Is the bike an “Amsterdam” model where the rider sits upright instead of leaning forward..?
I suppose he's catching steelhead trout.
The trademark of BTH is his undying and contagious optimism - always happy even if he gets only an old rusty bike, and if he gets nothing at all, he´s happy that the beach and waters are clean. That is a true life talent.
Gorgeous harbor!! The opera house and bridge just take my breath away!! Only you and Nicky could travel half way around the world to magnet fish and get a bike!!! I am absolutely amazed. Love all the info about the areas you are visiting, it's like I'm walking there with you. Look forward to the next adventure!!

(thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn

Picked clean over the years. Me & my bother spent just about every weekend diving Sydney Harbour for bottles in the 90's. Found thousands of $$ in old bottles. Best finds was after big storms.

Spectacular views! A video now and then that shows the reality that not every day is filled with finds is a good thing. Too many try out magnet fishing only to give up when they don't haul in the big stuff right away. Loved this video!

Yes it’s a stunning building but a sad story coz the designer Jan Ultzen never got to see it finished. He was kicked off the project and went back to Denmark never to return 😢

Brings back memories of when my wife & I where in Sydney in 2019 have walked where you have been fishing. Long time has passed since you were at the colab in Birmingham. At last you are back in your home land. You still pulling out the bikes. Great video as always. 🧲🚲 I have truly missed seeing a crusty old bike emerging from the depths and the surprise of the Adventure was Sydney Harbour...calling out for Dennis was a personal favourite (I send the Dutch gang my best wishes).....I am very impressed at how clean the waters are of metal (albeit some magnetic detritus)...I wanted you to find some old coins at least, so the Gold Dance celebrations await you.....

The number one rule for magnet fishing is …anything that sticks to your magnets you can not throw back in the water…some of those rocks probably meteorites and worth a lot of money….

Yeh, got to agree with other viewers, your vids are as close to being on location without actually being there.
Is a sad thing to say but seems like the dirtier the city the more there is to find, you should come to Dublin, 3 decent size rivers and 2 canals, but you might need a bigger magnet😂

Fun fact........Where you dropped you magnet is about one of the deepest places in the inner harbour, it is where some elements of the 1st fleet [The 1st convoy of convict ships in 1788] unloaded their stores because they could get so close to shore.

I purchased a 1000 lb. Pulling capstan winch that is battery powered. I also got a much larger batt. that fits in it.
I'm 78 yrs. of age and can't pull much. That winch makes it easy.

Cruise ships come there, so It must be deep. In Amsterdam no cruiseships go In the canals, so 3 meter deep is enough.🤙

I imagine the recent developments would have meant the harbour was coffered up and an archeological/heritage authority would have dispatched some people to gather up everything they could find. Then when development completed, site would have been cleaned and the coffers removed.
