OMG.. as of today April 7 2022 The IRS agent told me that we can’t apply through IRS website and only thing we can do is down load form SS4 and fax it in and may take up to 30 days. We found it hard to believe but I had tried several times to applied on line and my friend tried it too and we can’t. My young friend follow this video and he got it in 20 mins! Thank you so much for your video! You have no idea how much I need this EIN and can’t wait 30 days! Than you! Thank You!!

I noticed that you place 1 for members, but stated that if you have a 50/50 partner, choose who will be the primary on the EIN app. My husband and I are members of our LLC (me holding a slight majority of shares 51/49). Would I still put 1 for the members or 2. I noticed when I put in 2, it states that the LLC is a Partnership (Illinois). Also, we don't plan on hiring employees until maybe after a year or two. Would we need to say yes for W-2 for ourselves as members, or yes if we plan on hiring employees after 2 years? I'm so confused as to how I should answer the questions. So when you’re inputting the address of where the LLC resides for EIN application, you use the same address Inc File provided correct? This video is has some incorrect info. 'LLC' should def be included in the business name if that's what appears in the articles of organization as your bushiness name, as one example.

I tried to apply for my EIN on my own and it was a complete nightmare. I filled out the information and it gave me a 101 error code and said they couldn't provide an EIN for me and that I needed to call them. I called and was placed on hold for 45 mins. Someone answered finally and it sounded like they were fumbling around with the phone and I even heard a dog barking in the background (not sure if these ppl work from home?) All that to say they ended up just hanging up! SO FRUSTRATING. I am at the point now where I am just going to register for my LLC with INCfile and just pay the fee to have them set up the EIN.
I have a question I’m worrying about. I have an eBay seller account, this past year made roughly 9,000 reselling vintage jerseys. My credit isn’t great. My fathers is. He’s involved in helping me with certain stuff and was wondering if he could make the LLC/EIN for himself using my eBay account that is linked to my social? Idk if that makes sense but i want to follow the correct steps, since i know it’ll be easier for banking relationships if we use my dads credit. thank you in advance
Credit doesn’t affect business ownership. Eins. Or LLCs. It only affects lending. So you’re good to go. Go out on your own. Fix your shit. Build it back up. You got this

Virtual address is ideal as long as it’s not a PO Box. Your address can work. Totally ok to do that. It’s also the cheapest

Get a DBA. Then get an ein for the DBA. All under one LLC.
