i got 120hp b8 passat 1.6tdi with 6gear manual, and got 3.6-3.9 mid l\100 and 1250-1350km per tank. 2.0tdi+awd dsg have 4.7-5.1l in same situations. actually its not a big difference and 2.0tdi 4motion are much more comfotrable in speed and wet
Watching your video just confirmes that 1.6 TDI is pointless engine. Same mpg as 2.0 TDI but way slower and just 5 gears. Btw great video. I enjoyed it.
Well, yes but no. In the sense of mpg, it is pointless. When buying it, the 2.0 is more expensive and the 100.000 or so CZK (or 3.5k eur) doesn’t justify buying it for my purpose. Glad you liked it!
I was talking about my drive to work - diesel engine, town with not a lot of fluent driving without stops and about 15 kilometres. A petrol engine is more suited for that, that’s why I am thinking about switching it.

What about proper highway route going 140+ and recording average consumption with this car?
