When developing Orchidée Impériale Black, Guerlain Research was inspired by the seemingly limitless adaptability of the black orchid - in particular its ability to produce male and female flowers.
With this in mind, researchers at the Orchidarium - Guerlain's unique platform dedicated to studying this unique plant - began to see similarities between the orchid's natural defenses and those of the skin.
