Magic City WAS a Crazy Eddie but before that it was a stand-alone, single-screen movie theater called the Century Richmond. I believe the last film I saw there was J.F.K., around 1990. There was another stand-alone movie theater called The Island that was close to the plaza entrance near Richmond Ave. Michael's back in the 70's was a McCrory's Dept. store. My grandfather bought me a Land of the Giants board game there. I wish I still had it.

I worked at Shoprite in the 80's. It was a great place to work and we all hung out at night in the parking lot and no one ever bothered us. Even the cops were cool and told us to clean up after ourselves, but let us stay. Great times.

I remember when E J Korvettes opened. It was a two story store. Music and toys upstairs, important stuff. They had these small booths outside with the BEST soft pretzels. Only problem was, the smell of the dump.
Korvettes was a two story building and Pergament was only one story.
The airport and farmers market was where the mall is now. One end of the runway ended at a drive in movie. yes there was a drive in movie there. Sort of where Toys r Us was, general area. I took my first plane ride at that airport.
Indeed it was Crazy Eddie, his prices are INSANE! Before that it was a movie theater.
There was a Roll And Roster on Hylan Blvd as well.

Century Richmond movie theatre was originally at Jembro/Crazy Eddie (insane) location. Caprice bakery was next to the pizzeria . SS Kresge store was where Goodfellas was filmed. Bath Beach Health Spa was above Pergament (early 80's). EJ Korvettes was the main store in that plaza in the 60's. Acme supermarket was the main and only store across the street. Looks like the Carvell is still there. SINY 10312 will always be my hometown.
