If you see the part in fast speed getting the thermometer after pulling the bus, you'll see a spare axle and parts in my trunk! I would have sworn something would have snapped
Me too, I agree. I would have bet an axle pin would have broke. If you see the part in fast speed getting the thermometer after pulling the bus, you'll see a spare axle and parts in my trunk... lol
You should totally build a custom build based on some kind of heavy hauler or military truck. Gives the vehicle more weight so it has more traction without you sitting on it.
I just bought your 10000 mah cnhl from amazon! Whats the best way to place them on side or on youtube label facing up amd trim the front and back side of trays? Wires wont fit with out trimming
Awesome glad to hear and hope you like it! Hm that's actually one thing I try to perfect is the battery placement a certain way so I can see that front logo on the label while the wires still going in the right direction I need them to. I'd say do your best to fit them any way or shorten an esc wire length to compensate the battery being flipped around. Shorter wires are always appreciated in an electrical circuit- less resistance!
I'll certainly say I couldn't push the bus myself to move it, I tried before pulling it. But 4 large tires on the 8s Kraton had more surface area on the ground than my two shoes, able to get more traction than me with my shoes only on the ground. So unbelievably using my weight on Colossus actually pulls more than I can physically push
Hello, I know you are a player with a lot of experience with this RC and I have a question for you: can the kraton8exb with a max4 esc and a castle 800kv motor reach speeds of more than 100mph? and of course it can. 39/39
thanks for the video. I have one question. If the load and speed remains the same on the output shaft will the motor heat the with 5:1 or 10:1 gear? On 10:1 the torque is 50 percent less but I need twice as much motor speed and I dont know the characteristics. the math says that the current will remain the same. thanks
@@InnovationRC but the higher the gear reduction the less speed you get on the output. but if the output speed must be the same for different gearing it doesnt make the difference unless you are not putting too much torque on the motor.
You are going to be hating it if that cable or hook breaks. You should use nylon tow straps. But it's your spine and my 2 cents. Just looking out for ya.
That’s CRAZY!… I’m seeing metal shavings fallen from the ⚙️ gears😮… also you didn’t mention that those are the STOCK drive shafts and axles on the 1/5 Kraton EXB, impressive!…. It would be great to see what the DATA LOGS are??
@@InnovationRC ..Thanks for the reply😎 and congrats on your name brand Lipo lineup. I’d like to accomplish something like that some day soon but that all depends on what direction my channel takes. Keep up the good work 💪🫵
The road to run him on, or any Speedrun car is being worked on, so there's tar everywhere making me unable to run Vision. Fortunately, he is sitting on my shelf maintained, clean and happy 🤠
BTW… someone commented that a 1HP wench was quicker/stronger than your demonstration in this video and he made a very good point but then also said these“100hp” rc cars are over rated 😂 and I get where he’s coming from. So I wanted to re-post my reply on the front page bcs I want to hear other ppls comments… so I said: … however a wench is built for torque and it’s geared for torque but I get what you’re saying. These rc motors don’t have as much torque as a wench but they do operate at high rpm speeds between 65k rpm - 100k rpm so what ever the hp rating is for that motor, you have to be at high rpm to reach that hp number. In this video, those motors are 800kv and rated 45k rpm and you won’t see 25hp from each motor until they reach top rpm. Ok So this current low gear ratio gives the rc truck 15mph at top speed at 45k rpm.., Pulling the bus was moving about 2mph - 3mph… that’s 1/5 of its top speed. So 45k rpm divided by 5 would be just 9k rpm, and 1/5 of 25hp would be 5HP and at times two motors at best 10hp. So we witnessed an rc truck pulling a bus at 10hp and 9k rpm going at 3mph tops. One thing to remember…. You CAN have TORQUE without hp… which is why the wench is as powerful as it is!l at only 1hp. But.. you cannot have hp without TORQUE.
Absolutely agree! It only pulled 8hp to move the bus. Electronics show via data logs it can easily tow another bus... Maximum power out is 25hp per motor/ esc (safely), if the motors only pulled 8hp. This bus is a third of what it can really tow..
@@stuntmane100 …. Dang dude😬… but hm.. a good safe medium for a electric motor under fair load would be, well if the 800kv motor is 45,000 rpm then roughly 20,000 would be safe while still having big load. Temps will be based on how long you stay on the trigger and amp draw will be based on gear ratio. I would program your electronics so at full throttle you will not exceed a max 20,000rpm limit regardless of amp load or weight. Start with the smallest pinion you can muster and keep going up in pinion size until you reach your “chosen” safe amp limit for the castle xlx2 which is 500 amps but that’s in speed running and not “crawling” if you will. So I would limit the esc amp draw limit to 350 amps to stay safe. Your ONLY nemesis is that you have a speed goal and not so much a weight load. That blue Porsche he pulled was more than double the weight of your goal, infact it was closer to 4000 LBS and he was moving at 1 rpm. So as far as THAT setup…. At only 1000 LBS he mayyy be able to go 4mph with that gearing and settings, as comparison.
thats crazy i could use a little help making a speed run car not sure how fast i want to go just fast enough to stay ahead of my buddy and im in florida myself. great job now throw some screamin little kids and a distracted bus driver on the bus...lol
A strong human can pull that bus on level ground. And that's not 2hp of available power. You take a 6hp 70cc pit bike / monkey bike and it would pull that bus way faster.
… however a wench is built for torque and it’s geared for torque but I get what you’re saying. How does this not have 1M views. Crazy. Liked and commented for the algo 👍. Appreciate the hard work man.
Aw thanks man. I don't know I'm really upset about it. This took a lot of planning and organizing to even make it happen
Yes Amigo, THE EARTH IS SPREAD FLAT, and your E-C Car is impressive 👍👍👍
So awesome!!
Great video! It is pretty amazing how you reworked those motors to be able to have enough torque to pull a 21,000 pound bus.
THATS FKN CRAZY HELL YEAH BROTHER
That Kraton is extremely strong!
Great job
Bro that's really cool arrma will be number 1 😊
That was pretty cool Brandon, glad to see you finally did it. Looking forward to seeing more. Come out and make some runs in the morning .

I was thinking the same actually!
My question is even though the bus was on a level surface, when were the air brakes released on the bus?
I'm sure they were off. Bus was in neutral too

Even though the pulling force is much less than the actual weight of the vehicle so cool how much force does it actually take to move the bus?

They do but nothing serious

The motor will heat up less, the higher the heat reduction the less the motor needs to work to turnover the transmission.

Much appreciated! Data log under load read 8hp (per ESC). I'm sure if we pulled with 8s, HP would be lower with voltage compensating higher amps

That's why I had to sit on it
Lol…. That’s awesome…. Looks like a ton of money under the hood of that guy!!…. But definitely cool!!

well ask the guy to keep the brakes on. then u r actually pulling the weight without the aid of momentum 😎
