The "professor" Roberto Vecchioni won Sanremo in 2011. He was a teacher of Italian language, Greek, and Latin. Beloved by his students. The song is a legacy he left to them, before he retired. The title means "Dream, boy, dream". He is now 80 years old.

Roberto Vecchioni wrote "dream, boy, dream" when he taught in high school. On the last day of school before his retirement, he brought the guitar to class, sang and dedicated to they this song.

Una canzone meravigliosa cantata da Roberto Vecchioni nel 1999.
Ripresentata a Sanremo 2024 come ' cover ' insieme ad Alfa e' ancora piu' bella, sia come musica con il sottofondo dei violini e pianoforte e con l' orchestra di Sanremo, che con le parole stupende nel finale della canzone scritto da Alfa.
Una poesia che tocca le corde del cuore.
Un invito ai giovani a non sprecare il loro tempo, a cercare l' amore, a scoprirlo in un tramonto, in uno sguardo in una canzone ad essere innamorati come " COLUI " che ha creato il mondo.
Ogni volta che sento questa canzone piango di gioia e di dolore.

What many of you probably don't know is that Vecchioni's son died last year at 36 years old. The song was dedicated to his son but without the end, because it was blank for him to finish. The Professor let Alfa end it in honor of his son.
