- A look at my new custom ebike build. The bike has a top speed of over 40mph, has a 72 volt battery, 2,000 watt hub motor, on a full suspension mountain bike (eMTB)

Funny. "Un-constitutional" looking. I know you meant un-conventional, but you gave me a good laugh. Thanks.
Nice work on this bike!
I would've loved to have seen the build video and shopping list for this bike!
I love your bike you are totally right 72 volt is coming out. And you are also right about people don't pay attention to your lights that's why you need super bright lights in the front and rear. Enjoyed your video 👍🏻 I bought my bike 1,000 watts 32 mph $1200 bucks fender and racks included fat tires with coloring rims it's called the roamer from SENADA electric bikes..
I'm also waiting for 72 volt I was going to buy me and Ariel of 52 volt but I got such a deal on my romer folding bike I couldn't pass it up
Nice seat
Awesome Ride Just a rearview cam and perfect lol Rad 6 here 🚴🚴♀️🚴♂️✌️
Can you please link all the things you used to make this
wow thats a good deal
Awesome build!! Love the power! Please wear gloves when you ride. Your hands will thank you if you fall.
This looks like the Amazon special I’d like to build. Should I just save for a mid drive? I have a Giant hard tail 29”.
I love your videos. I’m thinking of building my own e-bike. I’m a bit heavier so I think I’ll get a fat tire mongoose with a 72 volt 40ah 3000 watt motor. I’m trying to build something I can carry lots of groceries on the back rack and maybe get a cargo trailer to tow. My city is a 28mph zone so I’m not gonna be speeding but there are some big hills I don’t wanna have to peddle up. I know the bike will be about 100 pounds because of the big battery but the 20ah version is only 200 less than double the capacity so I’m thinking why not. Until I make my build I have to walk and bus a lot and my car was stolen so I’m just trying to find a better alternative. I’m hoping to stay under 2500 but I want all the bells and whistles so I’m gonna get an alarm headlight taillight new seat AirTags to track it in case it is stolen tire sealant and more. I might get new more comfortable handlebars if the ones in it aren’t good but thanks for your vids they give lots of perspective
I have the exact same setup but with a hydroform. It’s amazing isn’t it?
Yeah your situation with the rear rack is exactly why I just went with a hardtail, plus it's less maintenance
Not sure if this is mentioned but you can get a pedal set for a surron
Hey great vid. I think I am looking at the same kit. Does it make a humming/cogging noise when you accelerate? And is it annoying? Thanks
This is cool! Did you get the 2kw motor from Alababa or from a part out bike?
I have a Razor Mx650 w/ 48v 2000w and it can hit about 35mph.... That's when I realized I really should get a helmet and maybe a crash jacket as well. LoL
Same, after you feel the power you take it seriously
@@NPLVentures - The power/acceleration was addictive to me but testing the top speed and having people pull out in front of me made me realize I should have crash gear and a helmet... LoL
Everyone that's tried it is scared of it at first then after a couple of moments it's all smiles, I love electric bikes and I wish I'd see more people riding electric bikes or scooters in my town. There's literally one guy I've seen riding an electric bike and he was old and riding a folding fat tire bike w/ the weird scooter looking bars.
@@NPLVentures HOW CAN I DM U BRO
@@xpndblhero5170 get some bright and reflective gear
Please link to where you purchased the blinkers. I've been looking for a tail light with turn signals, but have yet to find any.
Hey man question. I’m planning on getting a 72v 20ah triangle battery how big are they. Also are they regular box battery’s bigger or smaller than triangle batteries?
Coolest shit I've seen in a while
Please make a parts purchase list
I have a custom build 48 volt bike that I take on the highway every time I need to go to the store for something. Next time I need to replace the battery I'm getting a 72 volt.
What is the range? Can you lift the bike and put like on bike reek on a car?. Is it 1000w 48v hub motor?
for the power, you aught to upgrade to hydraulics.
and floating disc brakes (Rotors) as well.
The thule rack is good but not as good as solution as you may think. I know because my build is similar to yours and even though i bought a thule rack, the cheap aluminium rack off amazon sufficed once i bolted it (Yes, bolted) it to the seatpost (And put arms either side for more rigidity).
Also invest in protective gear, full faced helmet + armored jeans or jacket. (Personally my gear is "stealth" armored so you wouldn't be able to tell)
I have a 48v ebike (Full suspension) and can max at around 28mph, coming off at speed can be life threatening. You on the other hand are living far more at the edge with 72v and 40+mph.
i was going a slow 15kmh down a rock hill when i hit a rock funny and got launched.
My full face helmet saved my jaw from eating a rock. My good quality jeans didnt tear and saved me from getting dirt and gravel in the wound, but the lack of a kneepad took a giant chunk out of my knee and left a massive scar.
im gonna have to buy some stealth gear as well as i tend to not wear my safety gear since its so hot and cumbersome.
^ 100% this for anyone w/ an ebike that does 25-40mph. Amazon has hydraulic pistol mechanically driven calipers for like $50-70. Game changer for anyone who doesn't like their testicles going 5 to 6 in. inside your body when you need to full brake at 30mph.
can you push more than 2KW through that motor ? I want a hardtail or full suspension mountain bike that can do about 3KW power while not weighing anymore than my old 1500w hub, i've seen videos of people achieving this with statoraid and hubsinks then they do a shunt mod to their generic cheap controller.
Did you ever think about doing the shunt mod
You should get a bbshd with asi bac 855 on 72 on 4.5kw mid drive pure power 60mph,i have custom 52v 35ah samsung 35e 6.5kg 1820wh only throtlle 50miles range 150mm rock shox sektor front fork, trp 223mm 2.3mm thick disc 203mm rear ,magura mt5 ,dt swiss 30mm rims
noice
What's the total cost? I'm on the fence waiting for Walmart to offer something better like you did. They have scooters with crazy watts it's just a matter of time before e-bikes do the same.
How did you mount the battery what are the parts used for it?
you could have gotten that ariel rider as they too can be upgraded to 72v just like anything else
whered ya get the bars .....i bet its on the amazon
My bike is 48v converted it to all wheel i hit 40mph on straights about 43mph downhill.
Rando I know but I can't get over how much you sound like Tucker Gott (paramoter dude for those not familiar). Personality too: sorta machanical-DIY with a side of ethical swashbuckler. And no, I'm not high. 😂
2:39 u said it man xD
Hi just wondering if I was to upgrade to a 72v I'm running a 48v with 1000w motor would it be OK for my motor
Yes, i did that on my 48v 1000w motor . Its only get hot we i push hard on low speed. I got max 46mph wen fully charge and reng is 50+ miles.
I have seen a 72v 1000w go 100kph or 63mph, why is this 2000w feels slow 🤔
what is your battery brand ? and where you bought it
alibaba, 20ah 72 volt triangle battery
How many Amh battaty?
I bought from alibaba a 72v 1500w motor and a bought a 72v battery 25 amp so we have lot of juice there i will use an old steel e bike use to have a little 250w motor but it will look like if it was brand new the bike is in bery good shope has its own battery box is very good no suspensión but is for road and little off road parts i will make a video when finished
try to imagine when I was young there were no shocks on bikes you learn to ride without shocks & handle bumps and holes
wow where did you get controller?
Sucks when channels don't help..
@@sleepingbearffg5008 Go cry in the corner ❄
Luna cycle
Change your tyres and you will hit 50 lol road tyres less drag 🤜🤛
A few things with the bike : you are using a janky torque arm with a jubilee plumbing pipe clip to hold down all that torque which is so risky and 2) you are showing a bike that hasn’t been tested properly go ride that thing for 1000 miles then come back and see how it performs .
parts list?
If he made a list of bike parts, life would be better
I have a 2000w motor on a 52volt battery and I get about 35mph, on a 45amp controller, how can I get more speed does anybody know 🤔

Well, its not that most drivers dont give a shit, its more that they cant. I mean im an escooter guy and have almost been hit while crossing a sidewalk/ crosswalk carefully, but with bikes I think many underestimate how fast you can go because it looks like a normal but pimped out bike from a distance
The weight of that battery is mounted too high. It would be better to get a frame with enough room to put the battery within the triangle.
cheaper to buy a bike with a rack 2nd hand you can get bikes for 10-20 bucks
I can sell you a used rear rack. I came up with my own idea! Works better than the one from Amazon. Let me know. Ray
please tilt your camera up...
The only tip I would give is stop with the exaggerated hand movements it’s distracting as hell.
Your bike wouldn't have been out dated 😂 lol all you would have to do is add a 72v and maybe upgrade your controller .... hopefully no one takes your advice cause that bike is a heap 😂
Are you still breeding spider mites 😂?
