I'm really hoping for a three color Demon Tribal commander. Rakdos is fun and I like the chaos he brings to the table but Rakdos is just not good dealing with Enchantments. Thank you for checking out the video!
@@HauntedOnee I would really like to get some basics for making a commander deck, I started playing in Mirrodin, and had to stop due to a few situations in my life. But I guess I have a few cards that might work in that format. Keep it up!
@@SilGioGonzMatri Well for starters find a Commander that you want to build around with. I usually don't go for the most popular on EDHREC but 2 of my commander's made their way to the top. I also start with 36 lands. If your Commander is going for Landfall or Lands matter strategy I would adjust accordingly to 40 lands and maybe 38 if you got the expensive fetches. You need ramp too and no matter what colors you got I'd always shoot for 8-10 ramp. Which can be anything between mana rocks and ramp tutors such as Cultivate and Kodama's Reach. The rest just fit into what your commander wants to do. I use EDHREC and the app MTGfamiliar to help me find good cards that could fit with your commander. If you're able too, test it out on Spelltable to see what you can cut. I usually just go head first and buy the cards I need along the way. Budget is always good when starting off on a new Commander. Get to know your commander a lot and play it out! Hope this helps! Good luck to you!
Oh man I just bought like 20 copies of backlash, only 3 cards in MTG history does this and two are in rakdos. Love it! Gonna try and attack me with that maret liege token, nah I don't think so.
I have Rakdos the show stopper as my current commander and spent like 200+ on his deck but it just doesnt do that well against my friends spell slinger deck. Im looking at some of the cards I could have got instead from your deck and I think that would make my deck a lot better. Thank you for this video.
@@HauntedOnee you know whats so funny. I just ordered all three of those like yesterday or the day before cause a friend told me about red counter spells. Time for a taste of his own medicine.
I haven't made any adjustments in particular because I've moved on from this deck. However, Orcus, Prince of Death and Balor stick out to me the most. If it's in your budget I'd look into upgrading the land base.
So glad you caught that because my bestfriend and I have laughed about it a few times and hoped one day someone will notice, so we could edit and change it. Rakdos is pretty Rad though 😊
Thanks! There's a few more I want to put on here but that's it. After the personal decks I'll be moving on to different magic content. I've gotten a lot of suggestions as to what content people want to see, so if you got any ideas let me know! Thank you for your support!
I don't think sleeper agent works the way you think it does..."your" upkeep would actually be the upkeep of whoever controls it, so it would really be your OOPONENT'S upkeep. In other words, it really does nothing for your deck.
After it enters the battlefield under your control, I give control of it to an opponent. After that it damages my opponent because of the "you" on the card which means it's controller.
@@HauntedOnee ...But you don't "control" the card anymore. You still "own" it, but as it is on your opponent's field, it's under your opponent's control. Your reasoning is like saying you play Gilded Drake, but your opponent still controls the creature you stole.
You're right, I still own it and yes I don't have control of it because I gave it to an opponent. However, "you" on the card means it's controller. So whoever is controlling it they will be taking 2 damage on their upkeep. Not it's owner.
@@HauntedOnee Understood, but my main point is that it would not contribute to Rakdos' reduction because the damage would not happen on your turn. That's why its not particularly helpful for the deck, other than just picking on one other player.
Honestly, with a few changes the deck becomes rather budget friendly. Granted you'll be getting rid of some value but ain't nobody got $350 to blow on a deck all at once and some of the cards simply aren't worth what they go for.
You're right. $350 is far from budget, but this isn't a budget video. It's my personal deck with a value of $350. The point of this was to show off my deck and maybe help others build their own deck.
@@HauntedOnee I know it's not meant to be budget, I was just stating it could easily become one. I'm always glad to see indulgent tormentor make a deck list, he was my first real boss monster in magic, great video though.
Loving all the demons I saw on this deck, always wanted to make a crazy demon deck.

I'm glad my deck could help in some form. Highly recommend getting Tibalt's Trickery, Red Elemental Blast and Pyroblast for that spellslinger friend.

Any adjustments you have made in the past year with the new sets or just in general?
I'm starting to put this together 😁

Had this saved to watch when I was ready to build this and just realized you put Radkos lol. Great vid though

@@HauntedOnee Nice! haha
good stuff! I have been wanting to play a demon tribal really bad I just didn't know who to use but now I understand why people use rakdos boi.
You gotta lot of cool decks. My mate has a Rakdos showstopper deck.

Same. It wrecks absolute HAVOCK.
Do you think Bloodstained Mire is necessary to have in a Rakdos, Lord of Riots deck? Could it be substituted for another land fetch card?
Bloodstained Mire is NOT necessary for a Rakdos deck, but if it is in the budget; I highly suggest getting a better land package for him.
Good video bro keep up the good work
Thank You!
I plan on showing the last few of my decks and move on to other ideas I have. Stay tuned!!!
Nice, great job, thx for this deck, little bit to expensive but rlly cool
