Caveat: I haven't actually held both models, but my understanding is that the 2021 model incorporates many if not all of the improvements I've mentioned regarding the 2022 model. As is often the case with Apple, improvements between years are incremental at best. In a nutshell: No. Not enough has changed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So! I think the short answer to your question is no. Apple gets weird with naming, but if you have the 3rd Generation that they ever released, then it doesn't support HDR10 and dolby vision. Unless of course your TV was made by wizards, and can compensate for that fact. Again, because I want to be sure we're talking about the same model I've linked to the relevant wikipedia page. There's a graph with dates which you can use to check which model you have. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_TV
Damn! I kinda figured they must! Thanks for the heads up! Do you know when they introduced this feature? I think the broader issue that I've found here is that it's dependent on which streaming service your using offering it? I'll see if I can follow up on this. Thanks for watching!
Hello! It may interest you to know that UA-cam has a fantastic playback speed modification feature. To access it: simply hover over video controls, choose settings and then playback speed. Best, BRB (he/they)

The algorithm gods see your tribute and you are blessed haha Thanks friend!
Question: would you upgrade 2021 to 2022 Apple TV… and why? Thank you

I never had problems setting up my devices with my iphone.
Hey! Thanks for chiming in! Sharing your experience helps others to get a bigger picture!
will the 3rd gen give better image quality if your tv supports hrd10+ and dolby vision compared to 1st gen?

@@benjaminbutcher Thanks for the reply. I am talking about 1st gen 4k models.
Good video! I would recommend better lighting, but great audio!
Haha, I have since making this video invested in some better lighting! I appreciate the thought! Thx for watching!
Heads up! Apple TV does offer PIP

@@benjaminbutcher if I’m not mistaken it was the 4th generation that got PIP first. Around 2017-2018
