Thank you Nigel I have been waiting for years to film all the dams in full and I just couldn't believe my luck on this day it was fantastic to see them in full flow after the long wait as sometimes when I have visited there there are only maybe one or none in full flow but as there had been a lot of rain earlier in the year I was lucky to have such a fantastic day. Thanks John, bear in mind John it took us five trips to catch the dams flowing, if you want pictures of the dams flowing wait for a period of heavy rain then pick a nice day after that, better still check the caban coch live webcam to see if the bottom dam is flowing before you leave. Hi Plod On, it took us 5 trips during the wet seasons to catch the water overflow, as much rain as we get in Wales the dams seem to be at low levels more than ever, however its still a nice place to visit, take care and all the very best from Epic Walks Wales.
Hi Michy, best to go to Caban Coch live Web Cam at elan-valley.co.uk/webcam/ to see if water is flowing down the dams it would save making a waste trip, if not flowing you will have to wait until heavy rain fall over a few days. I should imagine they are flowing at the moment with all the rain we have had, take care from Epic Walks Wales.

Hi Bryn, many thanks for your kind words, we have moved home twice recently and with COVID lockdowns as well have not been able to do as many walks as we would have liked, we have moved from Swansea South Wales and now living in Carmarthen West Wales, however around April or May 2023 we hope to be back on our adventures in full swing as soon as we have built up our fitness again and ready to head up North Wales and climb the high peaks of the Snowdonia range and also incude the coastal paths of West Wales, a very special thanks to you Bryn from Epic Walks Wales as your kind comments inspire us even more to bring the most scenic places of Wales to the TV screens for those who may like walking the countryside or just view the scenery in the comfort of their homes, take care Bryn and all the very best from Epic Walks Wales.
Only when you get heavy downfalls of rain over a week or so, the reservoir water level would spill over the landscape, farms and roads so the overspill you see on the dams is a safety valve to spill over into the river that is safely controlled to drain away.
That was a great tour Mandy through the valleys and reservoirs. You captured a mood and i found it relaxing. Thank you.
