If you are looking to get a borderlands campaign started quickly I have a bottom up campaign starter that I build using the concepts in this video. You can find it at DriveThru RPG. Hogwater:Village of Lies is a village on the borderlands. The lord is a drunk. The reeve is a greedy jerk. There are monsters and bandits afflicting the village and things are getting worse. The book is a ready made home base, local area with a few lairs and small adventures, non-player characters, unique monsters, magic items and resources to make adding or creating adventures simple and easy. www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/481792/hogwater-village-of-secrets?affiliate_id=4354512
It's hard to restrain myself from wanting to dig deep. It's a fun hobby of its own. It's mainly a matter of deciding what is important in the moment. Am I worldbuilding for fun or am I trying to get a campaign started? Both are entertaining but if my goal is to get a game going then the worldbuilding isn't necessarily the best way to get that done.

Considering I'm just setting up a hexcrawl now, this is imminently relevant. Really enjoying diving through your videos!
Awesome video with clear and practical advice. And the bit about "if they survive..." 🤣Comedy gold!
Thanks! Glad to see you making videos again
City-state of the Invincible Overlord
Great insight into your process. Very similar to what I do, although at times I do need to contain myself and not dive too deep right away.
