Chinese phone brands get a lot of progress in photographing even outperfrom Apple or Samsung but still not enough in video recording. Some specific ones may be sold all around the world, which means that you can still use them back in CANADA
It's lovely to see you cook in your vlog Lauran. The typical "Ma Po Tou Fu" we have in Chinese restaurants is usually cooked with tender toufu, which is packed in a thin square box sealed with a plastic cover and marked with Chinese characters "内酯豆腐" or "绢豆腐", and the texture is way different. The tou fu you use in the video is better cooked via frying, stiring or in a stew dish.
Regarding drinking water, you can buy a water purifier and filter it directly with tap water from the faucet, which is more hygienic. For example, 小米米家台式净饮机
I think the top of the line xiaomi’s phone has the camera for pictures. As for videos, iPhone wins. The new huawei one is supposed to be pretty good too.
Hello Lauren! I love your video! ❤ In my opinion, if the phone you're going to buy is from a Chinese brand like Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, etc., you can purchase it in China because the mainland version basically have no differences compared to the versions available in other countries. However, if it's a foreign brand like Samsung or Apple, you should purchase it in your own country since the network system may be different.
@@LaLaLaLauran But if you wanna try huawei, it's okay to install google framework in about 20min. There 're tutorial videos of how to install it on youtube.
@@LaLaLaLauran Other than Huawei, most Chinese phones have Google just need one setting to enable it, I bought Xiaomi 13 last month and am back in Canada now working with no issues.
Merry Christmas! 提前祝圣诞节快乐

Are there any IHOPs in China?
Sam's club in China = Sam's club + Costco + Trader Joe's in US, probably even better. Definitely worth paying the membership fee.

Wish you were showing the prices of the items. That would have made the video more insightful and interesting as opposed to just seeing random stuff.

When purchasing an Android phone in mainland China, it is important to note that installing Google Play can be quite troublesome.
So true
While you're in China, you should just have fun with a new phone. When you go back to Canada, you can then get the phone that you really want.
Sam’s Club is Walmart’s answer to Costco. Walmart owned.
I buy pure coconut water from Sam’s club.
