She broke and trained her body and Soul , but Mages are born with their Talents. They never had to struggle like she did. So she was searching for ways to combat them, her affair with Mel's Father who we assume either was a mage or from a family of Mages was targeted. This also explains why she banished Mel to Hide her "Weapon".

And since the only way to get Warwick at this point was to work with Victor, then there wasn't much she could really do. If she left now, she would've lost a good chunk of her forces, plus her right-hand man, for literally nothing, and been in a worse position than she started with.

I’m able to say it now since yall now got to this episode. Jayce said during the confrontation with Mel and Viktor, “My partner died in this room.” Well the people of Twitter decided to go back and look at Viktor during the bombing scene. The animators do an amazing job with micro expressions when someone is knocked unconscious but there was nothing for Viktor, the only time he ever reacted was when he got to the Hex core. There was also a freeze frame when Viktor and the Core were fusing and it showed Viks skeleton, his spine was severed in half at the pelvis. He was dead dead. What Jayce said was kind of true.

I really liked the confrontation between Jinx and Caitlyn. Caitlyn admits that she's simply grown tired of hating Jinx, and she specifically says good deeds won't erase "our" crimes, acknowledging that also crossed lines in her hatred for Jinx and desire for revenge. I also appreciate how honest Jinx was with Caitlyn, admitting that it probably wouldn't have made a difference if she had known Caitlyn's mom was there during her attack, but also letting Caitlyn know that it wasn't personal. It doesn't excuse what Jinx did, and it doesn't make it right, but it's more than I thought Jinx would ever say to Caitlyn. It's telling that Ambessa rants to Mel about unfair mages are, while at the same time making a deal with Viktor to empower her soldiers and use his army of mage created automatons to fight. In the end, Ambessa cares about power for herself above all, even her family, and feels that she's come too far to give up now. As Mel said in an earlier episode, she's desperate. Which in no way excuses Ambessa's actions.
Ambessa's a hypocrite. straight up. she hated magic just because she couldn't use it as a weapon herself. the moment she got her hands on that advantage, magic being "unfair" had no meaning to her. she was hypocritical about her family as well. if it was between power and her children, she'd always choose power. that's why she sacrificed Kino to keep her "weapon" hidden.
Fun fact (also not really a spoiler): The "Rune Wars" the evil sorceress mentions to Mel is the same cataclysm Heimerdinger feared in season 1. Imagine normal ass humans gaining access to creative mode (the "wild magic" Jayce talks about) and using it to nuke each other. Oceans drying, forests being petriffied, wind turning into lava, gravity tearing appart whole cities... Or tearing people's souls out of their body and shattering time like Viktor and Ekko 😂. Just a lot of fun stuff, overall great time to be alive

Your analysis was right. Skye represented Viktor's emotion and humanity. After he got blasted in the chest by Jayce, Viktor said at the end of episode 6 that [Emotion] is what causes the greatest good and greatest evil for humanity. So he must rid himself of it to embrace his Glorious Evolution.
Whilst this is the end so far for piltover and zaun’s story they’ve confirmed they have another show in the works that has already a year of work into it. The next places in runeterra(the planet this all takes place on) they’ll focus on are Noxus where mel and her family comes from as well as where she is currently headed, Ionia which is very asia inspired and where all the animal people called vastayans come from, and demacia very medieval europe inspired full of dragons, knights, and mages
I fully support Vi eating her cupcake before going to war (This is an actual trope called the “Pre-Climax Climax” trope btw lol) Like Vi now believes she has just lost everyone once again like in S1. She does not know that Cait knew she would come down here. She does not know Caitlyn basically helped her break her sister out. For all she knows, not only did she just lose Jinx again, but she must be terrified that she just lost the woman she loves again. So when Caitlyn confirms that she knew what she was doing and actually helped her do it, letting go of her hatred of Jinx in favor of her love for Vi, of course Vi indulges herself and her desires for the first time in the series. Since like Vander said in Episode 7, "As good as it feels to pour everyone's drink, you need to fill your own cup every now and again" and Vi clearly has to think about herself for once and deserves to be happy like Jinx also told her, and if her eating the rich is how she gets to be happy so be it. And before anyone talks or complains about Vi not going after Jinx instantly after being freed. Firstly, Vi would not be able to do anything for Jinx or even be able to talk her out of what she plans on doing next episode, and seeing Vi right after she told her to stop chasing her and to finally be happy would literally just make things worse. Plus, it is a recurring theme of Vi’s failing to actually understand Jinx (A similar thing happened in the finale of S1 when Vi tried to help Jinx but actually just accelerated her mental breakdown). So, this is why Ekko was the one to help her since he has been shown to be able to get through to Jinx before, and narratively, it makes a lot more sense given where he came back from in Episode 7 and who he met/saw who Jinx could be. Secondly, every time Vi has tried going after or simply helping Jinx throughout the series, something always goes horribly wrong. Thirdly, neither Vi nor Cait knew what Jinx planned on doing once she left, and even the viewers weren’t shown until the next episode. Even the show says that “Breaking the Cycle" is walking away, not exploding yourself, so there was no need for them to go after her.
Viktor doing what he is doing makes sense based on his character. He wants to relieve suffering, exactly how he wanted to cure his own illness, and the hexcore provided him with just that. He truly wants to help people and free them from their sufferings. But what the hexcore takes in exchange is free will, everyone transcended by Viktor become a single being of one mind. It erases individuality but it unshackles them from the restraints of the human condition. You are no longer human. Someone can take this in a good way and someone else in a bad way. Like a benevolent god in the first case which also parallels how Viktor was portrayed at first with his utopia. And in the second case like an alien that doesn't understand what it means to be human, through struggles people are able to be courageous (battling fear), selfless (help someone who is suffering). In Viktor's case, he wants to end all conflict and exterminate suffering, but what it entails is that people have to give up a part of themselves that make them human, to not be able to relate to humans fully, if you can't fear because you are above nature then you can't be courageous, if everyone is able to transcend nature and live like gods, then they won't need to love, they won't need to care for others, it paints a picture of isolation and losing emotions that are very dear to humans. Thats why I think it depends on the person who you ask. And why you can have 2 people that strive for the same goal (Jayce and Viktor trying to aid humanity) but value something more than something else, in this case you could say its relief of suffering vs free will, which one is more important? The answer would differ from person to person. The most popular example if you ask me is Health vs Autonomy. Should we prioritize someone's well being over their autonomy or prioritize someone's autonomy over their well being? Should we be able to strip someone's ability to make decisions about themselves and their own body just for the sake of their well being? Aren't we essentially entraping a person and behave like Viktor is? Thats why I think, in one way or another, people resemble Jayce and Viktor, Autonomy vs Health, and that Viktor resembles us more than we realize.
Knowing how viktor actually looks like in the game, and then seeing his backstory of how he became The machine, it's insane how ppl can come up with the story this 🔥
Yeah the scene looks gorgeous, which almost makes it look like what Viktor is doing is a good thing. Then you listen to the lyrics of the song, and at what's actually happening as these characters are 'ascending' or 'evolving' and its horrifyingly tragic.
The symbolism of Viktor's face being rent asunder into a mockery of his humanity is part of why I love the people who made this show. If Viktor from season 1 saw himself he would have been horrified at what he had become and what he had done.

Fun fact the green stones that Ambessa wrapped around her hand at the end, are a in game item that's used against Mages, called Kaenic Rookern, stat wise it provides 80 magic resistance, 400 health and 100% base health regen , on top of having the passive that generates a shield after not taking damage for 15 second, that absorbs magic damage equal to 15% maximum health.
Tbh this is still Jayce's fuck up, he made Viktor into this in the first place, instead of letting him die and destroy the Hexcore, Jayce used it to "heal" Viktor agaisnt his wishes, which got him corrupted to begin with And then when Viktor became the Herald, Jayce just tried to kill him without even trying to convince him to stop, Jayce's attempt to try and kill Viktor pushed Viktor over the edge, an edge he probably wouldn't have crossed by himself without reason The only reason why things are going the way their going is because Jayce tried to stop it without knowing what he's actually doing, the attempt to prevent what he saw is what lead to it even happening, a self forfilling prophecy
If you were more familiar with the game's lore, tales, etc, Noxus actually has more terrifying things than these puppets at face value, thats implicitly why Ambessa's not even fazed or hesitant. Its been a hot minute since Noxus works with crazy shit.
Sex in wartime...there's no guarantee Cait or Vi will survive a war against Ambessa + Victor's "robots", but right then & there, in the prison cell, their feelings are certain and so is the chance to express those feelings. I honestly really really enjoyed Viktor this season, especially the last two episodes, his arc is awesome. So many of his scenes were my favorite. Especially with my favorite band Twenty One Pilots playing during the interesting transformation into honesty the coolest design ever, I LOVE it. Excited for you guys to see his final form! Yeah yordle lifespans are weird. In Arcane they obviously can be killed (see Smeech), but in the 'main canon' they are immortal like Sheera said. Your analysis was right. Skye represented Viktor's emotion and humanity. After he got blasted in the chest by Jayce, Viktor said at the end of episode 6 that [Emotion] is what causes the greatest good and greatest evil for humanity. So he must rid himself of it to embrace his Glorious Evolution.
Whilst this is the end so far for piltover and zaun’s story they’ve confirmed they have another show in the works that has already a year of work into it.
The next places in runeterra(the planet this all takes place on) they’ll focus on are Noxus where mel and her family comes from as well as where she is currently headed, Ionia which is very asia inspired and where all the animal people called vastayans come from, and demacia very medieval europe inspired full of dragons, knights, and mages

Like Vi now believes she has just lost everyone once again like in S1. She does not know that Cait knew she would come down here. She does not know Caitlyn basically helped her break her sister out. For all she knows, not only did she just lose Jinx again, but she must be terrified that she just lost the woman she loves again. So when Caitlyn confirms that she knew what she was doing and actually helped her do it, letting go of her hatred of Jinx in favor of her love for Vi, of course Vi indulges herself and her desires for the first time in the series. Since like Vander said in Episode 7, "As good as it feels to pour everyone's drink, you need to fill your own cup every now and again" and Vi clearly has to think about herself for once and deserves to be happy like Jinx also told her, and if her eating the rich is how she gets to be happy so be it.
And before anyone talks or complains about Vi not going after Jinx instantly after being freed. Firstly, Vi would not be able to do anything for Jinx or even be able to talk her out of what she plans on doing next episode, and seeing Vi right after she told her to stop chasing her and to finally be happy would literally just make things worse. Plus, it is a recurring theme of Vi’s failing to actually understand Jinx (A similar thing happened in the finale of S1 when Vi tried to help Jinx but actually just accelerated her mental breakdown). So, this is why Ekko was the one to help her since he has been shown to be able to get through to Jinx before, and narratively, it makes a lot more sense given where he came back from in Episode 7 and who he met/saw who Jinx could be. Secondly, every time Vi has tried going after or simply helping Jinx throughout the series, something always goes horribly wrong. Thirdly, neither Vi nor Cait knew what Jinx planned on doing once she left, and even the viewers weren’t shown until the next episode. Even the show says that “Breaking the Cycle" is walking away, not exploding yourself, so there was no need for them to go after her.

Viktor doing what he is doing makes sense based on his character. He wants to relieve suffering, exactly how he wanted to cure his own illness, and the hexcore provided him with just that. He truly wants to help people and free them from their sufferings. But what the hexcore takes in exchange is free will, everyone transcended by Viktor become a single being of one mind. It erases individuality but it unshackles them from the restraints of the human condition.
You are no longer human. Someone can take this in a good way and someone else in a bad way. Like a benevolent god in the first case which also parallels how Viktor was portrayed at first with his utopia. And in the second case like an alien that doesn't understand what it means to be human, through struggles people are able to be courageous (battling fear), selfless (help someone who is suffering). In Viktor's case, he wants to end all conflict and exterminate suffering, but what it entails is that people have to give up a part of themselves that make them human, to not be able to relate to humans fully, if you can't fear because you are above nature then you can't be courageous, if everyone is able to transcend nature and live like gods, then they won't need to love, they won't need to care for others, it paints a picture of isolation and losing emotions that are very dear to humans.
Thats why I think it depends on the person who you ask. And why you can have 2 people that strive for the same goal (Jayce and Viktor trying to aid humanity) but value something more than something else, in this case you could say its relief of suffering vs free will, which one is more important? The answer would differ from person to person.
The most popular example if you ask me is Health vs Autonomy. Should we prioritize someone's well being over their autonomy or prioritize someone's autonomy over their well being? Should we be able to strip someone's ability to make decisions about themselves and their own body just for the sake of their well being? Aren't we essentially entraping a person and behave like Viktor is?
Thats why I think, in one way or another, people resemble Jayce and Viktor, Autonomy vs Health, and that Viktor resembles us more than we realize.

The only reason why things are going the way their going is because Jayce tried to stop it without knowing what he's actually doing, the attempt to prevent what he saw is what lead to it even happening, a self forfilling prophecy
If you were more familiar with the game's lore, tales, etc, Noxus actually has more terrifying things than these puppets at face value, thats implicitly why Ambessa's not even fazed or hesitant.
