The beautiful thing about the origami crane is that, no matter how many you fold or how skilled you get, every crane will have unique imperfections of it's own in it, meaning that, just like people, no two cranes can ever be the same.
My school group made 1000 paper cranes for a girl who died because of a bombing. We sent it to japan for a display. It took weeks of many breaks just folding paper and yours looks better than mine will ever look. Mine always have some deformed heads and seem to have one wing longer than the other.
@@XxShade_FrostxX it could be an issue of paper. Make sure that ur paper is even in length, if ur using square paper (check by connecting one corner to another and folding/creasing, and see if there is any overhang). Also make sure to crease ur paper with every fold you make to imprint the memory of the fold into the paper, making it stronger
There’s a jazz group called “Hiroshima. One on of their albums, there’s a song called “Send Them a Thousand Cranes”. Thanks to you…I finally grasp a new aspect of that song. Anyway…happy folding!
I think it’s beacause of a Japanese story actually because in a book(sadoko and the thousand cranes) sadoko tries to fold 1000 paper cranes because she is sick and it is said that if you fold 1000 paper cranes you get any 1 wish granted
@@jimcabezola3051I’m pretty sure it is a coincidence but I know of a girl who was in Hiroshima but lived but was going to die soon so she tried to fold a thousand cranes to wish to not let her self die.
tutorial: 1 sheet of origami paper (square) fold the paper diagonally on both sides, unfold, flip the paper around, fold them horizontally and vertically, and unfold them. now rotate the paper 45° and take the left and right corner and fold them towards the middle of the paper. If done correctly, your paper should be a quarter its original size. Now with paper still diagonal, take the top layer of the bottom corner and raise it until it forms a diamond shape on top of the 45° square. fold the crease. flip the paper around and do the same thing. now your paper should be a tall diamond. Now fold the bottom left and bottom right or the paper to align at the center vertical line. do the same on the other side. now fold the top layer of the bottom corner towards the top, corner touching corner, and do the same on the pther side. now your paper should have legs (as i like to call it). fold the left leg towards the top from the side ,along with the other. now fold a portion of the broken left leg facing left (from the side), and fold down the wings (imagine someone followed this tutorial)
fun fact: I consider myself an origami expert, and that is because all the origamis I know how to do... well... how do I say it. I discovered how to make them but myself. never learned from a tutorial. Edit: i'm still gonna learn from tutorials now, because my origamis won't upgrade if I don't upgrade my folding. other fun fact: I teached the entire class how to make cranes and 60% of em failed (we had an entire hour to make em)
In nasa there is a job that makes sure that all of the parts of the rocket fit and fold in together perfectly to be the most space efficient there is one of these in the world only one person gets the job and my friend likes origami so much it’s his dream job
It is possible to accomplish this goal. When we learnt about Sadako in school, we were also taught how to make the cranes. We made over 1000 cranes for some initiative or program. I must've made over 150 cranes. Making and teaching every new person.
James Webb space telescope had many pieces that were folded and unfolded in space The sun shield is the best example ❤️ I do the same thing when I fold … which is mess up .. destroy .. and start again
One cool thing that happened to me was at night I watched a origami crane and slept after wards and the next morning I was able to make the most perfect crane effortlessly I was shocked an day second one was so small it was almost the smallest paper crane just a few nano meters larger and that kids is how I found my new cool ability and believe me when I say this method helped me learn stuff perfectly and faster
I have been making origami 3 years ago.its not hard its bot simple it just matters what you want to to i remember some origami's like the parrot uh a boat and... i forgot
There's a hidden trick with that crane origami, you fold the wing forward making a curve then hold it at the front and pull the tail and see what happens next. Thank me later🤗👌
That only works if u don’t fold in the base of the wings like he did, doing so will just lock the paper in. Makes for a more accurate but less fun model.
Just wanna point out that Origami wasn't invented in japan but been popularised by japanese particularly Akira Yoshizawa, it dates back from china where the first if not the first paper been created.😂
ye i actually do origami now i can do a lot of cool origamis but i was crap at the start i bearly could do something like a butterfly after like 2 weeks of origami but after making my 1st crane i started to do origami
For those learning to master origami my technique was watching a tutorial and then trying to do it myself and if I don’t remember I just watch the part of the video again.
1000 paper cranes is also used a kind of wish, there is a legend that if fold 1000 paper cranes your wishes will be granted
