Cuz here Hikari is an adjective meaning shining, but hikaru is the plain form of the verb, to emit light

I wonder why Kanon says "Hikaru" instead of "Hikari" in the chorus when she mentions "shining fireworks" (I think), usually that's just the masculine form of the word reserved for names... Girls, is there a specific boy this song is for that has that name?
