Great descriptions of each of the individual horses! I have a hard time telling Arlo and Zazu apart, Gaston and Bagheera look very much alike when they’re at a distance. Mushu and Lumiere are both standouts in their own ways. At a distance, the painted horses, Beauty, Naveen, and Lightning are similar enough that they can be mistaken for one another. Shae , I just wanted to give you some support about your situation with Lumière. I got my paint, Arrow, who was 5 at the time. His story was kind of sad. Idk what his previous owner paid for him, but I’m sure it was more money than I could ever have afforded. Plus, he drove him all of the way from Texas to North Carolina to get trained. Apparently, he wanted to do reining, team penning and other western sports with him. The training was supposed to last 10 weeks. Unfortunately, the guy never came back for him. I have a friend who makes custom bits and is a professional Western rider. He does team penning all over the country. He was going out on the road for a few months. I had given my husband, Jeff, some riding lessons and he decided he wanted a horse so he could ride with me. Hallelujah!!! I was so thrilled. I asked Ray if he would look for a paint for Jeff. He was going out on the road so he said he’d keep his eyes out for me. I hadn’t heard from him and it had been about 3 months and so I pretty much was disappointed that there would not be a new horse in our life this trip and I’d have to continue my search locally. Horses in my area are very expensive. All of my horses have been ones I had rescued through my job as a Veterinary Technician. Some were worse than others with two of them being near death. Imagine my excitement when Ray called me and said he’d found a gorgeous paint for us. He was in a little rough shape, but nothing I couldn’t handle. He had the worst case of rain rot that I had ever laid eyes on. It was February in NY and he had come up with his coat completely shed out. I had to blanket him to keep him dry. When I treated the rain rot, I He was just recently gelded so I was warned he would act like a stallion until the hormones worked out of his system. He was a bay tobiano with more white than brown. His head had an arrow shaped star and he had a big white snip that covered his nose than narrowed to a point. His mane was alternating black and white sections and his tail was white with a black tip. His registered name was Eddie’s Plowboy….yuk! I hated Eddie and Plowboy was a definite, NO! So we called him Arrow after the marking on his forehead. We hadn’t built our barn yet so 5 of us rented 20 acres of an old dairy farm that no longer had cattle. It was divided into 4 pastures with run in sheds and a 4 stall barn. At first I didn’t put him in with the other horses except Arnold, my perfectly healed near death rescue. Arrow acted like a stallion as soon as he saw the two female members of the herd. Since I wasn’t sure how he would behave, I put a pasture in between them so they couldn’t interact over the fences. I kept them separated for a month and my friends were pressuring me to put everyone together. I did and it was the disaster I expected. Within 5 minutes Arrow was trying to mount my friend’s thoroughbred mare. Luckily, she was 16.2 hands and Arrow was only 15 hands. Beau wasn’t in heat so no penetration took place. We did have a very old mare who had a terrible knee. I was really afraid she might get hurt. So I waited another month. We put some geldings in with my horses to even out the herds. This way they could get used to get used to each other. Arrow would try to push the other horses around, but over time the behavior decreased. I have to say it took a LOT longer than I originally expected. I managed to get in touch with the farm that bred him. They were very disappointed that he had been gelded. Apparently, they used him as a stud as a 3 year old. Maybe I’m backward, but I thought that was too young. I guess that happens in Nature is that the colts live in bachelor bands until they’re able to start a herd of their own. I didn’t realize just how long it took for the hormones to work their way out of his system. Plus, some of his learned behavior had to be redirected into his training. Arrow was insanely smart. I went down one morning to find him out of his stall. I rarely ever keep the horses in their stalls except when the weather is really bad. I immediately thought I just hadn’t latched his door properly. Idk about you, but Arrow was always very tactile with his lips. Maybe it’s horse love language! 😂 He’d pick up buckets before I even taught him to do it as a trick. I had to direct that energy somewhere. His first trick was to learn to smile. He picked everything up so quickly. All of the trick learning helped him take his mind off the mares and redirect that energy someplace else. Is Lumière at all like Arrow? I’m sure once get into his training more deeply, he won’t think of the new boys as competition for the mare’s attention. I have to say Naveen’s color is SO similar to my first pony, Rebel. He was mostly brown like your boy. Rebel had a big white blaze. His mane alternated from black on the top of his head to white where he had a big white streak that ran down his neck to his elbow then back to black on his withers. His tail was white where he had a splash of white on his butt, but the tip was black. He had black points on his knees and ears, but his best feature were his lower legs had white stockings that were feathered. He would be mistaken for a Gypsy Vanner today. He was almost 14 hands so I rode him until I was 15 and he was 35! We decided to retire him then, but he wasn’t happy about it. Our pastures were all surrounded by 3.5-4’ high stone walls that were 2’ wide. Our biggest crop in NY is rocks! When my friend went to college she asked me to ride her horse. Every time I rode Flicka away from the barn, Rebel would jump the wall and come after us. Finally, I just started to pony him. He was happy as long as he could come. Thank you for letting me share my stories with you. I hope my experience with Arrow’s late castration gives you some insight into Lumiere’s behavior. Be patient. As he gets more involved in his training, the hormones decrease and his brain is focused more on other things in his life, he will settle down. It may just take longer than expected. 😊❤😊
Ariel and Ezzy look soooo grown up and amazing in this video, if I wouldn't know they are ownly yearlings! And both their coats right now, there were a couple of times Ezzy looks just like her momma!
Arent introductions stressful? My the drama! Beauty is bossy. Lighting was getting used to the girl herd & u just gave him more! Those 2 fillies are gorgeous. Great Job Shae & Kyle!
That looks like a good move, putting him with geldings. Glad you found a solution. Maybe now that he is away from the mares, he will have his mind more on the training. Everyone looks happy now. Thanks for the updates.
Only issue I see is when they use the outdoor arena for lessons, it shares a fence with Lumi's new spot. That fence isn't unbreakable, as proven by Ezzy multiple times. Hope all goes well.
That’s why I love Gaston so much, he’s such a steady eddy. He would be a perfect horse for me if I could still ride. All the horses are gorgeous, Penelope and Koa too.
Gaston is one of my favourites, a lovely gelding, very little drama, pretty steady, friendly and a handsome boy. Such a sweetheart no wonder Shae had kept him for a few years now for the students to ride. He is the perfect horse for many riders so a gem for a riding school ❤
The saga continues. It's so educational to see the horses express their individual personalities and respond to each other as individuals; show their likes and dislikes. I don't know if it would be possible to figure out what bothers Lumi about Lightning, but they are who they are. Maybe he'll mellow out as he ages and gets farther away from his stallion days.
Watching Lightning today, it really hit me: like Lumi, he's a dominant gelding, perhaps even more so than Lumi, and with his years of experience, more confident and subtle than the hunky guy.
Everyone loves Mushu!! So sad that single unique personality we have all seen grow and develop into adorable Gypsie he is. We will miss our baby boy as I’m sure he will sell soon. I pray he will be happy. God Bless the little character!!

Very interesting that redirecting Arrow's energy into trick training changed his behavior toward the mares. 🤔
They say women glow when it's hot. So I always tell people that I'm glowing like a pig. I always really enjoy watching the horses. Love you all
“Am I the Drama?” With the picture of Lumi is hilarious! 😂💕
😂😂😂
Ariel and Ezzy look soooo grown up and amazing in this video, if I wouldn't know they are ownly yearlings! And both their coats right now, there were a couple of times Ezzy looks just like her momma!
Lumi is such a good boy though. So happy you are always so accommodating for the benefit of all your horses :)❤
"DON'T KICK MY SHED (I swear)"
Shae, you are a mood! :D
Hahaha 😂
Too funny. Linda
Ezzie sure has grown and taken on more confidence ❣️ The herd is beautiful.
Where there's a will, there's a way, and Shae, you always figure it out.❤
That’s such a shame the owners didn’t tell you abt that. U truly give your horses the best
Ezzy is looking so much like her mama , so beautiful ❤😊
Mama Shea it must fill your heart seeing your family all together!!💜
Arent introductions stressful?
My the drama!
Beauty is bossy. Lighting was getting used to the girl herd & u just gave him more! Those 2 fillies are gorgeous.
Great Job Shae & Kyle!
Beauty guarding her babies she’s sweet, bless Lumi ❤️
That looks like a good move, putting him with geldings. Glad you found a solution. Maybe now that he is away from the mares, he will have his mind more on the training. Everyone looks happy now. Thanks for the updates.
It's pasture management mayhem at FSE!
Only issue I see is when they use the outdoor arena for lessons, it shares a fence with Lumi's new spot. That fence isn't unbreakable, as proven by Ezzy multiple times. Hope all goes well.
Everyone’s excited about the new shed
That’s why I love Gaston so much, he’s such a steady eddy. He would be a perfect horse for me if I could still ride. All the horses are gorgeous, Penelope and Koa too.
Gaston is one of my favourites, a lovely gelding, very little drama, pretty steady, friendly and a handsome boy. Such a sweetheart no wonder Shae had kept him for a few years now for the students to ride. He is the perfect horse for many riders so a gem for a riding school ❤
Naveen, the horse that your husband picked out seems to be the most mellow of all the horses. He's just happy to be with the group
Ariel and Ezzy following Beauty ❤
Some things are a constant. Linda
The girls seem to hang together. That is so cute. All the horses are looking great
Our lovely Lumi, the trouble maker 🥰
He ist just the way he is,and i love that you let him be him. As long as its safe,of course.
Such a pretty boy😍
The saga continues. It's so educational to see the horses express their individual personalities and respond to each other as individuals; show their likes and dislikes. I don't know if it would be possible to figure out what bothers Lumi about Lightning, but they are who they are. Maybe he'll mellow out as he ages and gets farther away from his stallion days.
I hope Lumi reads that memo. Linda
Bageera is beautiful!! So are all of them!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤They are soo gorgeous!!! Love to watch the herd behavior!!!
The “sisters” hold their own. They’ve grown so beautiful!
Oh Lumi, our favorite high maintenance boy
Hey Horse Lovers! Time to rearrange the herd because of Lumiere haha. Let’s see how this goes. -Shae & Kyle 🐴❤️

Love the emojis you chose for each horse!!
I can't believe how much Esmerelda has grown. It doesn't seem that long that I've been watching your videos. The horses look awesome!
It’s crazy right?!
What a great way to spend time! Linda
I Love how protective Beauty is of the girls ❤ So stinkin sweet 😊
She is on a mission. Linda
@@TomUnderwood-lv8xm Why do you put Linda on every comment? If you are on your psrtner's youtube account it'd be easier to create your own.🤷♀️
@@vaw796Sorry to offend you. People thought the picture was creepy & my husband didn't want people thinking he was doing this. I have to use his account. Maybe this is not the place for me.
@@vaw796 Don't mean to be offensive. Time to go.
Haha! I thought "what a wonderful view Shae has, an even better ~ her horses!" ❤ then you said it!😄 I am glad they are yours too.
Enjoy the Labor Day weekend Shae & Kyle.
🍀🐎🐎🐎🐴🐎🐎🐎🐴🐎🐎🐴🍀
Great video Shae. Lovely horses, informative & entertaining👍
Sometimes I look at Ezzie an wonder "who is that?" Her conformation is great
Thank you! Especially for a wonky yearling stage :)
LUMIERE IS STUNNING, GORGEOUS !!!! ALL OF THEM ARE SO BEAUTIFUL !!!!
Oh my gosh Shay you got your hands full. They act like they haven't seen each other for a year LOL
What a busy day moving everyone around!! Beautiful horses ❤❤❤
Ariel is STUNNING
The yearlngs are so tall it's amazing. Gorgeous girls.
I love it Shae.. on how you do the commentary.. on what all the horses are thinking.. it all makes sense… you truly know and love your horses❤
A little bit of horse whisperer stuff? Linda
Lumi is one, handsome boy. He wants to be the boss. Ezzy and Ariel are gorgeous.💖💖
I remember when Ariel came into our lives (like if Im there lol) and it was said the she and Esme would be best friends. As I watch them all look so majestic and finding their place in the heard...Ariel and Esme are never far from each other or just side by side, they are totally Besties 😊 and so beautiful ❤️
This is the first time that I’ve had trouble picking out the filly’s. They have grown so big now, they just blend in with the big horses now. Bless their little hearts❤❤❤
That's a lot of work, but it's for everyone's safety. Lumi can't help the way he is, he doesn't understand that he isn't a stallion any more. Everyone looked happy checking out their new place and eating. Jiminey is looking great and he and Lumi can see each other, so it's all good.🤗🤗🤗
Beauty sure does protect "her" yearlings 😊
She's on a mission. 😊 Linda
Horsey logistics…you are such a responsible horse owner. Such an interesting video🐎
Interesting watching them get re-acquainted and establish hierarchy. I hope Lumi settles down soon. I know you know what is best for your herd.
Lucky Lumi has you. I could see him getting passed around with his behavior. You get it!
Gaston is so Canadian, friendly w/everyone😉
Great observation. Linda
I love it whenever lightning tried to go after Esmeralda and beauty come and was like no you don’t mess with me or Esmeralda❤️❤️❤️
Beyond Adorable 🥰 watching the gang together!! Loved everyone checking out The Shed 🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴👍☺️
Lady and her foster children always make me smile 😅 they’ve fully accepted she is now their mum 😂 x
I'm in Louisiana & I know "mud." Moving anything in that saturated topsoil will be/is a beast!!!
Lumiere is sooo worth it! In love with him ❤
A love to see all of Youre. Horses there big, pretty and there haring a big heart ❤😊🌸🦋🐴
Sweet Lumi cant help it that he needs more time to adjust to him missing his cherries. You're helping him to adjust the best way ever!❤
It is so enjoyable to watch (almost) all of the horses together, running around like crazy, even with the kicking. I wasn't alarmed. They are loving it!
It's Beautiful seeing them all out in the pasture!
I so love Lumi ,he just knows he’s gorgeous lol
Yeah,exactly...he's big and pretty and knows it...🤷♀️ but other than that he's such a good boy though, isn't he ?!❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
@@simoneu.nathaus7292Yes, he's awesome. Linda
Lumi is about as beautiful as they come. A feast for the eyes. Also his eyes are so warm and liquid. Naveen is also a very handsome horse. They are all fabulous
I love the mixture of colors that you heard. It just looks beautiful. I didn't realize you had 13 horses. Wow! I think when I started you had like nine. It looks beautiful
Gaston is quietly beautiful. Big strong and so nice. Ariel and Ezzy are really turning out stunners. Missin Miss Belle. Looking forward to the reunion between Ezzy and her mom some day. That should be a good one! Thanks Shea n K
Shae, what you've done seems like such a good way to keep everyone happy! I just love the way that you are so creative in caring for your wonderful herd!❤🎉😂😍❤
Naveem is so special I could watch him all day I know there is not any ugly horses but WOW Love your videos TYM
I could watch you farm activities non-stop. So interesting. You explain their antics and seem so at ease. Thanks for sharing
Yes, Ezzie is glowing.
You are so good to those horses. You see so many not being taken care of. How lucky they have the both of you. You go the extra mile knowing what works and what doesn’t while showing great care to each horse. Amazing, I hope people watching see the commitment you have to have to take care of these beautiful baby’s.
I am SO with Kyle; I get grumpy and hate the heat and humidity too! Hoping all of us gets fall weather pretty soon. Man do you have your hands full with that group!
The colors out there in the field🥰🐎
Your solution is great.. everyone is happy!
The horses are so funny. When they were all together, it was like, "Hey I know you." And then, "Are you new?" OH ya, I know you as well!
