    Dude, you welded the wire to the tip causing the jam. For me, that usually happens when I’m in some wacky position and can’t see well and I jam the tip in it. Nice welder.

    in a pinch you can save the contacter by grinding or filing on the tip of it , usually the wire breaks out after just grinding it a little as the metal wire doesnt actually stick to copper , might need to look through it and see if the feedhole has any burrs left in it and if nessisairy clean the orfice a little so the wire feeds through it cleanly

    I have the same welder and it’s been sitting for six or seven years. The wire is bad rusted I ran it through the feed hose and it broke. How do I get that out of the hose? Broke on both ends

      Open up the panel and cut the wire at the rollers. Take your welding pliers and pull the wire from the nozzle all the way out of the hose.

    Way too many coils will cause jamming. Straighten up the welder cable.

    Sure, .030 and larger no problem. But a tiny kink in .023 will jam at the contact tip

    You should have the machine powered down/unplugged when you do that

    The way you did that will just leed to another bird nest. You didnt set the tension on the drive Wheels. And take a 2x2 chunk of scotch bright and clamp it to the wire. The feed will pull it right up to the deive assembly. The wire will slide through with no problem. The wire has all kinds of dust all over it. Fror the shop it got put on the spool. And from the environment in your shop. All that gets pulled right up the liner. Wher it stays and it over time will increasingly starts to biend up the wire untill you have to chang the liner. Just to repeat it all over again. You will get twice the life out of the liner if you send it up the wip clean. Even as much as 5 times the life. Depending on the environment of bothe shops. But if you set your drive right a jam won't happen. The wheels will spin on the wire if it jams. That way nesting effect of the wore. Pull enough through so you can hold it with your trigger hand. And slowly titen the drive nut till it grabs and feeds. But to finalize it. Pinch wire
    with 2 fingers. The wey i know how hard to pinch is when you squeeze and your nain bed on both fingers turn white then they get that pink line or boader if you squeeze a bit more. Thats the point you are looking for.or there about. But you should be able to stop the wire at the nozal..

    Ever have one that the feeder won’t work? Also welder pops on and off

    • @Caliber8Tools
      @Caliber8Tools  Рік тому

      Yes, those are other mechanical issues. The popping can be caused by wire speed too low. May have to speed it up.

    That’s the problem with wire feed welding they love to break. Lol. I run a stick welder in my garage and I ain’t ever had a problem with it just clean the build up out of the stinger every so often and your good to go.

      Exactly why I’m trying to get one. My mig is acting up. The wire starts off slow then speeds up to its actual WFS and sometimes the trigger won’t even initiate the motor. I’m messing with the contact tips now

    You don't have to waste the wire to empty the liner. Just free the wire from obtructions and scroll the wire spool backwards and the wire ends up back where It came from.

      @danielzunigagutierrez6300 the wire is kinked and bent. Not worth running through the machine and causing further issues.

    Background noise was terrible. Really hard to understand what was being said.
    Amateurish, and some info was not accurate. There was no explanation for what caused the problem. There are a number of things that can cause the wire to be stuck and not feed. None of this root cause was discussed.
