Did you notice there was a bunch of yellow flowers in the opening scene ? It may be a nod to the scene in KP side story when Vegas explains the yellow flowers stand for love that doesn t expect anything in return...unrequited love. As for Bible and Jes, its beautifully acted, the emotions run deep. I love how versatile Bible is as an actor. His soft side is so convincing. He also has great chemistry with Jes.
don't think they made a nod t o KP/Vegas, seeing this is neither produced by boc nor produced or directed by the same people. yellow happen to have that meaning wich fits the theme of the getsunova's song.
That was definitely lighter than Kinnporsche but still packed a punch. I think Garns heart broke after the daughter was born, he was already heartbroken before it but tried to keep going. It was beautiful. So sad but beautiful.
In the last scene, the girl asks her dad why her name is the same as the man who died. He answers that “your name is Garn which means beloved person”…😭
Yes and no. I think they have as much a deep connection as you can without becoming lovers. The real tragedy is that the love story is not one sided , but they love in different ways. Obviously Tul is comfortable with playing in intimate BL scenes with Garn, knows and accepts that Garns is in love with him. So there is some degree of reciprocity , at least of deep trust even with physical contact. But Tul just won't desire him physically the way Garn pines after him, with sweaty hands. . He is straight ( at least mostly), wants to love and live with a woman and raise a family, and he can't have that with Garn. It is so hard watching Garn having his heart broken, yet not moving on from Tul and keeping loving him from the distance set by him when they were by the river or lake side... Its a rather universal story. It can also happen in a similar way to any straight bi or gay couple when one won't meet the other on the passion side but instead is satisfied with platonic love or exclusive friendship.
