great demonstration, Thanks! Where I live, You can't just undo the bleeders for a brake job unless you also want to sell calipers . The rust gets pretty bad 😀
drum brakes can be trickey!! more so when you never did them!! hint, always leave one side not ripped apart for reference, take a picture with your phone up close also!! if you have questions ask me!! ive done 100s of them!!
Excellent video Jeff. I don't open the bleeders myself when pushing in the calipers. This lets me know if I have a collapsed hose. It's important to replace the protective caps on the bleeders. I've never had a stuck bleeder when the caps were in place. When replacing calipers I put a little anti-seize on the bleeder threads as a preventative measure.
Good information lieser, ive had collapsed hoses, you cant tell by just looking at them, there are some new cars they tell you open bleeder, first, because youll screw up, master cylinder anti lock brakes!! THANks lieser for your knowledge!
@@jefftovani5535so is opening up the bleeder necessary to change out front pads for HRV? I’m about to attempt this and a little nervous 😅. I don’t own a C clamp so hopefully Walmart or autozone will have that
You be ok to not open the bleeder,I own this car and you'll be fine!! There are some cars I guess they don't recommend it,but this one fine to just push the piston back with a c- clamp!! If you haven't subscribed think about subscribing it's free, and you'll get lots of good information!! Thanks my friend
Thanks for uploading, I’ve done brakes on my own car and now my partners HRV needs to be done, shop wanted $500+ found the parts new online for $100 definitely gonna save her some money
You dont have to open the bleeder!!! and if you did air wont get in because the line is full a brake fluid rite up to the end of the bleeder!!!! now if you took the brake caliper hose off or a line rusted out then air would enter the system!!
No!!!! only if the brake line is dissconected, like if you replaced the brake caliper,or master cylinder!!! pretty simple job!! take your time!!! hope this helps!! stay tuned if you havent subscribed think about it!! i do lots of tips and tool reveiws!! take care!!

High brandon,i hoped this video helps you!! if your a subscriber already thank you,if not i hope you do,it helps the channel!!
If you take the caliper bracket off for rotors torque should be 80 ft lb
Torque for the piston assembly should be 37 ft lb
Thanks my friend for joining in and sharing with the channel!!
do you have to loose bleeder screw? if you loose bleeder screw air get in the line then you have get to bleed the air out in the line.
