Forte Tenors Josh Page, Fernando Varela, and Hana Ryu (류하나) shock the judges after meeting only a few days before, coming together, and blowing away the world with a powerful collective voice. Forte represent the harmony of different people in America coming together.
The way that they just met online and decide to put their voices together are genius in my eyes.! So amazing
I’ll bet you that the girl that said “They look like a joke” is chocking on her words now!
They are absolutely incredible!
Initially I hated her for saying that, but when I thought about it, it felt like she was a "mole" planted in the audience.
How else did the cameraman picked up her words so clearly and at the right time? She probably had a hidden mic in her shirt too.
It's all scripted. Body language or facial expressions can be understood for being real but statements are all scripted. She did her part well.

The New York guy is Josh Page who sung The Prayer with Josh Groban in concert nine years ago, as a volunteer from the audience. I knew I recognised him, great voices all of them! ☺️❤️

No wonder everyone was so impressed, definitely so thankful that these three tenors made this very IMPORTANT EVENT
When you have that kind of God-given talent, you could meet at noon and perform together at 8:00 pm and sing perfectly. God bless them.

The two most difficult thing in show business are stand up comedy and opera. These guys knocked it out of the park. Bravissima!
The music piece is entitled "Pie Jesu" which is heavenly.. But their voices are grand that makes the piece more divine and extraordinary..

Looks they sang Webber’s version, leaving off the last two lines.
That is a particularly difficult piece to deliver well, from the range, modulation and duration over any given note. Talented singers don't just sing this. They deliver it from their soul or else it won't produce the intended result. This was a truly brilliant performance.
Prejudging people is a cancer in our society. What is wrong with our society? What goes round comes round. What outstanding voices.
I've heard guys in a group for years and not sound near as good as "Forte", what a great group they are, great harmony. Loved their performance.
If the New Yorker is a tenor, he's got incredible range, because he sounded like a natural baritone to me. Well done!!! They have a great balance and their tone is incredible!!!! The sky is the limit!!!

@Robert Garcia: You do realise, that this video is 8 years old? Il Volo weren‘t very popular worldwide till some years ago. And then one could also claim, that the three guys from Il Volo try to copy the three tenors Pavarotti, Domingo and Carreras. Thats just nonsense. Just because there are three italian guys singing opera-stuff, that means no one else is allowed to do it or what?

I can't believe that this was almost seven years ago. I've now heard each of them perform duets with my favorite singer, Jackie Evancho. All were tremendous.

Both Josh and Fernando have won the David Foster music competitions, and Fernando tours with David Foster. Saw them last month absolutely amazing!
You are right. Both of them have previously sung with Jackie Evancho. Fernando was with Foster in Asia a few years before this. They are not rookie singers.

I was thinking the exact same thing! That audition is precisely how you prove yourself on the world stage. Actually Josh Page has sang with Josh Groban before, so I knew he'd be a legit singer. In fact right when I saw his name, I was like "ah okay, this is going to be a fabulous audition!"

Fernando is the emotional heart of the group but they are all great!

This part (3:05) of their performance was the most spine tingling and goose bumps inducing cresendo I have ever heard from an amateur Opera singing group in my life.

Erwin, how weird is that this Forte group it's there first time singing together and they all 3 meet online and what are the chances are that. A Hispanic, a Korean, and a new Yorker Howie says lmao and they were analyzing wow, how they harmonize together and all wow.
Ive seen many artists turn up for a show no time to rehearse even.

Regretably..they lost the Korean....the initial 3 were perfect together. I dont think it has been the same since. Different, perhaps as good, but not the same. Miss that guy.
Josh, clarion ringing intro, Fernando has the big rafter rattling room filling robusto voice, and Hana, the elegant perfect rich middle high voice. What a magnificent solo compliment, and better still the harmony.
Winners all the way. Instant challengers for the win. Fate...D**n ya.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Good singers are a dime a dozen...there are literally millions of them the world round. But the fact that these three could meet, basically randomly, and have the most amazing *HARMONIES*...That's the true magic of Forte!

Kinda makes 'Shake to Shuffle' a bit more interesting. Switching from Charlie Daniels to Eminem to Metallica to Forte can make for a fun commute, that's for sure. :D
+Ark Lyte These artists are not ''singers'' they are tenors.To be a good tenor it takes years of education in serious classical music and a lot of sacrifice. To be an excellent tenor like them is extremely rare.Not even hundreds.
Athenian888 By 'singers', I meant those who are gifted with the ability to carry a tune in a pleasant and meaningful way. So, yes, they do qualify. This is a talent you are born with...if you dont have a good voice to begin with, all the training and study in the world wont make a lick of difference.
Yes, the three in the video are excellent tenors, and yes, there are probably only a few hundred world class tenors around, but that wasn't really the point of my original comment. :)
It was the amazing harmonies that the three of them created that were absolutely magical, especially when you consider how short a time they had been working together.
+Ark Lyte They do sound wonderful, but it isn't really as magical as you might think. It is called being a highly trained classical singer AND being professional in your attitude. If you have these qualifications, you can "throw" together some pretty magical sounding things very quickly. ...But then...it is exactly those qualifications that most of the "good singers" you talk about, don't have.

@@fezzik7619 im not an opera officiant but i know enough to decipher the elite(pavarotti) great,good,bad...paul potts is great, but like the elite Secretariat, there is only one and for me, LP will always be it, but to give credit, there are some great opera singers.
This is why internet is absolutely the best, brings people together with interest.

Singing in a group CAN be very difficult. The special qualities of each individual voice need to be given the opportunity to shine...but not so much as to stand out when they sing in unison. Former soloists are notorious for “out-singing” other members of the group. Sometimes intentional... sometimes not...but THESE guys obviously know how to blend without taking anything away from the individual voices. It’s a pinch of luck, combined with a lot a natural talent, and even MORE hard work to get it juuust right. THAT ability....amongst a “few” others...is what makes them great!!

The perfect pitch, voice control and blend, and amazing tone never fail to deliver me to the edge of tears at the sheer beauty of your rendition. Despite your standing in the AGT finals, I could listen to you endlessly.
From the moment FORTE started to sing I was hooked, beyond hooked! They have tremendous talent and I absolutely love how they harmonize. They are destined for super stardom!

I Loved it. Great job. I believe if I am not mistaken Pie Jesu is the Lamb of God we would say in church. First heard it by Charlotte Church around 2000. About 3 years ago found another 2013 singer from Hollands Got Talent, Amira Willighagen, who I have been following. On her first album still 9 years old sang this song. Now you three from 2013 and just discovered you. I love great music like this. Hope you are still performing music like this and loving it.

I'm from the UK so I had no idea about this group but it's amazing and especially when yous had only been together for a few days! Hats off to yous

Awesome performance. If they have been together for such a short time, the harmonies and blend is incredible. As a tenor myself, they have great control (as shown around 03:15 and maintaining the vibrato on that decrescendo shows skill). And, as for Hana's top C !!!
