Don't compare ur baby to this one even if they're the same age. Each baby has his/her own style. I wouldn't care less if my baby ate purees or chunks. When they grow up they will eat everything.

my son is 10 months old and he is still eating soft baby food in jars. he chokes and gags everytime i try to give him hard sold foods! HELP!
My son is the very same way. Watching this video I am shocked that this baby eats so much. Because it's a struggle feeding my little one. He only want breast milk. I need help also.
My son was the same way but the pediatrician said that the gag reflex is normal with trying new food and unfamiliar textures. What helped us was for me to sit in front of him and let him watch me chew the same food. Easier said than done but try to not panic or make a facial expression if he begins to choke. It can scare them to not try again or remain relaxed. Try gradual steps. Ex: Purée, purée with small chunks, etc. Increasing the stages/thickness overtime may help. Be patient and praise him for imitating you or merely trying. All babies are unique and my son didn’t catch on until 15 months old. You’re doing great and he’ll get it in time. 👌🏻

I tried to give him blueberries cut in pieces and he had a hard time cuz of the skin got stuck .
So I’m going little by little as a first time mom I’m trying to research more info but , at the end he will be ready and have a lot of years to deal with food lol
i tried it with my 2nd born since im too scared to try it with my eldest and you have to start puree at 4 mos and slowly transitioned the baby with finger food at 6 mos really works for us because he use of the texture and can handle to bite anything soft but it depends on the baby whenever he or she is ready to eat but baby led weaning is very effective for oral motor skills
My son was like this too, he’s just turning 10 months now and the past month I’ve been giving him those baby cereal snacks. I’ll even break those in have and let him taste it or try and pick it up and eat it.. he’s been getting better at other foods now.. like just yesterday he has some meatloaf

Angelica’s Recovery I don’t care what they call it. It’s irresponsible to give a baby food that size that they don’t even need yet and for what? They don’t have the teeth to break it down because they aren’t designed to eat it yet in the first place. Young parents
Kyle Kitchens every baby is different. Some have more teeth then others. I personally wouldn’t give my baby that size of chunks, but you don’t have to judge other parents for the way they feed their baby.
I was thinking the same thing he has obviously learnt how to eat these kinds of foods just like my 10 month old daughter. Most of the foods like the banana, avocado etc.. are soft and easy to break down and my little one has teeth she even grabs the spoon to feed herself every baby is different as long as you are watching them closely its fine as they are learning.
Whew, I asked my daughter's pediatrician about this and she's totally against it because too many babies die eating big pieces of food. Just because someone else's kid is fine doesn't mean yours is going to be and I'm not going to take that risk either.
Everyones child is different though. My 10 month doesnt seem to have an issue with big pieces of food either.

The choking is a natural reflex and every baby doesnt matter what time you start the solids will gag. The chocking goes away bye time. It is good for baby's to eat solid food and to feed themselves other wise the baby will be a very picky eater and cant learn how to stop when they are full or what so ever. I rhink every mommy should do pareting there own way but mess is just part of the pearning process:)
He has so much hair!!! My daughter is 11 months old and she’s still bald LOL. My daughter loves pancakes and blueberries. I never give my daughter a plate because she will just throw it across the room lol.
Woah this is wild to me, my baby is 9 months and all he wants is the booby lol. Won’t take a bottle and really doesn’t care much about food, though I continue to give him purees. Also I haven’t tried a cup with a straw for him but gonna order some now

The bottom teeth are pretty sharp since they just came out with babies so as long as the spaghetti is cooked to soft instead of al dente it should be good

Same here. My son is 11 months old and I’m terrified! Plus I think he also gets nervous because for example I’ll give him one of those yogurt drops and he will gag on it and starts getting super scared and ends up puking everywhere 😞😞
Nimi Raniga he was 8 months and his grandmother was feeding him, I wasn’t there to see what exactly happened, but the grandmother couldn’t get the piece of peach out and when the paramedics showed up it was too late he was brain dead from the cut of oxygen to the brain.
Pau.g I think his throw ups are from the yogurt. I tried it and wanted to gag with my daughter.

Diana Cordon mine did too it sucks. I would get happy he was eating than all of a sudden he would start to gag and throw up 🤦🏻♀️ He just turned one he is better at eating now. Ocasionaly he will do it but not often.

Diana Cordon Diana Cordon For breakfast he eats Farina and when he eats that I give him some fruit and some water. I alternate breakfast every other day. Sometimes he eats homemade two ingredient banana pancakes witch he loveeees. I have plenty of different breakfast ideas that my son loves but this would be quite long it would be better if I did a video on what my son eats in a whole day 😂
Diana Cordon I know it’s frustrating but don’t worry momma as long he is healthy and growing ♥️ My son just turned one and sometimes does it still. He had his one year check up today and the doctor said he is perfectly healthy ♥️

Whelllll you should be afraid, because anything round that small is a chocking hazard. For example, you can give a 10 month old peas, but just in piuree or smashed.

I think it just depends how fast your baby is developing. I have a 10 month baby cousin (that I babysit all the time) that has 5 teeth and eats the exact same things and roughly the same quanitites, but I have another one that barely has the bottom two teeth come in and that one is mostly breastfed with mashed vegetables/fruits once or twice a day.
This is how I feed my 10 month old too except he eats plant based but same size of pieces of food. It’s called baby led weaning for all the people freaking out in the comments and it’s totally fine to do! My son just started refusing purées and wanted to feed himself so that’s what I started to do. You don’t just randomly give your baby a big chunk of pancake, you work up to the bigger pieces as your baby learns to bring the food to their mouth.

Oh wow! Impressive. What a good eater. My 2 yr old and 3 yr dont eat that much in one sitting. I wish they do. They do snack a lot tho and they love fruits for snack.

I think it's the way babies get used to , I am sure this mama started giving her baby food like this earlier and he now knows how to eat it. If you are scared and keep delaying babies will learn later

Good question i want to know as well. My 10 months still doesnt chew properly even if she has 5 teeth...meals are always a bit complicated for me...i tried pancakes but she doesnt chew it well so it stays forever in her mouth. Thats y im hesitant to give her berries because im scared she will choke. Same for anything else..like pieces i give her like avocado slips from her hand and sometimes she will take a too big chunk or the whole piece in her mouth and again danger of choking. She eats rice she loves it, she refuses any form of chicken but im thinking maybe i didnt find the magic receipe lol thanks for the videos :)
I boil chicken in low sodium chicken broth with a small bit of pepper and parsley. In a medium saucepan, bring the cubed chicken, broth, pepper and parsley to a boil over medium heat.
Simmer. Turn the heat down to low and simmer, covered, for 15-20 minutes or until chicken is just cooked through. Let cool slightly. You can shred it and serve or you can purée it and mix it other other foods. When you purée, make sure you strain the chicken into your blend then add about 1/4 cup of the broth. Blend as is or with other foods 👍

mine are like that, you just have to give only a little at a time and cut into small bits.. it's a lot of work but I think they slowly learn to be better
People are talking about mess :D I am sure you don't want to see the mess my daughter makes. She is in a phase now where she throws food on the floor if she doesn't like it or if she is done with it. I tried all the ways suggested on the internet to stop this habit but had no luck. Her clothes, her chair, the floor under and around her chair are full of the tiniest pieces of food and rice. She won't let me feed her. She was never interested in purees or baby cereal. I tried for 2 months from 5 months to 7 months she was refusing anything other than milk until I introduced baby led weaning. And like I said in a previous comment, I started cutting the food into small pieces and she started eating it. She still has an issue with mushy food like banana and potato. She rather plays with them and throw them after and there are always times when she isn't eating like she usually does. We have to be patient with these little ones. Problems that come with them are endless.
My nephew don't like eating so i was so stressed about it. Cuz he's small and not chubby so i have to force him to eat. He's 11 months old now

Do you just nurse or pump in between? My daughter is 1 year old and our pediatrician suggested 16 oz of milk but since I nurse her most time i m unsure how much she takes. Btw both your son are too cute! I love your channel 😘

HotnColdTV1 We give babies eggs from 6 months.. I’ve heard egg whites are not so good for young babies but at 10 months shouldn’t be a problem unless there are other health issues.
You can give your daughters pretty much EVERYTHING except for honey. My baby girl is 9 months and she eats everything we put on her plate. Puree and solids!

He's nearly 10 months now and eats everything i give him, like all vegetables, pasta dishes, chicken soup, scrambled eggs, lentils, beans etc but i just mash it to how he likes it.

When did you stop giving him puree food ? My baby is 7 months old and she doesn't have any teeth yet so I still puree all of her food.
did you try puffs or cheerios? they sort of just melt in their mouths but it's good fine motor practice to have them pick them up and put into mouth and learn to chew even before they have teeth

@@mytran6936 @p kaur my baby is 16 months now, yesterday was literally the first day I weaned him off breast milk. He drank 2 ounces of his milk all day but it's a start. It's hard he's fussy but we're going back in office soon he'll be without me. But I stopped worrying about it (or tried) I just either put the food in front of him or feed him myself some days but if he don't want it he has to wait another 2-3 hours to eat. I know it seems harsh and I worry about it still, but babies really do eat when they're hungry. My baby has gone 6-8 hours he was awake the whole time without eating and finally he ate by himself that's how it started, now he's eating more he's very very slowly gaining weight. He's tougher than I thought and more stubborn. One time he didn't eat dinner and fell asleep I worried the whole night but he ate a whole banana that's how hungry he was when he woke up. No matter how much you want to see your baby smile through junk food don't do it XD sugar is addictive my son gets it once a week or when he has a really good eating day I give him fruit popsicle
Mash up ur babies food and put it on the high chair tray they will play with it and eat some this is how I get my 10month old to eat

Again... am I the only one freaking out for the food sizes????? That chicken piece is as big as baby’s throat! This is my second baby and maybe after “seeing” things I’m more cautious about food... My pediatrician said he can eat everything but honey or hotdogs (choking hazards) but he did say be cautious on the size of the food hmmmmm help!!!!

Not only you, I am same as u thinking about sizes and my baby 10 month old and still eats macshed food, I think this baby is very smart on eating.
aarya18 it has nothing to do with how smart a baby is lol and as parents we can’t completely trust they will chew their food to a proper swallowing size EVERY single time. It’s our duty to cut it into small safe pieces until they’re at the proper age. To each is own but new parents if you’re watching this video lol don’t do what April does. And don’t waste so much food cause believe me that baby did not eat all of it. Most of it ended up on the floor , chair etc .
V M It takes ONE good scare like I had to NEVER take that chance again. I was also a child that almost choked to death on a hard candy so I’m convinced that children don’t always chew or handle their food correctly. I sure hope these parents know the heimlich or they’re gonna be sorry. 😕

Don’t ever give your child a huge piece of banana or big pieces of food(Chocking hazard). At this age they are going from purée food to learning how to eat solids, be super careful, plus they will have trouble digesting big chunks of solid food and end up with tummy ache.
Nina Correa I completely agree. I cringed seeing those huge pieces of food. At this age they don’t even have the teeth necessary to break down food that size. Oatmeal, mashed potatoes, etc. I have attempted to give my 11 month old even mashed pieces of things and even then she still had trouble. It’s NOT worth it! Not one of my other 4 children ever had food this size at this age either. They will eat it in due time! ~Nina Kitchens
I totally agree. Watching that huge chunk of banana break off in his mouth gave me too much anxiety. Good variety of food but needs to be cut up imo!

That’s a lot of food. That’s awesome. My baby is also 10 months old but she would choke if I gave her peas and patties like that. She also doesn’t eat that much solids.

Charisma Sharon Jenzer I just sppke to our pediatrician and she says you shouldn't force him to eat solids if he isn't ready. Only when he will have all chewing teeth, the he is ready. My friend's daughter started to eat pieces at 1,3 years.
