I’m a Pies Fan, but I loath the fact that our great rivals from the west have hit rock bottom after a massacre of seismic proportions. Like where is the West Coast Eagles that were great in 2018? Where is the West Coast Eagles that were great in 1992 and 1994? Where is the West Coast Eagles that have been great in back to back Grand Finals vs Sydney? Like where is the West Coast Eagles that Mick Malthouse built? If there is one man that will be so angry with so much rage it is Mick Malthouse! It is really pitiful that a great rival club like West Coast Eagles are destroying themselves from the inside out and I as a Collingwood fan am absolutely fed-up with the excuses from West Coast. There has to be a line drawn in the sand surely. The talk has got to stop, the walk has got to start and start very soon. 😡⚡️
I’m rapt that they’re down at the bottom. The arrogance of that team and their supporters is immense, as anyone who has lived in Wa for as long as I have will tell you. As for their premiership teams, the Eagles of the early 1990s were gifted a State team, while the teams of 2005-6 were tainted by illegal drug use. Karma.

What has that club got to do with you ? Sounds like sour grapes to me because they smashed you in 2018 . How many flags do the Pies have compared to the Eagles since the inception of the AFL ? I am sure they will be fine , worry about your own club !
As a Pies fan, I'm so proud that we made some hard decisions to move to the club forward. As painful as they were, now look at where we are now. West Coast should take a leaf out of our book. Yes, it's sad the position the Eagles are in, such a proud & (once) mighty club, but it's no one's fault but their own that they are in this situation. I highly doubt Collingwood would get much sympathy if we were in West Coast's position atm.
How Gerard has put up with this flog for so long is beyond me 🤡

I know West Coast was pathetic. However a team does not kick a 200 point score, first time since 2011, unless they are very, very slick. Yes, the Eagles players were not up to it, but all the comments are about West Coast whilst Sydney kicked twice as many points as most other clubs have been able to do against the Eagles.
It’s the old story since South Melbourne days, where the other team played bad and credit was never given to the Swans.
Who’s to say it shouldn’t have been another 100 point loss, like most of the teams have done against them? Maybe the second lot of 100 points could be attributed to the Swans excellent team play?
Sacking the coach won’t fix anything, the same players will be on the park next week
No doubt West Coast have been poor on field for a while now but you can't really have a worse run of injuries than what they've had in recent years. It's easy to forget that best 22 calibre players like Sheppard and Venables had to retire early for their health concerns which was very unlucky. On the flip side their list management has been terrible, if they didn't go after Kelly + accepted one of the offers for Gaff, that's probably 5 first/second round picks right there.
How about saying the Swans played above themselves on current form. Would we talking about this if WC only lost by 80. Give the Swans some credit FFS

Only thing I noticed was that the Eagles are currently SO pathetic... the umpires actually let a couple of Sydney free kicks go, rather than just inventing 30+ Sydney free kicks to hand them the game like normal :D When Sydney aren't getting free kicks you know you are all about to head back to the WAFL :D

I will remind people of this . These are the same people that repeatedly said "Sack Clarkson ,Harwick" before they turned the corner. Still call for Dew and Flagen to go and until Ports recent run also said "Hinkly must go" . They have played a role in so many good coaches being sacked without them getting a fair go " They're typical MSM trying to drum up a story for views and the more negative the better.
Whats being the riches club got to do with anything unless the AFL back track on the rules they brought in to stop the these successful clubs from spending it ( salary cap ).
End of the day for these rich , successful clubs that don't get AFL $$ what they do with their team is their decision , not for outsiders to say !

Selling everything bar the kitchen sink to get Tim Kelly and too long contracts for the senior players has stitched the club right up. CEO, team list management and coach need to go.
But not the club doctor, physio and medical staff?
The problem with these players is their fitness, but you want everyone but the medical team gone?

The question is: How do you get rid of Simmo with two years remaining on his contract (meaning the club has to pay him out) and not exceed the soft cap?
Get exemption from AFL.
Scrap the soft cap. Let the assistant coaches earn a proper wage again.
With so many players injured, yes I wouldn't expect them to win much but I also wouldn't expect them to show no interest in even trying. It's periods like these when the lower ranked players can show what they've got and maybe get a regular spot. But they looked like they couldn't even be bothered. A good coach wouldn't create that sort of culture.

How would any Club look after the mandatory retirements, retirements and due to retirement players add to that the injury list and you go from an AFL side to a lower league side, playing against AFL sides.
They are guilty of list management and recruitment and fitness and conditioning though.
It'll get addressed, I'd say how many Clubs have won more AFL Premierships there's one Hawks and they ain't travelling well of late either.

By 2016, the Demons were consistently one of the worst teams in the competition and now they’re a very good team with a premiership to show for it. It wasn’t long ago that Lordo was about to cry over the state of Essendon and they’re not even that bad this year. I think the same thing will happen for West Coast, but incoherent rambling and relentless despair aren’t solutions.
The montage they showed on 360 before this discussion was super dramatic, with the usual talking heads. It's only a sport.
