Vinted has a very long way to go before it gets anywhere near ebay. I had a ps2 sent to me in a plastic bag with no protection smashed to pieces and I had to cover the return postage. I've had a box with a bin bag as a lid with 60 ps2 games and a console with no protection either. I've seen a UA-camr receive a t shirt in a crumpet bag! Serious buyers will not tolerate that ebay is still miles ahead.
It is to do with the returns because as you know there is no way to process a return on Vinted once an order is marked as completed. If you are a Pro user then the onus has to be on you to be proactive with your orders and do the customer service part yourself. If the buyer marks the item as ok then the money releases, so a simple message to your buyers when you can see they’ve collected an order is a good idea. “Thanks for collecting your order, once you’ve checked it please press the button to confirm everything is ok so that I can leave your feedback, thanks “
Yeah that’s definitely not how interest rates work, by law registered business sellers have to allow returns, with a minimum of 14 days, that’s why they do it
Another one for you.. I've always thought the scam listing on vinted are also an inside job. Imagine how much is held in their coffers when these scam posts are fallen for by unsuspecting punters 😮
I’m a vinted pro seller in France and they don’t keep hold of hour money as soon as the buyer says the item is good I get my money you are getting ripped off.
I would assume they invest do overnight investing, switching the money from one company to another. I would also assume that its how they make their money because of overnight investments. I starts to make me wonder what happens if the overnight investing crashes although its done by computer so the funds are shifted around before anything goes pearshaped
UK distance selling regs, simple as that. If you notice on eBay as a business seller, by law you have to offer a minimum 14 day returns policy. Just that in this case, Vinted hold the money for 14 days instead of releasing it. The 14 days needs to be factored in to your cash flow projections. It’s 14 days from when the customer receives the item not 14 days from dispatch. Love the vids btw, not hating on you just pointing out UK distance selling regs
charity shops are on one these days with their prices but guess they kinda have to put their prices up with economy and inflation the way it is. They just have to be careful they're not gonna be making that much from an income perspective anymore.
Prices are stupid. Have you ever thought about changing your business model. Buying direct from Temu cameras toys the wooden ones are ok then listing all brand new. No clothes ... Good luck. No charity shops
The time delay with pro is because it has to align with the Distance selling regulations for customer returns if you are a full time business / seller
Vinted hold the money for 14 days because of the distance selling regulations with regards to returns
4% of annual turnover x 5% intrest rate.

Yeah I agree! Seemingly no punishment for a bad service 🤷🏻

Buyers dont have the option to mark everything is ok when buying from a pro seller
@ wow, in that case I’d be more concerned about a buyer using the item for 13 days and then requesting a return.
@@AmeliaPremium yeah i sold aload of halloween costumes, and was expecting some returns but luckily I didn't get any returns.
Amazon and Etsy have started the 2 week hold on funds too.
It’s a killer! So annoying
Did you get access to a wholesaler to pick through? If so, how!
Most bulk/ wholesaler do handpicks. I just emailed my local one 👍

When you are working with the amount of money they would be are is a lot of low risk investments you can make.
