of the electronic/dance type sound they like so much into their album. Sure some people won't like this, but I think it's awesome.
I'll always love their heavier stuff the most, but despite this being a radical departure it's definitely growing on me. I feel like they've finally been able to fully realise what was attempted in RTP with 'Same Disease' and 'Die For You'. Also, the image used in the video is really cool - zooming in on the negative space left by the guys silhouettes.
I gotta say, I'm loving this change in RED! I actually really liked Release the Panic and this new album reminds me alot of it. Can't wait to hear more! :DD
This is great! I only saw them once, when they released RTP, Demon Hunter and Veridia were opening for them in San Antonio Texas. And I would love to see them again. They're songs just make me feel some kind of way I can't describe. And I listen to the song like 35 times in a row. Love Red, true talent.
Mauricio no I didn't even know they were here, but at that time I was in the hospital!!! Only got out in august this year... But yeah I'm sure it was really great, they are awesome.
Whenim gone he'll have called and embraced me with open arms. This gift is the best legacy I didn't ask for. All of this suffered so we may join him. I know what comes and it's beauty that's my god. He loves and created all
Ik I’m 4 years late to this but a song being heavy doesn’t always make a good song especially if you’re trying to deliver specific messages even though I love their RED’s heavier stuff I still respect their decision to go electronic
Thanks for exist, thanks for your music guys, i´m colombian guy and i want to tell us that RED is my favorite band, i wish that some day RED come to Colombia, but i know that is complicated, because the band isn´t so recognized, anyway i hope that maybe some day i can have the chance to see you in a concert, regards since Colombia.
_¡¡¡"Wow que Hermosa y Increíble Canción Red♥️🌹(♡ω♡ ) ~♪🔥🖤Me Encantó estuvo Genial y Épico sigue así. Saludos y Abrazos desde Querétaro México🇲🇽🦋(っ.❛ ᴗ ❛.)っ"!!!!_
Martin both bands are good, I do think Red is much better but I still listen to Starset regularly. If you are going to insult someone, might want to use proper grammar kiddo.
Some may forget that linkin park went through this too. Change style and was hated. But now since he's gone it's the greatest album ever lol this album and linkin parks is great. And they modeled after them too so I see what red did
Red will always and forever be on my "Favorite Band" lists. I love how you guys experiment with different styles, but it is still you. It is still Red. Thanks for being amazing, you guys!
I know for a fact that the album gonna be epic I can't wait for their album to be released cause I been listening to them since while I was a freshman in high school i still love their music they are pretty good at it I always thought they were awesome band I wish I could see them live for the first time
Monica LW lol I can't stand the word hate cause of the modern context of its use "haters gonna hate", "that's hate speech" .....lol how convenient of them 😂 It's called having a different opinion people
Ben I get where you're coming from. People are all "you're killing the band by critisizing them!" And I'm like "they're grown men, I'm pretty sure they can handle a little backlash". XD News flash: it's okay to not love this song and respectfully express that, lol.
Love the energy in this song, but the depth to the lyrics is missing from the words I can make out so far (waiting for a lyric video to be put out to make a call on that). The mixing or mastering of this song sounds much better then the first two released songs. For a band that I love and hold high expectations to, these words are just too simple from what I've heard so far. Here's to hoping the rest of the album has deeper lyrics. (EDIT: after listening to a live stream from them, I heard what the album is about and looking back at this song I think I'm definitely hoping for a more self reflective album: hoping that their theology shows more through and they deliver on that reflective mindset :). ) I don't mind electronics added as long as its done right. You need someone like deadmau5 or tycho to help you with electronic music who actually knows how to make electronic music that doesn't sound like recycled material or sylenth. I think the synth melody line is the main culprit here; if you're trying to be inspired to make similar music, at least copy off of someone like the two artist mentioned earlier.
Disappear, without a trace. A treasure lost, I can't replace. The only peace that still remains Is in these scars, is in this pain. I wanna save it all, I wanna take it all, My heart is holding on, I'll bleed, I bleed for love. When I'm gone when I fade away. Is the air I breathe my only legacy? When I'm gone. (Gone) In the dark, I am a flame A passing light, all in vain. I feel the pull, I feel a change It's over now, slipped away I wanna save it all, I wanna take it all My heart is holding on, I'll bleed, I bleed for love When I'm gone, when I fade away. Is the air I breathe my only legacy? When I'm gone. (Gone) When I'm gone (Gone) When I'm gone I wanna save it all, I wanna take it all My heart is holding on, I'll bleed I bleed for love When I'm gone, When I fade away. Is the air I breathe, my only legacy? When I'm gone. (Gone) When I'm gone. (Gone) When I'm gone.
Maybe I’ve just matured since RTP, but this time around, I don’t mind Red having an electronic-style song. It’s even under 4 minutes, and I’m not complaining.Great expansion, guys!
I love this song but I feel like the music the do after the chorus should have a more sad feel. The song has that sad feeling to it. I love the song just the same though. So it's okay.
Sounds a bit " pop", but it's a great song. Also i'm fine with the fact that they might need some pop/mainstream sounding song to get more exposure. This is how the industry works, like it or not.
I like it. Don't mind a band trying something different. Still sounds like Red imo. Has a twist of Starset in it, but that's def not a bad thing.
Bryce Perry couldn't agree with you more
Starset and linkinpark vibes
Definitely got Starset vibes! 😃
The comments on this video just make me sad for Red. I love it! I'm glad I'm still alive and Red isn't gone yet.
We ain't losing control anytime soon!
Nice. 👍

Harami snake hell yeah! I have all their albums except upcoming which I will Christmas.
I know, right ! XD
I see Red people
I couldn’t agree more

Lol I hate comments like this. Like we can't criticize music? So far all the songs have a bit of a style shift with this one being the most notable. If it was just meant to be a filler song they wouldn't have uploaded it as a single. Not feeling this album so far.

there is no flavor. where are the chips?
I LOVE both Red and Starset so even though this is a change, I'm not too bothered by it
no kidding

it has to do with psychology and a fixed mental state.
RED !!!!
why is the first why 12 likes
It doesent matter what kind of song they produce, the magic touch is always there.! Love your new songs, lots of love from germany! Keep rocking!
OmegaPerfekt 😁 yes they have that magic

Big fat LOL.
That's a very good analogy, still the song sounds awesome!, yeah, I'm wondering if the next song can have UWHF vibes, because that's my favorite album
The Red Layer had no idea he worked with Starset that was plains allot
As a fan of both RED and Starset, I really fucking love RED's new song. And I may have a weakness for techno sounding music
Love the way how RED is evolving. One of best rock bands on earth.
This brings me immense nostalgia.. My father used to listen to it in the car days on end, but when we moved to this place, he just stopped listening to it, and he just changed.

nice
they are now
Furthest thing from dead, it appears
RZ SnR humanity is dead
Legends never die anyway
they never were, were they? >.>
One of the best Red had ever made...
It sound a little diffrent but it s more of an evolution...i really like it...♥️
I never debate, judge, nor critique great music. I listen, share, and enjoy it - several times in a row.
This song is so good!! Can't wait for the album
love this song, and their others....
This makes me want to cry.... Like literally every other red song I've heard so far.
I know this makes me emotional too
Been a fan of RED for a long time. Just saw RED for the first time last night at Club LA in Destin, Florida. I didn't know what to expect from these guys live. Happy to say they didn't disappoint! That electronic bit hit after the chorus and I was like *MIND BLOWN* I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
I missed listening to his albums so much, I love it !!
The music video is wild. I really enjoy the song.
I love the power of the lyrics and the chords. My heart loves it lol
Red well never truly disappoint me. Great song I really enjoy it.
Holy crap! I love this...actually, I kinda love each and every one of their songs.

Didn't like this song at first but it definitely grows on you the more you listen to it.
Disappear, without a trace
A treasure lost, I can't replace
The only piece that still remains
Is in these scars, is in this pain
I want to save it all
I want to take it all
My heart is holding on
I bleed, I bleed for love
When I'm gone
When I fade away
Is the air I breathe my only legacy?
When I'm gone
In the dark, I am a flame
A passing light, all in vain
I feel the pull, I feel a change
It's over now, it slips away
I want to save it all
I want to take it all
My heart is holding on
I bleed, I bleed for love
When I'm gone
When I fade away
Is the air I breathe my only legacy?
When I'm gone
When I'm gone
When I'm gone
I want to save it all
I want to take it all
My heart is holding on
I bleed, I bleed for love
When I'm gone
When I fade away
Is the air I breathe my only legacy?
When I'm gone
When I'm gone
When I'm gone
To all the people hating the song... check your senses because this song is amazing... yes I like screams and guitars but the electronic part was done in a very tasteful way that is not overwhelming. I bought it yesterday and damn I have replayed a million times.
Grace G SAME! I can’t stop listening to this song on repeat!
Glad they were able to put some of the electronic/dance type sound they like so much into their album. Sure some people won't like this, but I think it's awesome.
This song just screams "nostalgia" to me
I love it
Fantastic I want the album so bad this is pitch perfect love it
Downloading the album. By far one of the best albums they have made.
My favorite band ♥ Amazing track again!!!
I love this band, been listening your music for so long.
I LOVE THIS 🔥🔥
I found "pieces" in my recommendations, after I checked it out I rushed to check out more of these guys
NOT DISAPPOINTED!
I love this!
Adam Barling what silhouettes?
Austin Random The video starts with a heavily edited photo of the band, where only there silhouettes are able to be made out.
RED. Where have you been all my life! I love their music!
Well, I don't know about you guys, but I love it!!
Ooh, listen to more. :D
Yes this song is amazing! I don't know why so many people hate it.
I gotta say, I'm loving this change in RED! I actually really liked Release the Panic and this new album reminds me alot of it. Can't wait to hear more! :DD
for some reason, this song reminds me, Linkin Park.
Yeah really getting a BURN IT DOWN vibe from this song from Linkin Park's "Living Things" Album.
Reminds me of both "Burn It Down" and "In My Remains" by Linkin Park.
cool dude, 👍
@@tiagom.9132 I miss them 🥺😔
@@dorxter1166 me too,
This is great!
I got Starset vibes.I like it
Alperen Kart funny since Dustin Bates helped write Still Alive
Thomas Isn't Lewd and Losing Control
Saw them Friday and it was phenomenal
Well... I like it!
Whenim gone he'll have called and embraced me with open arms. This gift is the best legacy I didn't ask for. All of this suffered so we may join him. I know what comes and it's beauty that's my god. He loves and created all
I was reading through the comments and ppl didnt like this one? It's one of my faves off the album tbh
This is absolutely amazing and beautiful! I am so in love with this song and am super excited for the full album! Well done RED, I expected no less!
I love this song I just wish it was more heavy. They should do a heavy version of this as a bonus track on the new album.
Ik I’m 4 years late to this but a song being heavy doesn’t always make a good song especially if you’re trying to deliver specific messages even though I love their RED’s heavier stuff I still respect their decision to go electronic
RED is getting better and better omfg.
This remind me of STARSET MONSTER
this is perfectly amazing , this band keeps making me fall in love with every single tone and word from them ♥
Take me over + If i break
Rido Munthe that might just be the perfect comparison haha
I think this is my favorite track from the new album. I'm hooked!
Because I'm open minded I'll just say this is pretty good!
Necessary edit; this is great.
This is so good!! Favorite song in the album!
In b4 one of the bonus tracks on the album is a non-electronic-pop version of this song.
HQBacon doubtful
What makes you say that? They said it'd be acoustics and remixes and this song's a ballad that's asking for an acoustic version.
This song made me a fan
Ok Starset I see you there.
Arcdemon44 there ass
Martin Jimenez you must have terrible taste.
David Connors and grammar
go listen to there album vessels then report back to me
Martin both bands are good, I do think Red is much better but I still listen to Starset regularly. If you are going to insult someone, might want to use proper grammar kiddo.
Bands can only sound the same for only so long, some people like to change their sounds you know. Great song.
Some may forget that linkin park went through this too. Change style and was hated. But now since he's gone it's the greatest album ever lol this album and linkin parks is great. And they modeled after them too so I see what red did
Jonathan Marcum ain’t that the truth. I guess it takes someone to die for them to be recognized again 😞
Red will always and forever be on my "Favorite Band" lists. I love how you guys experiment with different styles, but it is still you. It is still Red. Thanks for being amazing, you guys!
Take me over/If i break
I really thought If I Break as well.
I'm in love with RED all over again! New and Exciting! Excellent song!
this sounds a ton like starset and i am 100% okay with that
I know for a fact that the album gonna be epic I can't wait for their album to be released cause I been listening to them since while I was a freshman in high school i still love their music they are pretty good at it I always thought they were awesome band I wish I could see them live for the first time
I don´t get why many people doesn´t like this song. It feels like Linkin Park, and the lyrics are so powerful. It´s a very good song, so much beauty
This song GONE is my favorite end of the world music when it comes to seeing movies like that. Feel the soothing power of RED!
I see more people here complaining about hate comments than any actual hate comments 😂
Hi do you love this song? :)
No, not really. 😂 I like it for what it is, though!
May finally be a ballad ;/
Monica LW lol I can't stand the word hate cause of the modern context of its use "haters gonna hate", "that's hate speech" .....lol how convenient of them 😂
It's called having a different opinion people
Ben I get where you're coming from. People are all "you're killing the band by critisizing them!" And I'm like "they're grown men, I'm pretty sure they can handle a little backlash". XD News flash: it's okay to not love this song and respectfully express that, lol.
Starset and Red = greatnesses I love the music
Red and starset are fuckin amazing together
I like your YT name :)
Thanks bro ;)
Awesome Song, love the change in sounds throughout each of the songs you released. Another amazing album as usual.
RED + STARSET = GONE
RED + STARSET = LOSING CONTROL
RED + STARSET = AMAZING ALBUM!!!!!!!!
Gavin Plante yeeeesss :)
that's so gay
The song is good, but RED is RED, not Starset!
Yoo this song is so good! ❤️🔥 I heard it once before and I can't get it out of my head.
(EDIT: after listening to a live stream from them, I heard what the album is about and looking back at this song I think I'm definitely hoping for a more self reflective album: hoping that their theology shows more through and they deliver on that reflective mindset :). )
I don't mind electronics added as long as its done right.
The only peace that still remains
Is in these scars, is in this pain.
I wanna save it all, I wanna take it all,
My heart is holding on, I'll bleed, I bleed for love.
When I'm gone when I fade away.
Is the air I breathe my only legacy?
When I'm gone. (Gone)
In the dark, I am a flame
A passing light, all in vain.
I feel the pull, I feel a change
It's over now, slipped away
I wanna save it all, I wanna take it all
My heart is holding on, I'll bleed, I bleed for love
When I'm gone, when I fade away.
Is the air I breathe my only legacy?
When I'm gone. (Gone)
When I'm gone (Gone)
When I'm gone
I wanna save it all, I wanna take it all
My heart is holding on, I'll bleed I bleed for love
When I'm gone, When I fade away.
Is the air I breathe, my only legacy?
When I'm gone. (Gone)
When I'm gone. (Gone)
When I'm gone.
This song is amazing and the experimental sound works well with red.
The acoustic version of this song will be epic. Red have to read my comment
THAT CHORUS!!!!! HOLY OH MY GOSH WOW RED IS TAKING NEW DIRECTIONS AND ITS AMAZING
Sounds a bit " pop", but it's a great song. Also i'm fine with the fact that they might need some pop/mainstream sounding song to get more exposure. This is how the industry works, like it or not.
My eyes have produced this wet substance, something only my 12 year old self experienced in middle school with their songs. I love this so much 😭
It is just me, or does anyone hear a bit of Last to Fall from Vessels?
Austin Parker lol it's Monster from Vessels Starset album
Amazing! Can't wait for the whole album! :)
