Take note that when plunge cutting the first hole, the blade is not square to the drawn line. This is not good and is the main issue I have with these types of "saw sleds". Mainly, in this example, there is only one point of contact from the hinge to the angle grinder. This means that even if it is adjusted square / parallel to a cut line, it still has a great potential to become off axis especially over time or as the saw blade binds up some. Other videos of similar sled builds shows two points of contact (one on each side in each handle hole) to hold the grinder, but even then the grinder could still flex and pivot on the vertical axis. Ideally, there needs to be three points of contact on the pivoting armature and grinder to keep it properly aligned and exactly parallel to the cut line. Only this (3 points of stability) will assure you make a cut that is only as wide as the blade itself and will not prematurely wear, or worse, cause the blade to bind and potentially shatter. The problem however, is that angle grinders only have two bolt holes for handles and not three.

Well i say youtube is not serving me very well . UA-cam doesnt wanted to market my videos . Well there is no reason putting videos in the youtube channel . It felted like there is a problem in the youtube system . I tried to play with the channel it turns out it was a fail . Well market the video it is the youtube problem not mine it is strange and youtube is doing nothing . I dont know if youtube authorities are listening the peoples problems or not . There are people they have putted video in the youtube for 4 years and they have only getted 10 to 15 views how nice . It is a very good idea to delete the videos and the channel . People are doing efforts for nothing .

My friend you installed the blade the wrong way ! That's way the first cut was rough ! always install the blade with the writing on the inside of grinder - a must !!! also with the timber you loose a lot of cutting depth ; NOT a good way of making a guide ... think again !!!

Why is everyone behind this hack ?which is not worth above your safety. It's actually easier to buy an actual circular saw.
No-one is saying that this is easier than buying a circular saw, but if you have an angle grinder, this modification is definitely cheaper and takes up less space if storage is an issue.
Think I'd rather keep my fingers..!!👍🏴
