Since part of my piece is digital print mounted on paper that’s mounted on panel and image transfers I use something called timeless varnish for digital prints, it worked out fine and that varnish provides uv protection as well. I just have to remember to finish applying it to the next piece I will resin coat. You are awesome !

Be VERY careful with varnishes before you resin. Some will react very crazy with the resin and create TONS of pull aways and craters. I just learned that lesson with UV varnish spray. AND be sure that your paper for your print is done on a gloss type paper. It can't be canvas or pourous paper. The resin will seep into it and discolor the print. I would recommend a few coats of a thick gel medium maybe. Instead of the varnish. At least you know it is fully sealed then. Just be careful.

Hey there, do you do round projects and if so, do you do straight edges on those also, or rounded please? Also, I used some of your ideas already and I’m so happy with the results. Thank you.

Hey Jenny. I have done round pieces. I use the same technique. I tape the edges (no lip) and cover the piece very slowly. No overflow.

@@Cor1000 thank you. I will try that cause I have rounded edges which I coat with resin and thus far, makes a big mess underneath that I need to sand and repaint before I sell. Aaaaaaagh

@@jennymajid1964 Oh yes I can imagine the mess. I do my best to never allow flow over. I go slow and edge the pieces as best I can. No one likes to sand and all that. We have better things to do with our time. ;)

@@Cor1000 agree totally. Gonna try that on my next lazy Susan, especially as getting new orders. Thanks again Cor
