It depends a lot on the area you are in. I stoppe dplaying for some 7 years already, but On my time there were routes where you would ALWAYS find this type of trap.
Great video. The double bubble technique is certainly widely known amongst some players, but not everyone. It's great that you took the time to share the exact steps and rationale behind it. Bravo on the CCP fight, too.
This is the kind of chill content I like. Calm voice, down tempo background music that's actually in the background, dank frags. Wish more AAR videos were like this instead of dubstep/loud rock with just subtitles.
Of course! So bubbles will only cause you to drop out of warp if they are placed within 500km of your destination, at a spot that intersects your warp path. I place my first bubble at 498km in line with the warp from the opposite gate. This bubble has a radius of 5km, so the target should land around 503km away from the gate. I place the second bubble at around 503km away from the gate, as close to where I think the target should land in the first bubble. Because this second bubble is over 500km away from the target's destination, it doesn't stop the target. This results in the target getting stopped by the first bubble, at a spot that is in the middle of the second bubble. The benefit of this is that it stops faster ships from just warping back the way they came
So what's an effective strategy to get out of this trap if you don't bother with avoiding gate to gate jumps? Burn out before being locked seems impossible ? Something else? Great vid. Ign: Pollekey
Be in something nullified with a sub 2 second align time should do it. You could burn out, but you'd need to be in something faster than your average mwd frig
You mean when a cloaked ship gets dragged into a bubble? Not really, cross your fingers and hope there isn't anything to decloak you when you land. Best bet is not to get caught in the first place

@@EVEILOnline we will see but 4 years ago it was banned and for good reason we'l see what CCP say about that and for the record its considered as an exploit of game mechanics just like sun bumping thats why we don't do that (that and because its a pussy tactics)

Honestly, this happens so rarely that i rather loose a ship from time to time than doubling travel times by bouncing around

IS still legit tactic as today there was something about warp tunneling considered as exploit ?`
Yeah abyssal tunnelling is unrelated to this
