In this clip, John Alite speaks about serving his full 10-year sentence following John Gotti Jr. and other members of the Gambino family testified about violent acts he committed. Alite later added that the only evidence against him was the testimonies from Gotti Jr. and others, who Alite says betrayed him after he protected them for years. He went on to address taking the stand against Gotti Jr., which he says he doesn't consider snitching because Gotti was already "ratting." I’m always weary of calling anyone a snitch but I’ve did a fair bit of fact checking on this guy and it’s beyond me how even recently,Netflix are using him in a major crime/mob documentary.I’m no admirer of Gotti Sr or Jr but there is too much evidence and he’s so slippery here that I don’t see how anyone can conclude that he’s not a genuine rat.
Dude, he worked as a Government witness that even the jury didn't believe because he tried to sound like he was way more up into the "family" than he actually was just to save his own skin. He was never made and was just a low level associate for only two years, not nearly long enough to achieve the status he claimed to achieve. The book is also full of lies that are debunked with actual court papers and transcripts showing how he lied on the stand and the jury not buying anything he said.
If you google johnalitefacts (all one word) the website will show up and its full of actual court papers, transcripts, even his own brother who wasn't linked to any crimes, testified against his credibility. Plus there is a certified list of almost 100 people he named that went into evidence so it was able to be dug up with the FOIA request. Also, its HIGHLY ILLEGAL to forge papers to make it look like it came from the FBI, court systems etc.
If what this site claimed wasn't true, it would be easy for Alite to sue for defamation, something the site owner(s) have pointed out numerous times along with the interviews Alite said they could do with him, only to bounce when they began asking questions he couldn't answer and debunk the ones he did.
Its just a good idea to try and get all sides of the story, not just one side of it and come to a conclusion based on one side. Even IF you do go to the site and research and still come out thinking Alite didn't lie and the site is false, at least you researched fully the best that you can and that alone is just good practice and nothing wrong with having the same opinion on the case when you first went in.
Never tell on anybody, under any circumstances, wether they tell on you or your mom, or anybody. That’s the reason the whole thing fell apart...tellin. If we start accepting “reasons” to tell...then everybody’s got one. That’s why it’s a fixed rule system.

There was never no honour or rules. Only reason snitching wasn't as common back in the day is because sentencing was lighter. Once they introduced rico, everything changed. It's understandable for a young man to think that its cool to solve problems with violence. When your this guys age, violence is only used when there is a threat to your safety.
